CVE-2026-74663 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-22 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: reject overly deep qdisc hierarchies Deep qdisc hierarchies can lead to excessive recursion in qdisc tree walkers and exhaust the kernel stack. The existing loop check does not cover the create-and-graft path, so a hierarchy can still be extended by creating a new child qdisc below an already deep parent. Store the hierarchy depth in struct Qdisc and update it when qdiscs are grafted. Reject new child qdiscs once the parent is already at the maximum allowed depth.
CVE-2026-74696 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-22 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: fix TFO max_qlen accounting across reuseport migration A listener's TCP_FASTOPEN max_qlen stops being accurate and lets through far more pending Fast Open requests than it was configured for. This only shows up with SO_REUSEPORT listener migration, where closing a listener hands its still-pending TFO children over to a surviving one. fastopenq.qlen is charged in tcp_fastopen_create_child() when the child is created and uncharged in reqsk_fastopen_remove() when the handshake completes. The uncharge follows rsk_listener of the request the child points at, and inet_reqsk_clone() has repointed the child at a new request owned by the new listener, so the ++ and the -- land on two different sockets. The new listener's qlen drifts negative and its limit no longer binds. Charge the new listener during migration, like reqsk_queue_migrated() already does for queue->young and queue->qlen.
CVE-2026-74653 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-22 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: 8250_of: clear stuck empty-FIFO RX-timeout on LPC32xx The NXP LPC32xx UART (PORT_LPC3220) can latch an RX character-timeout interrupt while the RX FIFO is empty: IIR reports UART_IIR_RX_TIMEOUT (0x0c) but LSR.DR is clear. A character timeout is only cleared by reading RHR, but serial8250_rx_chars() reads RHR only when LSR.DR is set, so nothing ever clears the condition. The interrupt is level-triggered and re-fires immediately, so on a single-core ARM926 the resulting interrupt storm livelocks the CPU. It is reproducible when userspace repeatedly opens the front-panel port (ttyS1): serial8250_do_set_termios() re-enables interrupts on unlock and the handler then spins forever with iir=0xcc lsr=0x60 ier=0x05, tripping the soft-lockup detector in serial8250_handle_irq_locked(). LPC32xx has no dedicated 8250 glue driver, it's driven by the generic 8250_of. Add a hardware specific handle_irq for PORT_LPC3220, wired up in of_platform_serial_setup() the same way fsl8250_handle_irq is installed. The handler follows dw8250_handle_irq(): on an RX timeout with an empty FIFO (LSR.DR and LSR.BI clear) it does one throwaway RHR read to clear the condition, then calls serial8250_handle_irq_locked(). No real received data is ever discarded, and it is a no-op on healthy UARTs which never report a timeout with DR clear. This is the same class of bug already worked around in other 8250 drivers; see commit 424d79183af0 ("serial: 8250_dw: Avoid "too much work" from bogus rx timeout interrupt") which reports the identical iir=0xcc/lsr=0x60. See also UART_RX_TIMEOUT_QUIRK in 8250_omap, and the note in 8250_bcm7271.
CVE-2026-72465 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-22 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xprtrdma: Sanitize the reply credit grant after parsing The out_norqst exit in rpcrdma_reply_handler() branches away before the credit clamp, so a reply that matches no pending request reaches out_post carrying the raw credit value parsed from the wire. rpcrdma_post_recvs() does not bound its @needed argument: the refill loop allocates and chains Receive WRs until the count is satisfied or allocation fails. A peer that sends a well-formed reply carrying an unknown XID and an inflated credit grant therefore drives rep allocation and Receive posting past re_max_requests on every such reply. Move the clamp to immediately after the credit field is parsed, ahead of the first branch that can reach out_post, so every later consumer sees a sanitized value. The cwnd update stays on the matched-request path.
CVE-2026-72495 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-22 9.3 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/bnxt_re: Avoid repeated requests to allocate WC pages Applications can request multiple WC pages for the same ucontext. As of now, only 1 WC page per ucontext is supported. Add a lock to avoid concurrent access and a check to fail repeated requests. Also, if the mmap entry insert fails for the WC, free the Doorbell page index mapped for the WC page.
CVE-2026-49870 1 Grokability 1 Snipe-it 2026-08-21 5.9 Medium
Snipe-IT is an IT asset/license management system. Prior to 8.6.1, POST /two-factor has no rate limiting, lockout, or attempt counter, allowing an attacker with valid credentials to submit unlimited TOTP guesses against the three accepted codes created by config/google2fa.php window=1. A successful guess creates a fully authenticated session. When two_factor_enabled is 1, POST /account/profile with two_factor_optin=0 can disable two-factor authentication without OTP reverification, while required mode 2 prevents that opt-out. An administrator can also use POST /api/v1/users/two_factor_reset to clear another user's secret. This issue is fixed in version 8.6.1.
