CVE-2026-46307 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-14 8.3 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath5k: do not access array OOB Vincent reports: > The ath5k driver seems to do an array-index-out-of-bounds access as > shown by the UBSAN kernel message: > UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in drivers/net/wireless/ath/ath5k/base.c:1741:20 > index 4 is out of range for type 'ieee80211_tx_rate [4]' > ... > Call Trace: > <TASK> > dump_stack_lvl+0x5d/0x80 > ubsan_epilogue+0x5/0x2b > __ubsan_handle_out_of_bounds.cold+0x46/0x4b > ath5k_tasklet_tx+0x4e0/0x560 [ath5k] > tasklet_action_common+0xb5/0x1c0 It is real. 'ts->ts_final_idx' can be 3 on 5212, so: info->status.rates[ts->ts_final_idx + 1].idx = -1; with the array defined as: struct ieee80211_tx_rate rates[IEEE80211_TX_MAX_RATES]; while the size is: #define IEEE80211_TX_MAX_RATES 4 is indeed bogus. Set this 'idx = -1' sentinel only if the array index is less than the array size. As mac80211 will not look at rates beyond the size (IEEE80211_TX_MAX_RATES). Note: The effect of the OOB write is negligible. It just overwrites the next member of info->status, i.e. ack_signal.
CVE-2026-46306 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-14 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: flow_dissector: do not dissect PPPoE PFC frames RFC 2516 Section 7 states that Protocol Field Compression (PFC) is NOT RECOMMENDED for PPPoE. In practice, pppd does not support negotiating PFC for PPPoE sessions, and the flow dissector driver has assumed an uncompressed frame until the blamed commit. During the review process of that commit [1], support for PFC is suggested. However, having a compressed (1-byte) protocol field means the subsequent PPP payload is shifted by one byte, causing 4-byte misalignment for the network header and an unaligned access exception on some architectures. The exception can be reproduced by sending a PPPoE PFC frame to an ethernet interface of a MIPS board, with RPS enabled, even if no PPPoE session is active on that interface: $ 0 : 00000000 80c40000 00000000 85144817 $ 4 : 00000008 00000100 80a75758 81dc9bb8 $ 8 : 00000010 8087ae2c 0000003d 00000000 $12 : 000000e0 00000039 00000000 00000000 $16 : 85043240 80a75758 81dc9bb8 00006488 $20 : 0000002f 00000007 85144810 80a70000 $24 : 81d1bda0 00000000 $28 : 81dc8000 81dc9aa8 00000000 805ead08 Hi : 00009d51 Lo : 2163358a epc : 805e91f0 __skb_flow_dissect+0x1b0/0x1b50 ra : 805ead08 __skb_get_hash_net+0x74/0x12c Status: 11000403 KERNEL EXL IE Cause : 40800010 (ExcCode 04) BadVA : 85144817 PrId : 0001992f (MIPS 1004Kc) Call Trace: [<805e91f0>] __skb_flow_dissect+0x1b0/0x1b50 [<805ead08>] __skb_get_hash_net+0x74/0x12c [<805ef330>] get_rps_cpu+0x1b8/0x3fc [<805fca70>] netif_receive_skb_list_internal+0x324/0x364 [<805fd120>] napi_complete_done+0x68/0x2a4 [<8058de5c>] mtk_napi_rx+0x228/0xfec [<805fd398>] __napi_poll+0x3c/0x1c4 [<805fd754>] napi_threaded_poll_loop+0x234/0x29c [<805fd848>] napi_threaded_poll+0x8c/0xb0 [<80053544>] kthread+0x104/0x12c [<80002bd8>] ret_from_kernel_thread+0x14/0x1c Code: 02d51821 1060045b 00000000 <8c640000> 3084000f 2c820005 144001a2 00042080 8e220000 To reduce the attack surface and maintain performance, do not process PPPoE PFC frames. CVE-2026-46275 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-14 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_uart: fix UAFs and race conditions in close and init paths Vulnerabilities leading to Use-After-Free (UAF) and Null Pointer Dereference (NPD) conditions were observed in the lifecycle management of hci_uart. The primary issue arises because the workqueues (init_ready and write_work) are only flushed/cancelled if the HCI_UART_PROTO_READY flag is set during TTY close. If a hangup occurs before setup completes, hci_uart_tty_close() skips the teardown of these workqueues and proceeds to free the `hu` struct. When the scheduled work executes later, it blindly dereferences the freed `hu` struct. Furthermore, several data races and UAFs were identified in the teardown sequence: 1. Calling hci_uart_flush() from hci_uart_close() without effectively disabling write_work causes a race condition where both can concurrently double-free hu->tx_skb. This happens because protocol timers can concurrently invoke hci_uart_tx_wakeup() and requeue write_work. 2. Calling hci_free_dev(hdev) before