CVE-2026-53759 1 Linuxfabrik 1 Monitoring-plugins 2026-08-21 N/A
linuxfabrik-lib provides Python modules for database access, caching, shell execution, and API integrations. Prior to version 4.2.0, db_sqlite.py created SQLite databases at predictable paths in the shared /tmp directory and followed attacker-created symbolic links at those paths. An attacker who controls a local monitoring account can create a symlink such as /tmp/linuxfabrik-monitoring-plugins-docker-stats.db and then trigger a sudo-authorized plugin, causing the root process to create or modify the symlink target. The primitive can overwrite arbitrary paths, cause denial of service, or manipulate an existing SQLite database through a crafted rollback journal or write-ahead log. The Monitoring Plugins integration also moved plugin caches through lib.db_sqlite.get_db_path() so they use the secured per-user directory. This issue is fixed in version 4.2.0.
CVE-2026-55086 1 Etherpad 1 Etherpad 2026-08-21 4.2 Medium
Etherpad is a real-time collaborative editor. Prior to 3.1.0, src/node/handler/ImportHandler.ts and src/node/handler/ExportHandler.ts derive temporary filenames from Math.random() and place them in os.tmpdir(). On a host with a shared world-writable temporary directory, a local unprivileged attacker who predicts a filename can precreate a symbolic link to a file writable by the Etherpad process. Subsequent import or export operations can follow the link through fs.writeFile, fs.rename, or document-conversion output and overwrite the target with partially attacker-controlled content. This issue is fixed in version 3.1.0.
CVE-2025-14602 1 Vsdesk 1 Vsdesk 2026-08-20 N/A
The application generates uploaded file names using a weak and predictable method based on the request timestamp. This allows a remote attacker to accurately guess or brute-force the generated filename within a short time window. An attacker can successfully locate and access uploaded files, which can be used to facilitate further attacks. Apply patch from vendor https://vsdesk.ru/ . Versions 14.0101 and on have the patch.
CVE-2026-75920 1 Phpmyfaq 1 Phpmyfaq 2026-08-20 5.3 Medium
phpMyFAQ before v4.1.6 writes content backup ZIP archives to the web-accessible document root at content.zip, exposing sensitive files including database credentials. Unauthenticated attackers can race concurrent requests to download the temporary ZIP file before deletion, or exploit XSS in admin contexts to trigger authenticated backups and retrieve the archive.
CVE-2025-4953 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Openshift 2026-06-30 7.4 High
A flaw was found in Podman. In a Containerfile or Podman, data written to RUN --mount=type=bind mounts during the podman build is not discarded. This issue can lead to files created within the container appearing in the temporary build context directory on the host, leaving the created files accessible.
CVE-2026-41001 1 Spring 1 Spring Boot 2026-06-23 5.3 Medium
Spring Boot's ArtemisEmbeddedConfigurationFactory uses a fixed, static path for the embedded Artemis message broker's data directory when no explicit path is configured. A local attacker on the same host can pre-create this predictable directory or place a symlink before the application starts. Affected versions: Spring Boot 4.0.0 through 4.0.6; 3.5.0 through 3.5.14; 3.4.0 through 3.4.16; 3.3.0 through 3.3.19; 2.7.0 through 2.7.33.
CVE-2026-45988 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-16 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rxrpc: Fix re-decryption of RESPONSE packets If a RESPONSE packet gets a temporary failure during processing, it may end up in a partially decrypted state - and then get requeued for a retry. Fix this by just discarding the packet; we will send another CHALLENGE packet and thereby elicit a further response. Similarly, discard an incoming CHALLENGE packet if we get an error whilst generating a RESPONSE; the server will send another CHALLENGE.
CVE-2026-46192 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: microchip-core-qspi: don't attempt to transmit during emulated read-only dual/quad operations The core will deal with reads by creating clock cycles itself, there's no need to generate clock cycles by transmitting garbage data at the driver level. Further, transmitting garbage data just bricks the transfer since QSPI doesn't have a dedicated master-out line like MOSI in regular SPI. I'm not entirely sure if the transfer is bricked because of the garbage data being transmitted on the bus or because the core loses track of whether it is supposed to be sending or receiving data.