CVE-2026-74039 1 Wazuh 1 Wazuh-manager 2026-08-21 6.5 Medium
Wazuh 4.0.0 before 4.14.7 and 5.0.0-beta2 contain a denial of service vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers with allow_run_as enabled to exhaust CPU resources by submitting arbitrarily deeply nested JSON structures to the POST /security/user/authenticate/run_as endpoint. Attackers can repeatedly submit malformed auth_context bodies with unlimited nesting depth to cause the API framework to consume excessive CPU, denying service to all other API consumers.
CVE-2026-50142 1 Struktur 1 Libheif 2026-08-21 7.5 High
libheif is a HEIF and AVIF file format decoder and encoder. From 1.19.0 until 1.23.0, a crafted HEIF sequence accepted by heif_context_read_from_memory() with the msf1 sequence brand can cause unbounded heap allocation. In libheif/sequences/seq_boxes.cc, Box_stsz::parse() applies max_sequence_frames only to variable-size samples, so fixed-size mode accepts an attacker-controlled sample_count without a bound. In libheif/sequences/track.cc, Track::load() also adds current_sample_idx and samples_per_chunk in 32-bit arithmetic, allowing the consistency check to be bypassed by wraparound. The resulting values reach the Chunk::Chunk() allocation path, which can consume gigabytes of memory and crash or stall the process through memory exhaustion. This issue is fixed in version 1.23.0.
CVE-2026-74836 1 Mtrudel 1 Bandit 2026-08-21 N/A
Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling vulnerability in mtrudel bandit allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to pin an unbounded number of HTTP/2 stream processes indefinitely via connection-level flow control. When a stream's response body outruns the HTTP/2 connection-level send window (default 65,535 bytes, shared across all streams on the connection), Bandit.HTTP2.Connection queues the remaining bytes and a reply closure in pending_sends and the stream process blocks forever inside a synchronous call to the connection process. Nothing bounds that wait and nothing purges the queue: a client RST_STREAM for the blocked stream is delivered to its mailbox but never read while it is stuck inside the call, so cancelling frees nothing, and periodic PING frames keep the transport-level read timeout from ever firing. The equivalent block on the stream-level send window is already bounded at 15 seconds; the connection-level path had no such bound. Each stalled stream pins its process, Plug state, and any resource the Plug holds across the blocked write, such as a pooled upstream connection in a reverse-proxy Plug. The attacker chooses any endpoint whose response exceeds the connection window (common for most non-trivial payloads), grants a generous stream-level window so only the connection window limits it, and keeps the connection alive with periodic PINGs; the primitive is repeatable across streams and connections at the cost of one idle socket each. This issue affects bandit: from 0.3.4 before 1.12.5.
CVE-2026-74542 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix folio_queue ENOMEM in writeback by adding a mempool Fix the handling of folio_queue allocation failure in writeback by adding a mempool and passing in gfp_t flags to the rolling buffer functions that allocate memory, using the mempool if gfp != GFP_KERNEL. This is then extended upwards and the gfp to be used for a request is stored in the netfs_io_request struct and is then used for both requests and subrequests, eliminating the sleeping loops there. The failure caused: folio != NULL WARNING: fs/netfs/write_issue.c:603 at netfs_writepages+0x883/0xa10 fs/netfs/write_issue.c:603, CPU#3: syz.0.17/5919
CVE-2026-55241 1 Bluewave-labs 1 Checkmate 2026-08-21 7.5 High
Checkmate is an open-source, self-hosted tool designed to track and monitor server hardware, uptime, response times, and incidents in real-time with beautiful visualizations. Prior to 3.9.1, the public POST /api/v1/auth/register route in server/src/api/routes/authRoutes.ts passes multipart profileImage uploads through in-memory Multer parsing before registration validation, without file-size, file-count, or MIME-type limits in server/src/api/middleware/upload.ts. An unauthenticated attacker can submit concurrent oversized files that are buffered before invalid registration or invite-token checks reject the request, exhausting memory and crashing or destabilizing the backend. This issue is fixed in version 3.9.1.
CVE-2026-75956 1 Cmsjunkie.com 1 J-businessdirectory Extension For Joomla 2026-08-21 N/A
Joomla Extension - cmsjunkie.com - DOS vector in pagination parameter handling in J-BusinessDirectory < 6.2.3 - Pagination values were not strictly typed. Array/non-numeric values (for example limitstart[]) could trigger PHP type errors in arithmetic, and limit was not validated before use in list queries.
CVE-2026-61712 1 Moby 1 Buildkit 2026-08-21 N/A
BuildKit is a toolkit for converting source code to build artifacts in an efficient, expressive and repeatable manner. Prior to 0.31.1, BuildKit read attacker-controlled /etc/passwd and /etc/group files without an upper bound while resolving a username to a user identifier or group identifier in executor/oci/user.go and solver/llbsolver/ops/user_linux.go. A malicious base image or build could provide oversized files that exhausted memory during user resolution and caused out-of-memory termination of the buildkitd process. This issue is fixed in version 0.31.1.