hu->proto->close(hu) causes a UAF when vendor specific protocol close callbacks dereference hu->hdev. 3. In the initialization error paths, failing to take the proto_lock write lock before clearing PROTO_READY leads to races with active readers. Additionally, hci_uart_tty_receive() accesses hu->hdev outside the read lock, leading to UAFs if the initialization error path frees hdev concurrently. Fix these synchronization and lifecycle issues by: 1. Re-ordering hci_uart_tty_close() to clear HCI_UART_PROTO_READY first, followed immediately by a cancel_work_sync(&hu->write_work). Clearing the flag locks out concurrent protocol timers from successfully invoking hci_uart_tx_wakeup(), effectively rendering the cancellation permanent and preventing the tx_skb double-free. 2. Note: Clearing PROTO_READY early causes hci_uart_close() to skip hu->proto->flush(). This is perfectly safe in the tty_close path because hu->proto->close() executes shortly after, which intrinsically purges all protocol SKB queues and tears down the state. 3. Relocating hu->proto->close(hu) strictly prior to hci_free_dev(hdev) across all close and error paths to prevent vendor-level UAFs. 4. Moving the hdev->stat.byte_rx increment in hci_uart_tty_receive() inside the proto_lock read-side critical section to safely synchronize with device unregistration. 5. Adding cancel_work_sync(&hu->write_work) to hci_uart_close() to safely flush the workqueue before hci_uart_flush() is invoked via the HCI core. 6. Utilizing cancel_work_sync() instead of disable_work_sync() across all paths to prevent permanently breaking user-space retry capabilities.

CVE-2026-23005 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/fpu: Clear XSTATE_BV[i] in guest XSAVE state whenever XFD[i]=1 When loading guest XSAVE state via KVM_SET_XSAVE, and when updating XFD in response to a guest WRMSR, clear XFD-disabled features in the saved (or to be restored) XSTATE_BV to ensure KVM doesn't attempt to load state for features that are disabled via the guest's XFD. Because the kernel executes XRSTOR with the guest's XFD, saving XSTATE_BV[i]=1 with XFD[i]=1 will cause XRSTOR to #NM and panic the kernel. Per Intel's SDM, XSAVE saves XSTATE_BV as '0' for components that are disabled via XFD (and non-compacted XSAVE saves the initial configuration of the state component): If XSAVE, XSAVEC, XSAVEOPT, or XSAVES is saving the state component i, the instruction does not generate #NM when XCR0[i] = IA32_XFD[i] = 1; instead, it operates as if XINUSE[i] = 0 (and the state component was in its initial state): it saves bit i of XSTATE_BV field of the XSAVE header as 0; in addition, XSAVE saves the initial configuration of the state component (the other instructions do not save state component i). Alternatively, KVM could always do XRSTOR with XFD=0, e.g. by using a constant XFD based on the set of enabled features when XSAVEing for a struct fpu_guest. However, having XSTATE_BV[i]=1 for XFD-disabled features can only happen in the above interrupt case, or in similar scenarios involving preemption on preemptible kernels, because fpu_swap_kvm_fpstate()'s call to save_fpregs_to_fpstate() saves the outgoing FPU state with the current XFD; and that is (on all but the first WRMSR to XFD) the guest XFD. Therefore, XFD can only go out of sync with XSTATE_BV in the above interrupt case, or in similar scenarios involving preemption on preemptible kernels, and it we can consider it (de facto) part of KVM ABI that KVM_GET_XSAVE returns XSTATE_BV[i]=0 for XFD-disabled features. CVE-2026-23076 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-11 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: ctxfi: Fix potential OOB access in audio mixer handling In the audio mixer handling code of ctxfi driver, the conf field is used as a kind of loop index, and it's referred in the index callbacks (amixer_index() and sum_index()). As spotted recently by fuzzers, the current code causes OOB access at those functions. | UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in /build/reproducible-path/linux-6.17.8/sound/pci/ctxfi/ctamixer.c:347:48 | index 8 is out of range for type 'unsigned char [8]' After the analysis, the cause was found to be the lack of the proper (re-)initialization of conj field. This patch addresses those OOB accesses by adding the proper initializations of the loop indices.