CVE-2026-46148 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-10 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: microchip-core-qspi: control built-in cs manually The coreQSPI IP supports only a single chip select, which is automagically operated by the hardware - set low when the transmit buffer first gets written to and set high when the number of bytes written to the TOTALBYTES field of the FRAMES register have been sent on the bus. Additional devices must use GPIOs for their chip selects. It was reported to me that if there are two devices attached to this QSPI controller that the in-built chip select is set low while linux tries to access the device attached to the GPIO. This went undetected as the boards that connected multiple devices to the SPI controller all exclusively used GPIOs for chip selects, not relying on the built-in chip select at all. It turns out that this was because the built-in chip select, when controlled automagically, is set low when active and high when inactive, thereby ruling out its use for active-high devices or devices that need to transmit with the chip select disabled. Modify the driver so that it controls chip select directly, retaining the behaviour for mem_ops of setting the chip select active for the entire duration of the transfer in the exec_op callback. For regular transfers, implement the set_cs callback for the core to use. As part of this, the existing setup callback, mchp_coreqspi_setup_op(), is removed. Modifying the CLKIDLE field is not safe to do during operation when there are multiple devices, so this code is removed entirely. Setting the MASTER and ENABLE fields is something that can be done once at probe, it doesn't need to be re-run for each device. Instead the new setup callback sets the built-in chip select to its inactive state for active-low devices, as the reset value of the chip select in software controlled mode is low.
CVE-2026-46206 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-10 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: reject new tp_meter sessions during teardown Prevent tp_meter from starting new sender or receiver sessions after mesh_state has left BATADV_MESH_ACTIVE.
CVE-2026-46108 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipmi:si: Return state to normal if message allocation fails There were places where nothing would get started if a message allocation failed, so the driver needs to return to normal state.
CVE-2026-31676 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-01 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rxrpc: only handle RESPONSE during service challenge Only process RESPONSE packets while the service connection is still in RXRPC_CONN_SERVICE_CHALLENGING. Check that state under state_lock before running response verification and security initialization, then use a local secured flag to decide whether to queue the secured-connection work after the state transition. This keeps duplicate or late RESPONSE packets from re-running the setup path and removes the unlocked post-transition state test.
CVE-2025-71304 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-29 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smack: /smack/doi: accept previously used values Writing to /smack/doi a value that has ever been written there in the past disables networking for non-ambient labels. E.g. # cat /smack/doi 3 # netlabelctl -p cipso list Configured CIPSO mappings (1) DOI value : 3 mapping type : PASS_THROUGH # netlabelctl -p map list Configured NetLabel domain mappings (3) domain: "_" (IPv4) protocol: UNLABELED domain: DEFAULT (IPv4) protocol: CIPSO, DOI = 3 domain: DEFAULT (IPv6) protocol: UNLABELED # cat /smack/ambient _ # cat /proc/$$/attr/smack/current _ # ping -c1 10.1.95.12 64 bytes from 10.1.95.12: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.964 ms # echo foo >/proc/$$/attr/smack/current # ping -c1 10.1.95.12 64 bytes from 10.1.95.12: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.956 ms unknown option 86 # echo 4 >/smack/doi # echo 3 >/smack/doi !> [ 214.050395] smk_cipso_doi:691 cipso add rc = -17 # echo 3 >/smack/doi !> [ 249.402261] smk_cipso_doi:678 remove rc = -2 !> [ 249.402261] smk_cipso_doi:691 cipso add rc = -17 # ping -c1 10.1.95.12 !!> ping: 10.1.95.12: Address family for hostname not supported # echo _ >/proc/$$/attr/smack/current # ping -c1 10.1.95.12 64 bytes from 10.1.95.12: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.617 ms This happens because Smack keeps decommissioned DOIs, fails to re-add them, and consequently refuses to add the “default” domain map: # netlabelctl -p cipso list Configured CIPSO mappings (2) DOI value : 3 mapping type : PASS_THROUGH DOI value : 4 mapping type : PASS_THROUGH # netlabelctl -p map list Configured NetLabel domain mappings (2) domain: "_" (IPv4) protocol: UNLABELED !> (no ipv4 map for default domain here) domain: DEFAULT (IPv6) protocol: UNLABELED Fix by clearing decommissioned DOI definitions and serializing concurrent DOI updates with a new lock. Also: - allow /smack/doi to live unconfigured, since adding a map (netlbl_cfg_cipsov4_map_add) may fail. CIPSO_V4_DOI_UNKNOWN(0) indicates the unconfigured DOI - add new DOI before removing the old default map, so the old map remains if the add fails (2008-02-04, Casey Schaufler)
