CVSS v3.1 |
Bludit CMS through 3.22.0 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows authenticated users with the Author role to enumerate and delete media files belonging to pages owned by other users, including administrators, by supplying arbitrary uuid parameters to unprotected AJAX endpoints. Attackers can retrieve page UUIDs for all users via the content-get-list endpoint and then submit crafted POST requests to the list-images and delete-image endpoints in bl-kernel/ajax/ to access and destroy media files outside their own pages, bypassing the IMAGE_RESTRICT isolation control.
Bludit CMS through 3.22.0 contains a missing authorization vulnerability that allows authenticated users holding the Author or Editor role to read the full content of private drafts and scheduled posts belonging to any other user, including administrators, by exploiting the content-get-list AJAX endpoint in bl-kernel/ajax/content-get-list.php. Attackers can send an authenticated GET request to the admin AJAX endpoint with the draft parameter set to true, triggering getList() without ownership constraints and returning serialized page objects site-wide, exposing pre-publication material and sensitive notes stored in administrator-owned drafts.
Bludit CMS through 3.22.0 contains a mass assignment vulnerability that allows authenticated users with the Author role to modify privileged page fields reserved for administrators by injecting reserved parameters into a content save request. Attackers can submit reserved fields such as type and username through the Pages::edit() function in bl-kernel/pages.class.php, which iterates all fields declared in dbFields without per-field authorization, enabling an Author to convert pages to static site-wide navigation entries or transfer page ownership to arbitrary accounts.
A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Bludit 4.0.0-beta allows a low-privileged authenticated user (Author role) to inject arbitrary JavaScript by uploading a crafted SVG file as the site logo. A stored script tag in the SVG executes in the browser of any user who loads the logo.
Bludit CMS prior to commit 6732dde contains a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability in the search plugin that allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary JavaScript by crafting a malicious search query. Attackers can execute malicious scripts in the browsers of users who visit crafted URLs containing the payload, potentially stealing session cookies or performing actions on behalf of affected users.
Bludit CMS before version 3.18.4 allows Remote Code Execution (RCE) via the API Plugin. The POST /api/files/{key} endpoint in bl-plugins/api/plugin.php fails to perform authorization checks and lacks file extension validation. An attacker with a valid API token can upload a malicious PHP script and execute arbitrary code on the server.
An issue in the api/plugin.php component of Bludit v3.19.0 allows attackers to execute a directory traversal via supplying a crafted request.
Bludit is a content management system. Versions prior to 3.22.0 have a Broken Access Control flaw where active sessions remain valid even after the corresponding user account has been physically deleted from the database. This "Ghost Session" allows revoked users to maintain full unauthorized access to the system. Version 3.22.0 fixes the issue.
Bludit is a content management system. Versions prior to 3.22.0 have a vulnerability in the user management logic that allows deactivated accounts to maintain access via persistent authentication tokens. When an administrator disables a user account, the application fails to invalidate or clear the associated tokenAuth and tokenRemember fields in the JSON database. Consequently, any user with a pre-existing "Remember Me" cookie can bypass the account disablement and maintain a valid authenticated state. Version 3.22.0 patches the issue.
| Bludit is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in its page creating functionality. An authenticated attacker with page creation privileges (such as Author, Editor, or Administrator) can embed a malicious JavaScript payload in the tags field of a newly created article. This payload will be executed when a victim visits the URL of the uploaded resource. The uploaded resource itself is accessible without authentication. Critically, this vulnerability could be used to automatically create a new site administrator if the victim has enough privileges.
The vendor was notified early about this vulnerability, but didn't respond with the details of vulnerability or vulnerable version range. Only versions 3.17.2 and 3.18.0 were tested and confirmed as vulnerable, other versions were not tested and might also be vulnerable. |
Bludit version 3.16.2 contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the post content functionality. The application performs client-side sanitation of content input but does not enforce equivalent sanitation on the server side. An authenticated user can inject arbitrary JavaScript into the content field of a post, which is stored and later rendered to other users without proper output encoding. When viewed, the injected script executes in the context of the victim’s browser, allowing session hijacking, credential theft, content manipulation, or other actions within the user’s privileges.
Bludit version 3.16.1 contains a cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in the /admin/uninstall-plugin/ and /admin/install-theme/ endpoints. The application does not implement anti-CSRF tokens or other request origin validation mechanisms for these administrative actions. An attacker can induce an authenticated administrator to visit a malicious page that silently submits crafted requests, resulting in unauthorized plugin uninstallation or theme installation. This may lead to loss of functionality, execution of untrusted code via malicious themes, and compromise of system integrity.
Bludit versions before 3.13.1 contain an authenticated file download vulnerability in the Backup Plugin that allows logged-in users to access arbitrary files. Attackers can exploit the plugin's download functionality by manipulating file path parameters to read sensitive system files through directory traversal.
Bludit uses the SHA-1 hashing algorithm to compute password hashes. Thus, attackers could determine cleartext passwords with brute-force attacks due to the inherent speed of SHA-1. In addition, the salt that is computed by Bludit is generated with a non-cryptographically secure function.
A session fixation vulnerability in Bludit allows an attacker to bypass the server's authentication if they can trick an administrator or any other user into authorizing a session ID of their choosing.
A security vulnerability has been identified in Bludit, allowing authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code through the Image API. This vulnerability arises from improper handling of file uploads, enabling malicious actors to upload and execute PHP files.
Bludit uses predictable methods in combination with the MD5 hashing algorithm to generate sensitive tokens such as the API token and the user token. This allows attackers to authenticate against the Bludit API.
A security vulnerability has been identified in Bludit, allowing attackers with knowledge of the API token to upload arbitrary files through the File API which leads to arbitrary code execution on the server. This vulnerability arises from improper handling of file uploads, enabling malicious actors to upload and execute PHP files.
In Bludit v1.5.2 and v2.0.1, an XSS vulnerability is located in the new page, new category, and edit post function body message context. Remote attackers are able to bypass the basic editor validation to trigger cross site scripting. The XSS is persistent and the request method to inject via editor is GET. To save the editor context, the followup POST method request must be processed to perform the attack via the application side. The basic validation of the editor does not allow injecting script codes and blocks the context. Attackers can inject the code by using an editor tag that is not recognized by the basic validation. Thus allows a restricted user account to inject malicious script code to perform a persistent attack against higher privilege web-application user accounts.
A vulnerability was found in Bludit 3.13.1. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects the endpoint /admin/new-content of the New Content module. The manipulation of the argument content with the input <script>alert(1)</script> leads to cross site scripting. The attack can be initiated remotely but requires an authentication. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used.