CVE-2026-22976 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: sch_qfq: Fix NULL deref when deactivating inactive aggregate in qfq_reset `qfq_class->leaf_qdisc->q.qlen > 0` does not imply that the class itself is active. Two qfq_class objects may point to the same leaf_qdisc. This happens when: 1. one QFQ qdisc is attached to the dev as the root qdisc, and 2. another QFQ qdisc is temporarily referenced (e.g., via qdisc_get() / qdisc_put()) and is pending to be destroyed, as in function tc_new_tfilter. When packets are enqueued through the root QFQ qdisc, the shared leaf_qdisc->q.qlen increases. At the same time, the second QFQ qdisc triggers qdisc_put and qdisc_destroy: the qdisc enters qfq_reset() with its own q->q.qlen == 0, but its class's leaf qdisc->q.qlen > 0. Therefore, the qfq_reset would wrongly deactivate an inactive aggregate and trigger a null-deref in qfq_deactivate_agg: [ 0.903172] BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000000 [ 0.903571] #PF: supervisor write access in kernel mode [ 0.903860] #PF: error_code(0x0002) - not-present page [ 0.904177] PGD 10299b067 P4D 10299b067 PUD 10299c067 PMD 0 [ 0.904502] Oops: Oops: 0002 [#1] SMP NOPTI [ 0.904737] CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 135 Comm: exploit Not tainted 6.19.0-rc3+ #2 NONE [ 0.905157] Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996), BIOS rel-1.17.0-0-gb52ca86e094d-prebuilt.qemu.org 04/01/2014 [ 0.905754] RIP: 0010:qfq_deactivate_agg (include/linux/list.h:992 (discriminator 2) include/linux/list.h:1006 (discriminator 2) net/sched/sch_qfq.c:1367 (discriminator 2) net/sched/sch_qfq.c:1393 (discriminator 2)) [ 0.906046] Code: 0f 84 4d 01 00 00 48 89 70 18 8b 4b 10 48 c7 c2 ff ff ff ff 48 8b 78 08 48 d3 e2 48 21 f2 48 2b 13 48 8b 30 48 d3 ea 8b 4b 18 0 Code starting with the faulting instruction =========================================== 0: 0f 84 4d 01 00 00 je 0x153 6: 48 89 70 18 mov %rsi,0x18(%rax) a: 8b 4b 10 mov 0x10(%rbx),%ecx d: 48 c7 c2 ff ff ff ff mov $0xffffffffffffffff,%rdx 14: 48 8b 78 08 mov 0x8(%rax),%rdi 18: 48 d3 e2 shl %cl,%rdx 1b: 48 21 f2 and %rsi,%rdx 1e: 48 2b 13 sub (%rbx),%rdx 21: 48 8b 30 mov (%rax),%rsi 24: 48 d3 ea shr %cl,%rdx 27: 8b 4b 18 mov 0x18(%rbx),%ecx ... CVE-2026-23086 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock/virtio: cap TX credit to local buffer size The virtio transports derives its TX credit directly from peer_buf_alloc, which is set from the remote endpoint's SO_VM_SOCKETS_BUFFER_SIZE value. On the host side this means that the amount of data we are willing to queue for a connection is scaled by a guest-chosen buffer size, rather than the host's own vsock configuration. A malicious guest can advertise a large buffer and read slowly, causing the host to allocate a correspondingly large amount of sk_buff memory. The same thing would happen in the guest with a malicious host, since virtio transports share the same code base. Introduce a small helper, virtio_transport_tx_buf_size(), that returns min(peer_buf_alloc, buf_alloc), and use it wherever we consume peer_buf_alloc. This ensures the effective TX window is bounded by both the peer's advertised buffer and our own buf_alloc (already clamped to buffer_max_size via SO_VM_SOCKETS_BUFFER_MAX_SIZE), so a remote peer cannot force the other to queue more data than allowed by its own vsock settings. On an unpatched Ubuntu 22.04 host (~64 GiB RAM), running a PoC with 32 guest vsock connections advertising 2 GiB each and reading slowly drove Slab/SUnreclaim from ~0.5 GiB to ~57 GiB; the system only recovered after killing