CVSS v3.1 |
Sustainable Irrigation Platform (SIP) through version 5.2.16 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows attackers with access to the restore functionality to write files to arbitrary locations by uploading crafted JSON backup files with unvalidated keys used to construct file paths. Attackers can exploit the lack of key validation in the JSON restore process, combined with the absence of a required passphrase in the default configuration or the default passphrase 'opendoor', to write arbitrary JSON files outside the intended data directory.
Animate is affected by an Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to access sensitive files or directories outside the intended restrictions. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. Scope is changed.
The decompress package for Node.js extracts archives. Prior to 10.2.1 and 11.1.3, archive extraction can create files and links outside the target directory. When extracting an archive to a directory, a crafted archive can read or write files outside that directory because hardlink and symlink entries are created without checking where targets point, path containment used a string prefix comparison, and file modes failed to remove setuid, setgid, or sticky bits. This issue is fixed in @xhmikosr/decompress versions 10.2.1 and 11.1.3.
Cornac before 2.6.0 contains a path traversal (Tar Slip) vulnerability that allows attackers to write arbitrary files outside the intended cache directory by supplying a crafted TAR archive containing ../ sequences, absolute paths, or symlink/hardlink entries to the _extract_archive() function in cornac/utils/download.py. Attackers can trigger this vulnerability through the built-in dataset loaders, which automatically download and extract archives, causing archive.extractall() to write files to arbitrary locations on the filesystem accessible to the running process.
Office-Word-MCP-Server through 1.1.11 contains a path traversal vulnerability in its document tools that allows attackers who can influence the filename argument to read arbitrary .docx files or create and overwrite .docx files outside the intended working directory. Attackers can supply absolute paths or ../ traversal sequences directly to document open and save operations, bypassing the check_file_writeable and ensure_docx_extension helpers which perform no base-directory confinement or realpath validation.
Void through 1.3.4 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the AI agent file-reading tools that allows network-adjacent attackers to read arbitrary host files outside the open workspace by injecting instructions into content the agent processes. Attackers can supply absolute paths or file:// URIs through the read_file, ls_dir, get_dir_tree, and search_* tools, which lack workspace confinement and bypass the approval gate, enabling silent exfiltration of sensitive files such as SSH private keys or cloud credentials via subsequent tool calls.
SoftVC VITS Singing Voice Conversion through commit 730930d contains a path traversal vulnerability in the full-song inference server that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to read and exfiltrate arbitrary files by supplying attacker-controlled filesystem paths through the audio_path field of an unauthenticated POST request to the /wav2wav route. Attackers can pass arbitrary server-side paths verbatim to librosa.load, torchaudio.load, and soundfile.write sinks, causing the server to decode and return file contents via the HTTP response body while also writing attacker-specified .wav files to arbitrary locations on the filesystem.
The WP Encryption – One Click Free SSL Certificate & SSL / HTTPS Redirect, Security & SSL Scan plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 7.8.6.6 via the 'imploded' parameter parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. Although file write content is passed through esc_html(), which encodes angle brackets and prevents direct PHP execution, plaintext configuration files such as .htaccess are fully writable and exploitable for denial-of-service or redirect attacks. This is only exploitable when the premium version of the software is enabled and active.
Diffusers through 0.39.0, fixed in commit cee298c, contains a path traversal vulnerability in the _get_checkpoint_shard_files function that allows attackers to read arbitrary files by supplying malicious weight_map values in model index JSON. Attackers can use ../ sequences or absolute paths in weight_map entries to escape the model directory and read safetensors files outside the intended location during model loading.
DbGate is cross-platform database manager. In versions 7.1.8 and prior, the `unzipDirectory()` function in `packages/api/src/shell/unzipDirectory.js` (line 27) does not validate that extracted file paths stay within the output directory. A malicious ZIP with `../` entries writes files anywhere on the filesystem. In the default Docker deployment, DbGate runs as root and the `none` auth provider issues JWT tokens without credentials via `POST /auth/login`, so this is exploitable by any network-adjacent attacker. Version 7.1.9 fixes the issue.
Traefik versions <= v2.11.51, >= v3.6.0 <= v3.6.22, and >= v3.7.0 <= v3.7.6 contain an authentication bypass via path traversal in the ReplacePathRegex middleware. When ReplacePathRegex is configured with a regex that captures user-controlled path segments without a mandatory path separator (e.g. regex "^/api(.*)", replacement "/$1"), the middleware forwards the replaced path to the backend without validating that it matches its normalized form. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a crafted request (e.g. GET /api../admin) that produces an un-normalized path such as /../admin, which a backend that normalizes paths resolves to a protected route, bypassing authentication middleware. Fixed in v2.11.52, v3.6.23, and v3.7.7.
| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Erlang OTP ssh (ssh_sftpd module) allows an authenticated SFTP user to modify file attributes outside the configured chroot directory.