CVE-2026-45912 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-27 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: don't cache extent during splitting extent Caching extents during the splitting process is risky, as it may result in stale extents remaining in the status tree. Moreover, in most cases, the corresponding extent block entries are likely already cached before the split happens, making caching here not particularly useful. Assume we have an unwritten extent, and then DIO writes the first half. [UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU] on-disk extent U: unwritten extent [UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU] extent status tree |<- ->| ----> dio write this range First, when ext4_split_extent_at() splits this extent, it truncates the existing extent and then inserts a new one. During this process, this extent status entry may be shrunk, and calls to ext4_find_extent() and ext4_cache_extents() may occur, which could potentially insert the truncated range as a hole into the extent status tree. After the split is completed, this hole is not replaced with the correct status. [UUUUUUU|UUUUUUUU] on-disk extent U: unwritten extent [UUUUUUU|HHHHHHHH] extent status tree H: hole Then, the outer calling functions will not correct this remaining hole extent either. Finally, if we perform a delayed buffer write on this latter part, it will re-insert the delayed extent and cause an error in space accounting. In adition, if the unwritten extent cache is not shrunk during the splitting, ext4_cache_extents() also conflicts with existing extents when caching extents. In the future, we will add checks when caching extents, which will trigger a warning. Therefore, Do not cache extents that are being split.
CVE-2026-43363 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/apic: Disable x2apic on resume if the kernel expects so When resuming from s2ram, firmware may re-enable x2apic mode, which may have been disabled by the kernel during boot either because it doesn't support IRQ remapping or for other reasons. This causes the kernel to continue using the xapic interface, while the hardware is in x2apic mode, which causes hangs. This happens on defconfig + bare metal + s2ram. Fix this in lapic_resume() by disabling x2apic if the kernel expects it to be disabled, i.e. when x2apic_mode = 0. The ACPI v6.6 spec, Section 16.3 [1] says firmware restores either the pre-sleep configuration or initial boot configuration for each CPU, including MSR state: When executing from the power-on reset vector as a result of waking from an S2 or S3 sleep state, the platform firmware performs only the hardware initialization required to restore the system to either the state the platform was in prior to the initial operating system boot, or to the pre-sleep configuration state. In multiprocessor systems, non-boot processors should be placed in the same state as prior to the initial operating system boot. (further ahead) If this is an S2 or S3 wake, then the platform runtime firmware restores minimum context of the system before jumping to the waking vector. This includes: CPU configuration. Platform runtime firmware restores the pre-sleep configuration or initial boot configuration of each CPU (MSR, MTRR, firmware update, SMBase, and so on). Interrupts must be disabled (for IA-32 processors, disabled by CLI instruction). (and other things) So at least as per the spec, re-enablement of x2apic by the firmware is allowed if "x2apic on" is a part of the initial boot configuration. CVE-2026-43145 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-13 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: remoteproc: imx_rproc: Fix invalid loaded resource table detection imx_rproc_elf_find_loaded_rsc_table() may incorrectly report a loaded resource table even when the current firmware does not provide one. When the device tree contains a "rsc-table" entry, priv->rsc_table is non-NULL and denotes where a resource table would be located if one is present in memory. However, when the current firmware has no resource table, rproc->table_ptr is NULL. The function still returns priv->rsc_table, and the remoteproc core interprets this as a valid loaded resource table. Fix this by returning NULL from imx_rproc_elf_find_loaded_rsc_table() when there is no resource table for the current firmware (i.e. when rproc->table_ptr is NULL). This aligns the function's semantics with the remoteproc core: a loaded resource table is only reported when a valid table_ptr exists. With this change, starting firmware without a resource table no longer triggers a crash.