the QEMU process. That said, if QEMU memory is limited with cgroups, the maximum memory used will be limited. With this patch applied: Before: MemFree: ~61.6 GiB Slab: ~142 MiB SUnreclaim: ~117 MiB After 32 high-credit connections: MemFree: ~61.5 GiB Slab: ~178 MiB SUnreclaim: ~152 MiB Only ~35 MiB increase in Slab/SUnreclaim, no host OOM, and the guest remains responsive. Compatibility with non-virtio transports: - VMCI uses the AF_VSOCK buffer knobs to size its queue pairs per socket based on the local vsk->buffer_* values; the remote side cannot enlarge those queues beyond what the local endpoint configured. - Hyper-V's vsock transport uses fixed-size VMBus ring buffers and an MTU bound; there is no peer-controlled credit field comparable to peer_buf_alloc, and the remote endpoint cannot drive in-flight kernel memory above those ring sizes. - The loopback path reuses virtio_transport_common.c, so it naturally follows the same semantics as the virtio transport. This change is limited to virtio_transport_common.c and thus affects virtio-vsock, vhost-vsock, and loopback, bringing them in line with the "remote window intersected with local policy" behaviour that VMCI and Hyper-V already effectively have. CVE-2026-23108 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: usb_8dev: usb_8dev_read_bulk_callback(): fix URB memory leak Fix similar memory leak as in commit 7352e1d5932a ("can: gs_usb: gs_usb_receive_bulk_callback(): fix URB memory leak"). In usb_8dev_open() -> usb_8dev_start(), the URBs for USB-in transfers are allocated, added to the priv->rx_submitted anchor and submitted. In the complete callback usb_8dev_read_bulk_callback(), the URBs are processed and resubmitted. In usb_8dev_close() -> unlink_all_urbs() the URBs are freed by calling usb_kill_anchored_urbs(&priv->rx_submitted). However, this does not take into account that the USB framework unanchors the URB before the complete function is called. This means that once an in-URB has been completed, it is no longer anchored and is ultimately not released in usb_kill_anchored_urbs(). Fix the memory leak by anchoring the URB in the usb_8dev_read_bulk_callback() to the priv->rx_submitted anchor.

CVE-2026-23128 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64: Set __nocfi on swsusp_arch_resume() A DABT is reported[1] on an android based system when resume from hiberate. This happens because swsusp_arch_suspend_exit() is marked with SYM_CODE_*() and does not have a CFI hash, but swsusp_arch_resume() will attempt to verify the CFI hash when calling a copy of swsusp_arch_suspend_exit(). Given that there's an existing requirement that the entrypoint to swsusp_arch_suspend_exit() is the first byte of the .hibernate_exit.text section, we cannot fix this by marking swsusp_arch_suspend_exit() with SYM_FUNC_*(). The simplest fix for now is to disable the CFI check in swsusp_arch_resume(). Mark swsusp_arch_resume() as __nocfi to disable the CFI check. CVE-2025-71154 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: usb: rtl8150: fix memory leak on usb_submit_urb() failure In async_set_registers(), when usb_submit_urb() fails, the allocated async_req structure and URB are not freed, causing a memory leak. The completion callback async_set_reg_cb() is responsible for freeing these allocations, but it is only called after the URB is successfully submitted and completes (successfully or with error). If submission fails, the callback never runs and the memory is leaked. Fix this by freeing both the URB and the request structure in the error path when usb_submit_urb() fails.
