| InCopy versions 21.3, 20.5.3 and earlier are affected by a Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. |
| InDesign Desktop versions 21.3, 20.5.3 and earlier are affected by an out-of-bounds read vulnerability that could lead to disclosure of sensitive memory. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to disclose sensitive information. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
inet: RAW sockets using IPPROTO_RAW MUST drop incoming ICMP
Yizhou Zhao reported that simply having one RAW socket on protocol
IPPROTO_RAW (255) was dangerous.
socket(AF_INET, SOCK_RAW, 255);
A malicious incoming ICMP packet can set the protocol field to 255
and match this socket, leading to FNHE cache changes.
inner = IP(src="192.168.2.1", dst="8.8.8.8", proto=255)/Raw("TEST")
pkt = IP(src="192.168.1.1", dst="192.168.2.1")/ICMP(type=3, code=4, nexthopmtu=576)/inner
"man 7 raw" states:
A protocol of IPPROTO_RAW implies enabled IP_HDRINCL and is able
to send any IP protocol that is specified in the passed header.
Receiving of all IP protocols via IPPROTO_RAW is not possible
using raw sockets.
Make sure we drop these malicious packets. |

| Issue summary: Parsing CMS AuthEnvelopedData or EnvelopedData message with
maliciously crafted AEAD parameters can trigger a stack buffer overflow.
Impact summary: A stack buffer overflow may lead to a crash, causing Denial
of Service, or potentially remote code execution.
When parsing CMS (Auth)EnvelopedData structures that use AEAD ciphers such as
AES-GCM, the IV (Initialization Vector) encoded in the ASN.1 parameters is
copied into a fixed-size stack buffer without verifying that its length fits
the destination. An attacker can supply a crafted CMS message with an
oversized IV, causing a stack-based out-of-bounds write before any
authentication or tag verification occurs.
Applications and services that parse untrusted CMS or PKCS#7 content using
AEAD ciphers (e.g., S/MIME (Auth)EnvelopedData with AES-GCM) are vulnerable.
Because the overflow occurs prior to authentication, no valid key material
is required to trigger it. While exploitability to remote code execution
depends on platform and toolchain mitigations, the stack-based write
primitive represents a severe risk.
The FIPS modules in 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, 3.3 and 3.0 are not affected by this
issue, as the CMS implementation is outside the OpenSSL FIPS module
boundary.
OpenSSL 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, 3.3 and 3.0 are vulnerable to this issue.
OpenSSL 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 are not affected by this issue. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
clk: microchip: mpfs-ccc: fix out of bounds access during output registration
UBSAN reported an out of bounds access during registration of the last
two outputs. This out of bounds access occurs because space is only
allocated in the hws array for two PLLs and the four output dividers
that each has, but the defined IDs contain two DLLS and their two
outputs each, which are not supported by the driver. The ID order is
PLLs -> DLLs -> PLL outputs -> DLL outputs. Decrement the PLL output IDs
by two while adding them to the array to avoid the problem. |
| Net::CIDR::Set versions through 0.20 for Perl did not validate network masks.
The mask portion of a network mask could contain Unicode digits such as the Arabic-Indic One (U+0661), or non-digits, which were ignored. This could allow network masks to accept larger networks.
Leading zeros were also accepted, but treated as decimal instead of octal. This could lead to confusion about what networks are acceptable. |
| Insufficient validation of untrusted input in Enterprise Reporting in Google Chrome prior to 149.0.7827.53 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium) |
| Linaro/OP-TEE OP-TEE 3.3.0 and earlier is affected by: Buffer Overflow. The impact is: Memory corruption and disclosure of memory content. The component is: optee_os. The fixed version is: 3.4.0 and later. |
| In MbedTLS 3.3.0 before 3.6.4, mbedtls_lms_import_public_key does not check that the input buffer is at least 4 bytes before reading a 32-bit field, allowing a possible out-of-bounds read on truncated input. Specifically, an out-of-bounds read in mbedtls_lms_import_public_key allows context-dependent attackers to trigger a crash or limited adjacent-memory disclosure by supplying a truncated LMS (Leighton-Micali Signature) public-key buffer under four bytes. An LMS public key starts with a 4-byte type indicator. The function mbedtls_lms_import_public_key reads this type indicator before validating the size of its input. |
| NGINX JavaScript has a vulnerability when the js_fetch_proxy directive is configured with at least one client-controlled NGINX variable (for example, $http_*, $arg_*, $cookie_*) and a location invoking the ngx.fetch() operation from NGINX JavaScript. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted HTTP requests. This may cause a heap buffer overflow in the NGINX worker process leading to a restart. Additionally, attackers can execute code on systems with Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) disabled or when the attacker can bypass ASLR.
Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. |