The SFTP daemon (ssh_sftpd) stores the raw, user-supplied path in file handles instead of the chroot-resolved path. When SSH_FXP_FSETSTAT is issued on such a handle, file attributes (permissions, ownership, timestamps) are modified on the real filesystem path, bypassing the root directory boundary entirely.
Any authenticated SFTP user on a server configured with the root option can modify file attributes of files outside the intended chroot boundary. The prerequisite is that a target file must exist on the real filesystem at the same relative path. Note that this vulnerability only allows modification of file attributes; file contents cannot be read or altered through this attack vector.
If the SSH daemon runs as root, this enables direct privilege escalation: an attacker can set the setuid bit on any binary, change ownership of sensitive files, or make system configuration world-writable.
This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/ssh/src/ssh_sftpd.erl and program routines ssh_sftpd:do_open/4 and ssh_sftpd:handle_op/4.
This issue affects OTP from OTP 17.0 before OTP 28.4.3, OTP 27.3.4.11 and OTP 26.2.5.20, corresponding to ssh from 3.0.1 before 5.5.3, 5.2.11.7 and 5.1.4.15. |
A NULL pointer dereference in the L2 GOOSE and R-GOOSE shared parser, which may allow a network-adjacent attacker to crash a subscribing application by sending a crafted GOOSE frame containing a malformed TLV value.
A vulnerability was detected in Ne-Lexa php-zip up to 4.0.2. This affects the function ZipFile::extractTo of the file src/ZipFile.php of the component ZIP Handler. Performing a manipulation of the argument entryName results in path traversal. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
Vanna through 2.0.2 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the FileSystemConversationStore persistence integration that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to write attacker-controlled JSON files to arbitrary filesystem locations and read conversation metadata from outside the intended store base directory. Attackers can supply path traversal sequences in the conversation_id parameter submitted to the unauthenticated chat API endpoints to escape the base directory during both write and read operations, enabling arbitrary file write with attacker-controlled content and unauthorized file read on the server filesystem.
Whistle is an HTTP, HTTP2, HTTPS, and WebSocket debugging proxy. Prior to 2.10.3, lib/service/service.js handles GET /cgi-bin/temp/get by reading req.query.filename, joining it to TEMP_FILES_PATH only when it matches the temporary file pattern, and otherwise passing the user-supplied filename directly to getFile, allowing a remote attacker to read arbitrary files such as /etc/passwd. This issue is reported as fixed in version 2.10.3.
dataCycle is a data management system for centrally storing, managing, searching, finding, and distributing data. In dataCycle-CORE, the module handling core processing and framework rules, before and including version 25.07.3, the documentation and static markdown renderer accepts attacker-controlled path segments and only runs them through the Rails HTML sanitizer, which does not remove directory traversal sequences. An unauthenticated attacker can traverse out of the intended `docs` or `static` directories and render arbitrary `.md` files from the application root or engine root. This is patched in version 26.06.08.
Joomla Extension - themexpert.com - Unauthenticated path traversal / file read in Quix Page Builder < 6.2.1 - The Joomla extension Quix Page Builder Pro is vulnerable to a unauthenticated path traversal via form elements. Unauthenticated users frontend users are allowed traversal paths and read arbitrary files. Requires a published page with a Form element.
Shamefile is a linter for undocumented linter warnings. Prior to version 0.1.7, a path traversal vulnerability in `shame next` allows an attacker-controlled `shamefile.yaml` to disclose contents of files outside the repository, one line at a time, to the terminal of a user who runs the command. See patch commit for technical details. The issue is fixed in 0.1.7. Upgrade to either 0.1.7 or later versions to incorporate the patch. As a workaround, do not run `shame next` against untrusted `shamefile.yaml`. Use `shame me --dry-run` for CI validation.
Rattler is a library that provides common functionality used within the conda ecosystem. Prior to version 0.43.2, `EntryPoint::FromStr` in `rattler_conda_types` performs only `.trim()` on the `command` field before the linker joins it onto the install prefix and writes an executable Python script. A malicious `noarch:python` package can ship an `info/link.json` with an entry-point name containing `..`, `/`, `\`, or an absolute path; the resulting file is written outside the prefix (or clobbers an existing in-prefix entry-point such as `bin/pip`) with mode `0o775` on Unix and a copied launcher `.exe` on Windows. This affects the default install path of `pixi install`, `mamba install` via py-rattler, `rattler-build`, and any other consumer of the `rattler` install crate; no flag or post-link-script opt-in is involved. Version 0.43.2 contains a fix for the issue.
