CVE-2026-72075 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: ims-pcu - fix race condition in reset_device sysfs callback The ims_pcu_reset_device() sysfs callback calls ims_pcu_execute_command() without acquiring pcu->cmd_mutex. This can lead to data races and corruption of the shared command buffer if triggered concurrently with other commands. Acquire pcu->cmd_mutex before calling ims_pcu_execute_command().
CVE-2026-64136 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: protect tc_count increment in smb2_find_smb_sess_tcon_unlocked() Commit 96c4af418586 ("cifs: Fix locking usage for tcon fields") refactored cifs code to change cifs_tcp_ses_lock for tc_lock around tc_count changes. There was missing lock around tc_count increment inside smb2_find_smb_sess_tcon_unlocked().
CVE-2026-53071 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-28 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: l2cap: Add missing chan lock in l2cap_ecred_reconf_rsp l2cap_ecred_reconf_rsp() calls l2cap_chan_del() without holding l2cap_chan_lock(). Every other l2cap_chan_del() caller in the file acquires the lock first. A remote BLE device can send a crafted L2CAP ECRED reconfiguration response to corrupt the channel list while another thread is iterating it. Add l2cap_chan_hold() and l2cap_chan_lock() before l2cap_chan_del(), and l2cap_chan_unlock() and l2cap_chan_put() after, matching the pattern used in l2cap_ecred_conn_rsp() and l2cap_conn_del().
CVE-2026-53062 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-28 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm cache policy smq: fix missing locks in invalidating cache blocks In passthrough mode, the policy invalidate_mapping operation is called simultaneously from multiple workers, thus it should be protected by a lock. Otherwise, we might end up with data races on the allocated blocks counter, or even use-after-free issues with internal data structures when doing concurrent writes. Note that the existing FIXME in smq_invalidate_mapping() doesn't affect passthrough mode since migration tasks don't exist there, but would need attention if supporting fast device shrinking via suspend/resume without target reloading. Reproduce steps: 1. Create a cache device consisting of 1024 cache entries dmsetup create cmeta --table "0 8192 linear /dev/sdc 0" dmsetup create cdata --table "0 131072 linear /dev/sdc 8192" dmsetup create corig --table "0 262144 linear /dev/sdc 262144" dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/mapper/cmeta bs=4k count=1 oflag=direct dmsetup create cache --table "0 262144 cache /dev/mapper/cmeta \ /dev/mapper/cdata /dev/mapper/corig 128 2 metadata2 writethrough smq 0" 2. Populate the cache, and record the number of cached blocks fio --name=populate --filename=/dev/mapper/cache --rw=randwrite --bs=4k \ --size=64m --direct=1 nr_cached=$(dmsetup status cache | awk '{split($7, a, "/"); print a[1]}') 3. Reload the cache into passthrough mode dmsetup suspend cache dmsetup reload cache --table "0 262144 cache /dev/mapper/cmeta \ /dev/mapper/cdata /dev/mapper/corig 128 2 metadata2 passthrough smq 0" dmsetup resume cache 4. Write to the passthrough cache. By setting multiple jobs with I/O size equal to the cache block size, cache blocks are invalidated concurrently from different workers. fio --filename=/dev/mapper/cache --name=test --rw=randwrite --bs=64k \ --direct=1 --numjobs=2 --randrepeat=0 --size=64m 5. Check if demoted matches cached block count. These numbers should match but may differ due to the data race. nr_demoted=$(dmsetup status cache | awk '{print $12}') echo "$nr_cached, $nr_demoted"
CVE-2026-53049 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-28 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gfs2: add some missing log locking Function gfs2_logd() calls the log flushing functions gfs2_ail1_start(), gfs2_ail1_wait(), and gfs2_ail1_empty() without holding sdp->sd_log_flush_lock, but these functions require exclusion against concurrent transactions. To fix that, add a non-locking __gfs2_log_flush() function. Then, in gfs2_logd(), take sdp->sd_log_flush_lock before calling the above mentioned log flushing functions and __gfs2_log_flush().
CVE-2026-53020 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-28 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: um: Fix potential race condition in TLB sync During the TLB sync, we need to traverse and modify the page table, so we should hold the page table lock. Since full SMP support for threads within the same process is still missing, let's disable the split page table lock for simplicity.