CVE-2025-71182 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: j1939: make j1939_session_activate() fail if device is no longer registered syzbot is still reporting unregister_netdevice: waiting for vcan0 to become free. Usage count = 2 even after commit 93a27b5891b8 ("can: j1939: add missing calls in NETDEV_UNREGISTER notification handler") was added. A debug printk() patch found that j1939_session_activate() can succeed even after j1939_cancel_active_session() from j1939_netdev_notify(NETDEV_UNREGISTER) has completed. Since j1939_cancel_active_session() is processed with the session list lock held, checking ndev->reg_state in j1939_session_activate() with the session list lock held can reliably close the race window.

CVE-2026-23146 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_uart: fix null-ptr-deref in hci_uart_write_work hci_uart_set_proto() sets HCI_UART_PROTO_INIT before calling hci_uart_register_dev(), which calls proto->open() to initialize hu->priv. However, if a TTY write wakeup occurs during this window, hci_uart_tx_wakeup() may schedule write_work before hu->priv is initialized, leading to a NULL pointer dereference in hci_uart_write_work() when proto->dequeue() accesses hu->priv. The race condition is: CPU0 CPU1 ---- ---- hci_uart_set_proto() set_bit(HCI_UART_PROTO_INIT) hci_uart_register_dev() tty write wakeup hci_uart_tty_wakeup() hci_uart_tx_wakeup() schedule_work(&hu->write_work) proto->open(hu) // initializes hu->priv hci_uart_write_work() hci_uart_dequeue() proto->dequeue(hu) // accesses hu->priv (NULL!) Fix this by moving set_bit(HCI_UART_PROTO_INIT) after proto->open() succeeds, ensuring hu->priv is initialized before any work can be scheduled.
CVE-2023-54207 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-11 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: uclogic: Correct devm device reference for hidinput input_dev name Reference the HID device rather than the input device for the devm allocation of the input_dev name. Referencing the input_dev would lead to a use-after-free when the input_dev was unregistered and subsequently fires a uevent that depends on the name. At the point of firing the uevent, the name would be freed by devres management. Use devm_kasprintf to simplify the logic for allocating memory and formatting the input_dev name string.
CVE-2026-22977 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: sock: fix hardened usercopy panic in sock_recv_errqueue skbuff_fclone_cache was created without defining a usercopy region, [1] unlike skbuff_head_cache which properly whitelists the cb[] field. [2] This causes a usercopy BUG() when CONFIG_HARDENED_USERCOPY is enabled and the kernel attempts to copy sk_buff.cb data to userspace via sock_recv_errqueue() -> put_cmsg(). The crash occurs when: 1. TCP allocates an skb using alloc_skb_fclone() (from skbuff_fclone_cache) [1] 2. The skb is cloned via skb_clone() using the pre-allocated fclone [3] 3. The cloned skb is queued to sk_error_queue for timestamp reporting 4. Userspace reads the error queue via recvmsg(MSG_ERRQUEUE) 5. sock_recv_errqueue() calls put_cmsg() to copy serr->ee from skb->cb [4] 6. __check_heap_object() fails because skbuff_fclone_cache has no usercopy whitelist [5] When cloned skbs allocated from skbuff_fclone_cache are used in the socket error queue, accessing the sock_exterr_skb structure in skb->cb via put_cmsg() triggers a usercopy hardening violation: [ 5.379589] usercopy: Kernel memory exposure attempt detected from SLUB object 'skbuff_fclone_cache' (offset 296, size 16)!