CVE-2026-31773 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: SMP: derive legacy responder STK authentication from MITM state The legacy responder path in smp_random() currently labels the stored STK as authenticated whenever pending_sec_level is BT_SECURITY_HIGH. That reflects what the local service requested, not what the pairing flow actually achieved. For Just Works/Confirm legacy pairing, SMP_FLAG_MITM_AUTH stays clear and the resulting STK should remain unauthenticated even if the local side requested HIGH security. Use the established MITM state when storing the responder STK so the key metadata matches the pairing result. This also keeps the legacy path aligned with the Secure Connections code, which already treats JUST_WORKS/JUST_CFM as unauthenticated.
CVE-2026-43226 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/rds: No shortcut out of RDS_CONN_ERROR RDS connections carry a state "rds_conn_path::cp_state" and transitions from one state to another and are conditional upon an expected state: "rds_conn_path_transition." There is one exception to this conditionality, which is "RDS_CONN_ERROR" that can be enforced by "rds_conn_path_drop" regardless of what state the condition is currently in. But as soon as a connection enters state "RDS_CONN_ERROR", the connection handling code expects it to go through the shutdown-path. The RDS/TCP multipath changes added a shortcut out of "RDS_CONN_ERROR" straight back to "RDS_CONN_CONNECTING" via "rds_tcp_accept_one_path" (e.g. after "rds_tcp_state_change"). A subsequent "rds_tcp_reset_callbacks" can then transition the state to "RDS_CONN_RESETTING" with a shutdown-worker queued. That'll trip up "rds_conn_init_shutdown", which was never adjusted to handle "RDS_CONN_RESETTING" and subsequently drops the connection with the dreaded "DR_INV_CONN_STATE", which leaves "RDS_SHUTDOWN_WORK_QUEUED" on forever. So we do two things here: a) Don't shortcut "RDS_CONN_ERROR", but take the longer path through the shutdown code. b) Add "RDS_CONN_RESETTING" to the expected states in "rds_conn_init_shutdown" so that we won't error out and get stuck, if we ever hit weird state transitions like this again."
CVE-2026-43273 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ceph: supply snapshot context in ceph_zero_partial_object() The ceph_zero_partial_object function was missing proper snapshot context for its OSD write operations, which could lead to data inconsistencies in snapshots. Reproducer: ../src/vstart.sh --new -x --localhost --bluestore ./bin/ceph auth caps client.fs_a mds 'allow rwps fsname=a' mon 'allow r fsname=a' osd 'allow rw tag cephfs data=a' mount -t ceph fs_a@.a=/ /mnt/mycephfs/ -o conf=./ceph.conf dd if=/dev/urandom of=/mnt/mycephfs/foo bs=64K count=1 mkdir /mnt/mycephfs/.snap/snap1 md5sum /mnt/mycephfs/.snap/snap1/foo fallocate -p -o 0 -l 4096 /mnt/mycephfs/foo echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop/caches md5sum /mnt/mycephfs/.snap/snap1/foo # get different md5sum!!
CVE-2026-31754 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: cdns3: gadget: fix state inconsistency on gadget init failure When cdns3_gadget_start() fails, the DRD hardware is left in gadget mode while software state remains INACTIVE, creating hardware/software state inconsistency. When switching to host mode via sysfs: echo host > /sys/class/usb_role/13180000.usb-role-switch/role The role state is not set to CDNS_ROLE_STATE_ACTIVE due to the error, so cdns_role_stop() skips cleanup because state is still INACTIVE. This violates the DRD controller design specification (Figure22), which requires returning to idle state before switching roles. This leads to a synchronous external abort in xhci_gen_setup() when setting up the host controller: [ 516.440698] configfs-gadget 13180000.usb: failed to start g1: -19 [ 516.442035] cdns-usb3 13180000.usb: Failed to add gadget [ 516.443278] cdns-usb3 13180000.usb: set role 2 has failed ... [ 1301.375722] xhci-hcd xhci-hcd.1.auto: xHCI Host Controller [ 1301.377716] Internal error: synchronous external abort: 96000010 [#1] PREEMPT SMP [ 1301.382485] pc : xhci_gen_setup+0xa4/0x408 [ 1301.393391] backtrace: ... xhci_gen_setup+0xa4/0x408 <-- CRASH xhci_plat_setup+0x44/0x58 usb_add_hcd+0x284/0x678 ... cdns_role_set+0x9c/0xbc <-- Role switch Fix by calling cdns_drd_gadget_off() in the error path to properly clean up the DRD gadget state.