CVE-2026-46287 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: txgbe: fix RTNL assertion warning when remove module For the copper NIC with external PHY, the driver called phylink_connect_phy() during probe and phylink_disconnect_phy() during remove. It caused an RTNL assertion warning in phylink_disconnect_phy() upon module remove. To fix this, add rtnl_lock() and rtnl_unlock() around the phylink_disconnect_phy() in remove function. ------------[ cut here ]------------ RTNL: assertion failed at drivers/net/phy/phylink.c (2351) WARNING: drivers/net/phy/phylink.c:2351 at phylink_disconnect_phy+0xd8/0xf0 [phylink], CPU#0: rmmod/4464 Modules linked in: ... CVE-2026-43109 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-17 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86: shadow stacks: proper error handling for mmap lock 김영민 reports that shstk_pop_sigframe() doesn't check for errors from mmap_read_lock_killable(), which is a silly oversight, and also shows that we haven't marked those functions with "__must_check", which would have immediately caught it. So let's fix both issues.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: Add HID_CLAIMED_INPUT guards in raw_event callbacks missing them In commit 2ff5baa9b527 ("HID: appleir: Fix potential NULL dereference at raw event handle"), we handle the fact that raw event callbacks can happen even for a HID device that has not been "claimed" causing a crash if a broken device were attempted to be connected to the system. Fix up the remaining in-tree HID drivers that forgot to add this same check to resolve the same issue.
CVE-2023-52635 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 4 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2026-01-05 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PM / devfreq: Synchronize devfreq_monitor_[start/stop] There is a chance if a frequent switch of the governor done in a loop result in timer list corruption where timer cancel being done from two place one from cancel_delayed_work_sync() and followed by expire_timers() can be seen from the traces[1]. while true do echo "simple_ondemand" > /sys/class/devfreq/1d84000.ufshc/governor echo "performance" > /sys/class/devfreq/1d84000.ufshc/governor done It looks to be issue with devfreq driver where device_monitor_[start/stop] need to synchronized so that delayed work should get corrupted while it is either being queued or running or being cancelled. Let's use polling flag and devfreq lock to synchronize the queueing the timer instance twice and work data being corrupted. Race condition vulnerability in the kernel file system module. Impact: Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may affect availability.
CVE-2023-52524 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-05-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: nfc: llcp: Add lock when modifying device list The device list needs its associated lock held when modifying it, or the list could become corrupted, as syzbot discovered.
CVE-2021-47132 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-05-04 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: fix sk_forward_memory corruption on retransmission MPTCP sk_forward_memory handling is a bit special, as such field is protected by the msk socket spin_lock, instead of the plain socket lock. Currently we have a code path updating such field without handling the relevant lock: __mptcp_retrans() -> __mptcp_clean_una_wakeup() Several helpers in __mptcp_clean_una_wakeup() will update sk_forward_alloc, possibly causing such field corruption, as reported by Matthieu. Address the issue providing and using a new variant of blamed function which explicitly acquires the msk spin lock.
CVE-2024-26631 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2025-05-04 2.5 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: fix data-race in ipv6_mc_down / mld_ifc_work idev->mc_ifc_count can be written over without proper locking. Originally found by syzbot [1], fix this issue by encapsulating calls to mld_ifc_stop_work() (and mld_gq_stop_work() for good measure) with mutex_lock() and mutex_unlock() accordingly as these functions should only be called with mc_lock per their declarations. CVE-2022-48926 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-05-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: rndis: add spinlock for rndis response list There's no lock for rndis response list. It could cause list corruption if there're two different list_add at the same time like below. It's better to add in rndis_add_response / rndis_free_response / rndis_get_next_response to prevent any race condition on response list. [ 361.894299] [1: irq/191-dwc3:16979] list_add corruption. next->prev should be prev (ffffff80651764d0), but was ffffff883dc36f80. (next=ffffff80651764d0). CVE-2023-52505 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-05-04 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: phy: lynx-28g: serialize concurrent phy_set_mode_ext() calls to shared registers The protocol converter configuration registers PCC8, PCCC, PCCD (implemented by the driver), as well as others, control protocol converters from multiple lanes (each represented as a different struct phy). So, if there are simultaneous calls to phy_set_mode_ext() to lanes sharing the same PCC register (either for the "old" or for the "new" protocol), corruption of the values programmed to hardware is possible, because lynx_28g_rmw() has no locking. Add a spinlock in the struct lynx_28g_priv shared by all lanes, and take the global spinlock from the phy_ops :: set_mode() implementation. There are no other callers which modify PCC registers.
CVE-2023-52493 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-05-04 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bus: mhi: host: Drop chan lock before queuing buffers Ensure read and write locks for the channel are not taken in succession by dropping the read lock from parse_xfer_event() such that a callback given to client can potentially queue buffers and acquire the write lock in that process. Any queueing of buffers should be done without channel read lock acquired as it can result in multiple locks and a soft lockup. [mani: added fixes tag and cc'ed stable]