CVE-2026-59323 1 Vmware 1 Spring 2026-08-21 5.3 Medium
An application using Micrometer Tracing with W3C baggage propagation in the Brave bridge is vulnerable to denial of service (DoS) due to unbounded object allocation when extracting incoming baggage headers. Specifically, an application is vulnerable when all the following are true: * The application uses a vulnerable version of io.micrometer:micrometer-tracing-bridge-brave. * W3C propagation is active (either configured manually or active by default, such as in Spring Boot 3.x+). * Baggage propagation is enabled (which is the default in Spring Boot 3.x+) and a baggage manager (such as BraveBaggageManager) is configured to handle baggage fields. * The application processes requests or messages from untrusted sources with baggage headers which it normally should not, see:  https://www.w3.org/TR/trace-context/#security-considerations . * Network components including the (HTTP) server that receives the request do not limit the header size or the limit is high enough to cause issues. The last two points are very important: normally this should not affect applications because they should not receive untrusted and unlimited input for baggage. * The application processes requests or messages from untrusted sources with baggage headers. When extracting baggage from the W3C baggage header, incoming entries are parsed without enforcing limits on the number of entries or header size as mandated by the W3C Baggage specification. An attacker can send requests or messages with artificially inflated baggage headers containing many key-value pairs, causing unconditional BaggageField allocations per entry. This leads to garbage collection pressure, high CPU usage, and potential application crash via OutOfMemoryError.
CVE-2026-17170 1 Ibm 2 Aix, Powervm Vios 2026-08-21 7.5 High
IBM AIX 7.2, and 7.3 and IBM PowerVM VIOS 4.1 could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service due to improper validation of an allocation size.
CVE-2026-17163 1 Ibm 2 Aix, Powervm Vios 2026-08-21 7.5 High
IBM AIX 7.2, and 7.3 and IBM PowerVM VIOS 4.1 could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service due to improper validation of an array size field.
CVE-2026-59279 1 Spring 1 Spring Ai 2026-08-21 7.5 High
The MCP Streamable HTTP server transport (WebFlux and WebMvc variants) does not place any limit on the number of sessions it retains, and by default does not require clients to be authenticated. As a result, a remote attacker can cause the server to accumulate an unbounded number of sessions over time, gradually exhausting available memory and ultimately causing a Denial of Service that affects all legitimate clients. Affected versions: Spring AI: 2.0.0
CVE-2026-48779 2 Websockets, Ws Project 2 Ws, Ws 2026-08-21 7.5 High
ws is an open source WebSocket client and server for Node.js. All versions from 1.1.0 up to (but not including) 5.2.5, from 6.0.0 up to 6.2.4, from 7.0.0 up to 7.5.11, and from 8.0.0 up to 8.21.0 are affected by a memory exhaustion DoS vulnerability. A peer can send a high volume of exceptionally small fragments and data chunks, with modest network traffic, to force the remote peer into allocating and holding structural wrappers that consume far more memory than the default documented message-size limit, leading to process termination due to OOM. This issue has been fixed in versions 5.2.5, 6.2.4, 7.5.11, and 8.21.0.
CVE-2026-44488 1 Axios 1 Axios 2026-08-21 7.5 High
Axios is a promise based HTTP client for the browser and Node.js. Axios versions 1.7.0 through 1.15.x did not enforce configured request and response size limits when requests were sent with the fetch adapter. Applications that selected adapter: 'fetch', or ran in environments where axios resolved to the fetch adapter, could receive or send bodies larger than maxContentLength or maxBodyLength despite those limits being explicitly configured. This can cause resource exhaustion in server-side usage when a malicious or compromised server returns an oversized response, when an attacker can supply a large data: URL, or when an application forwards attacker-controlled request bodies through axios while relying on maxBodyLength as a boundary. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.32.0 and 1.16.0.
CVE-2026-43329 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-21 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: flowtable: strictly check for maximum number of actions The maximum number of flowtable hardware offload actions in IPv6 is: * ethernet mangling (4 payload actions, 2 for each ethernet address) * SNAT (4 payload actions) * DNAT (4 payload actions) * Double VLAN (4 vlan actions, 2 for popping vlan, and 2 for pushing) for QinQ. * Redirect (1 action) Which makes 17, while the maximum is 16. But act_ct supports for tunnels actions too. Note that payload action operates at 32-bit word level, so mangling an IPv6 address takes 4 payload actions. Update flow_action_entry_next() calls to check for the maximum number of supported actions. While at it, rise the maximum number of actions per flow from 16 to 24 so this works fine with IPv6 setups.
