CVSS v3.1 |
| A flaw was found in GLib. A buffer over-read can occur in g_io_channel_read_line_backend() in the giochannel.c file when a custom line terminator with a length greater than one is set, causing memcmp to read past the GString buffer. This vulnerability can cause a minor information disclosure of 7 bytes or a denial of service when the buffer over-read crosses a page boundary. |
| A flaw was found in GLib. A buffer over-read can occur in the g_regex_replace function when used with the `G_REGEX_RAW` compile flag and case-change replacement escapes because the string_append function processes matched substrings using UTF-8 functions that assume valid UTF-8 input, even when the string is treated as raw bytes. This vulnerability can cause a minor information disclosure of 1-5 bytes and a denial of service when the buffer over-read crosses a page boundary. |
| A flaw was found in GLib. An out-of-bounds read of only 2 bytes can occur in the g_date_time_get_ymd function in the glib/gdatetime.c file when an invalid GDateTime object produced by the g_date_time_add_full function is processed. This flaw can corrupt the date output and potentially cause logic errors that may lead to a denial of service. |
| A flaw was found in GLib. An off-by-one error can occur in the gvs_tuple_is_normal function in the glib/gvariant-serialiser.c file when doing an alignment padding check because the bounds check uses > instead of >=, causing an out-of-bounds read of only 1 byte. This issue can cause a minor information disclosure of 1 byte and a denial of service when the out-of-bounds read crosses a page boundary. |
| A heap-buffer-overflow read vulnerability was found in libaom, the reference AV1 codec implementation. A missing bounds check in the SVC (Scalable Video Coding) layer ID control function allows setting a spatial_layer_id exceeding the configured number of layers. This causes an out-of-bounds heap read of approximately 40,728 bytes when computing a layer context array index. An attacker who can influence SVC encoder parameters in a network-facing service could exploit this for information disclosure (heap content leak) or denial of service (segmentation fault from hitting unmapped memory). |
| A heap buffer overflow vulnerability was found in libaom, the reference AV1 codec implementation. A flaw in the AV1 encoder's Look-Ahead Processing (LAP) mode causes the first-pass stats ring buffer wrap-around guard to be bypassed when g_lag_in_frames is set to 1 or higher. This results in a 232-byte out-of-bounds write on every encoded frame after the second, corrupting adjacent heap objects. An attacker who can influence encoder configuration in a transcoding service or WebRTC session could exploit this to cause a denial of service (process crash) or potentially achieve code execution. |
| A flaw has been found in OpenSC up to 0.27.1. The impacted element is the function setcos_construct_fci_44 of the file src/libopensc/card-setcos.c. Executing a manipulation of the argument type_attr can lead to stack-based buffer overflow. The attack can be launched remotely. This patch is called ad730304052937c32b4eb489a06835ac6123632c. It is best practice to apply a patch to resolve this issue. |
| ImageMagick before 7.1.2-32 and 6.9.13-57 contains a policy bypass vulnerability in LoadPolicyCache that silently skips security policy rules when policy.xml uses an alternate DOCTYPE. A valid DOCTYPE not ending in ']>' makes the parser consume the rest of the file, so no policy rules are applied and restricted operations become allowed. |
| A malicious frontend can submit an LLB definition that causes buildkitd
to panic and terminate, interrupting all builds running on that daemon. |
| Incorrect boundary conditions in the Safe Browsing component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156, Firefox ESR 153.3, Thunderbird 156, and Thunderbird 153.3. |
| Incorrect boundary conditions in the Networking component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156, Firefox ESR 153.3, Thunderbird 156, and Thunderbird 153.3. |
| Mitigation bypass in the Enterprise Policies component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156, Firefox ESR 153.3, Thunderbird 156, and Thunderbird 153.3. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ASoC: codecs: fs210x: fix possible buffer overflow
In fs210x_effect_scene_info(), a string was copied like this:
strscpy(DST, SRC, strlen(SRC) + 1);
A buffer overflow would happen if strlen(SRC) >= sizeof(DST).
Actually, strscpy() must be used this way:
strscpy(DST, SRC, sizeof(DST));
strscpy(DST, SRC); // defaults to sizeof(DST) |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vfio/pci: Check BAR resources before exporting a DMABUF
A DMABUF exports access to BAR resources and, although they are
requested at startup time, we need to ensure they really were reserved
before exporting. Otherwise, it's possible to access unreserved
resources through the export.
Add a check to the DMABUF-creation path. |
| An out-of-bounds read vulnerability in FileMaker Server for Linux allowed an attacker uploading a specially crafted image file to a container field to disclose process memory during thumbnail generation in FileMaker WebDirect. This vulnerability is addressed in FileMaker Server version 26.0.3. |
| Microsoft Office Outlook Remote Code Execution Vulnerability |
| Privilege escalation due to incorrect boundary conditions in the Audio/Video component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156, Firefox ESR 153.3, Thunderbird 156, and Thunderbird 153.3. |
| Stack-based buffer overflow in mod_vhost_alias in Apache Software Foundation Apache HTTP Server through 2.4.68 on all platforms allows a remote client to cause a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary code via an HTTP request with a Host header exceeding 8192 bytes when VirtualDocumentRoot uses a hostname format specifier and LimitRequestFieldSize is raised above the default.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.69, which fixes this issue. |
| Improper validation of specified quantity in input, Allocation of resources without limits or throttling vulnerability in Apache Thrift nodejs bindings.
This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.25.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.25.0, which fixes the issue. |
| A vulnerability was detected in vgmstream up to r2117. Affected by this vulnerability is the function ps_find_padding of the file src/coding/psx_decoder.c of the component VAG File Handler. Performing a manipulation results in out-of-bounds read. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The patch is named 4b8316652a30d40f99ad43310bed273fd1f8a7a3. It is suggested to install a patch to address this issue. |
