CVSS v3.1 |
| A flaw was found in libssh. The API function `ssh_get_hexa()` is vulnerable to a denial of service when processing zero-length input. This can be exploited remotely by an attacker during GSSAPI (Generic Security Service Application Program Interface) authentication if the server's logging verbosity is set to `SSH_LOG_PACKET (3)` or higher. Successful exploitation could lead to a self-Denial of Service of the per-connection daemon process. |
| A malicious SCP server can send unexpected paths that could make the
client application override local files outside of working directory.
This could be misused to create malicious executable or configuration
files and make the user execute them under specific consequences.
This is the same issue as in OpenSSH, tracked as CVE-2019-6111. |
| A flaw was found in libxml2. This vulnerability occurs when the library processes a specially crafted XML Schema Definition (XSD) validated document that includes an internal entity reference. An attacker could exploit this by providing a malicious document, leading to a type confusion error that causes the application to crash. This results in a denial of service (DoS), making the affected system or application unavailable. |
| A vulnerability was found in OpenSSH when the VerifyHostKeyDNS option is enabled. A machine-in-the-middle attack can be performed by a malicious machine impersonating a legit server. This issue occurs due to how OpenSSH mishandles error codes in specific conditions when verifying the host key. For an attack to be considered successful, the attacker needs to manage to exhaust the client's memory resource first, turning the attack complexity high. |
| A type check was missing when handling fonts in PDF.js, which would allow arbitrary JavaScript execution in the PDF.js context. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 126, Firefox ESR < 115.11, and Thunderbird < 115.11. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: gadget: core: Check for unset descriptor
Make sure the descriptor has been set before looking at maxpacket.
This fixes a null pointer panic in this case.
This may happen if the gadget doesn't properly set up the endpoint
for the current speed, or the gadget descriptors are malformed and
the descriptor for the speed/endpoint are not found.
No current gadget driver is known to have this problem, but this
may cause a hard-to-find bug during development of new gadgets. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
padata: Fix possible divide-by-0 panic in padata_mt_helper()

Looking at the padata_mt_helper() function, the only way a divide-by-0
panic can happen is when ps->chunk_size is 0. The way that chunk_size is
initialized in padata_do_multithreaded(), chunk_size can be 0 when the
min_chunk in the passed-in padata_mt_job structure is 0.
Fix this divide-by-0 panic by making sure that chunk_size will be at least
1 no matter what the input parameters are. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ext4: fix infinite loop when replaying fast_commit
When doing fast_commit replay an infinite loop may occur due to an
uninitialized extent_status struct. ext4_ext_determine_insert_hole() does
not detect the replay and calls ext4_es_find_extent_range(), which will
return immediately without initializing the 'es' variable.
Because 'es' contains garbage, an integer overflow may happen causing an
infinite loop in this function, easily reproducible using fstest generic/039.
This commit fixes this issue by unconditionally initializing the structure
in function ext4_es_find_extent_range().
Thanks to Zhang Yi, for figuring out the real problem! |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fs: sysfs: Fix reference leak in sysfs_break_active_protection()
The sysfs_break_active_protection() routine has an obvious reference
leak in its error path. If the call to kernfs_find_and_get() fails then
kn will be NULL, so the companion sysfs_unbreak_active_protection()
routine won't get called (and would only cause an access violation by
trying to dereference kn->parent if it was called). As a result, the
reference to kobj acquired at the start of the function will never be
released.
Fix the leak by adding an explicit kobject_put() call when kn is NULL. |
| A flaw was found in InstructLab. The `linux_train.py` script hardcodes `trust_remote_code=True` when loading models from HuggingFace. This allows a remote attacker to achieve arbitrary Python code execution by convincing a user to run `ilab train/download/generate` with a specially crafted malicious model from the HuggingFace Hub. This vulnerability can lead to complete system compromise. |
| A flaw was found in Open vSwitch. When Open vSwitch is configured with a conntrack flow using FTP helpers over the userspace datapath, a remote attacker can send a specially crafted FTP stream with an EPASV command exceeding 255 characters. This heap access error can lead to a crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the affected system. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
spi: nxp-fspi: fix the KASAN report out-of-bounds bug

data that is not 4 byte aligned to TX FIFO.
To reproduce the issue, write 3 bytes data to NOR chip.

---truncated--- |
| A flaw was found in libarchive. An Undefined Behavior vulnerability exists in the zisofs decompression logic, caused by improper validation of a field (`pz_log2_bs`) read from ISO9660 Rock Ridge extensions. A remote attacker can exploit this by supplying a specially crafted ISO file. This can lead to incorrect memory allocation and potential application crashes, resulting in a denial-of-service (DoS) condition. |
| A flaw was found in libarchive. A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability exists in the ACL parsing logic, specifically within the archive_acl_from_text_nl() function. When processing a malformed ACL string (such as a bare "d" or "default" tag without subsequent fields), the function fails to perform adequate validation before advancing the pointer. An attacker can exploit this by providing a maliciously crafted archive, causing an application utilizing the libarchive API (such as bsdtar) to crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). |
| A flaw was found in gnutls. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted ClientHello message with an invalid Pre-Shared Key (PSK) binder value during the TLS handshake. This can lead to a NULL pointer dereference, causing the server to crash and resulting in a remote Denial of Service (DoS) condition. |
| A flaw was found in util-linux. Improper hostname canonicalization in the `login(1)` utility, when invoked with the `-h` option, can modify the supplied remote hostname before setting `PAM_RHOST`. A remote attacker could exploit this by providing a specially crafted hostname, potentially bypassing host-based Pluggable Authentication Modules (PAM) access control rules that rely on fully qualified domain names. This could lead to unauthorized access. |
| A flaw was found in systemd. The systemd-machined service contains an Improper Access Control vulnerability due to insufficient validation of the class parameter in the RegisterMachine D-Bus (Desktop Bus) method. A local unprivileged user can exploit this by attempting to register a machine with a specific class value, which may leave behind a usable, attacker-controlled machine object. This allows the attacker to invoke methods on the privileged object, leading to the execution of arbitrary commands with root privileges on the host system. |
| A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in Grafana caused by combining a client path traversal and open redirect. This allows attackers to redirect users to a website that hosts a frontend plugin that will execute arbitrary JavaScript. This vulnerability does not require editor permissions and if anonymous access is enabled, the XSS will work. If the Grafana Image Renderer plugin is installed, it is possible to exploit the open redirect to achieve a full read SSRF.
The default Content-Security-Policy (CSP) in Grafana will block the XSS though the `connect-src` directive. |
| sshd in OpenSSH before 7.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and daemon crash) via an out-of-sequence NEWKEYS message, as demonstrated by Honggfuzz, related to kex.c and packet.c. |
