CVSS v3.1 |
| An issue was discovered in urllib2 in Python 2.x through 2.7.16 and urllib in Python 3.x through 3.7.3. CRLF injection is possible if the attacker controls a url parameter, as demonstrated by the first argument to urllib.request.urlopen with \r\n (specifically in the path component of a URL that lacks a ? character) followed by an HTTP header or a Redis command. This is similar to the CVE-2019-9740 query string issue. This is fixed in: v2.7.17, v2.7.17rc1, v2.7.18, v2.7.18rc1; v3.5.10, v3.5.10rc1, v3.5.8, v3.5.8rc1, v3.5.8rc2, v3.5.9; v3.6.10, v3.6.10rc1, v3.6.11, v3.6.11rc1, v3.6.12, v3.6.9, v3.6.9rc1; v3.7.4, v3.7.4rc1, v3.7.4rc2, v3.7.5, v3.7.5rc1, v3.7.6, v3.7.6rc1, v3.7.7, v3.7.7rc1, v3.7.8, v3.7.8rc1, v3.7.9. |

| An issue was discovered in urllib2 in Python 2.x through 2.7.17 and urllib in Python 3.x through 3.8.0. CRLF injection is possible if the attacker controls a url parameter, as demonstrated by the first argument to urllib.request.urlopen with \r\n (specifically in the host component of a URL) followed by an HTTP header. This is similar to the CVE-2019-9740 query string issue and the CVE-2019-9947 path string issue. (This is not exploitable when glibc has CVE-2016-10739 fixed.). This is fixed in: v2.7.18, v2.7.18rc1; v3.5.10, v3.5.10rc1; v3.6.11, v3.6.11rc1, v3.6.12; v3.7.8, v3.7.8rc1, v3.7.9; v3.8.3, v3.8.3rc1, v3.8.4, v3.8.4rc1, v3.8.5, v3.8.6, v3.8.6rc1. |
| A heap-based buffer overflow was found in GIMP’s PCX export plug-in. For images with extremely large width and height, buffer allocation uses overflowing 32-bit width * height arithmetic while subsequent GEGL operations use the full extent, after integer overflow in size calculation |
| A flaw has been found in XnView Classic 2.52.5. Impacted is an unknown function of the component FLI File Parser. This manipulation of the argument starting_line causes heap-based buffer overflow. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. Upgrading to version 2.52.6 is recommended to address this issue. Upgrading the affected component is advised. |
| The CakeResponse::download() method in lib/Cake/Network/CakeResponse.php constructs a Content-Disposition header by directly interpolating a caller-supplied filename into a quoted-string value without sanitization. Two distinct injection vectors exist in the unpatched code. First, if the filename contains C0 control characters (CR or LF), PHP refuses to emit the entire Content-Disposition header, silently dropping the attachment disposition. The response body is then served with its own Content-Type (for example text/html for an .html attachment) and renders inline in the browser on the application origin, creating a stored cross-site scripting condition. The commit message notes this is reachable even when the download_attachments_on_load setting is enabled, meaning a victim merely needs to view a page that triggers the download. Second, a double-quote character in the filename terminates the quoted-string value early, permitting injection of additional Content-Disposition parameters. The affected code path covers all callers of CakeResponse::download(), including attribute downloads, proposal downloads, and restSearch exports. An authenticated user who can create or upload an attachment with a crafted filename (for example through MISP attribute naming or proposal attachment naming) can store the malicious filename. When any other authenticated user views the affected page, the unsanitized filename is reflected into the HTTP response header, resulting in header manipulation and potential execution of arbitrary HTML or JavaScript in the context of the application origin. The security impact is equivalent to a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability, allowing session hijacking, data exfiltration, and unauthorized actions on behalf of the victim. |
| An HTTP header injection vulnerability in start-page-loader.cgi of ADM allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to read arbitrary files on the host system. By sending a crafted HTTP request with injected headers via the state parameter, the attacker can leverage the underlying web server's X-Sendfile mechanism to retrieve sensitive files without authentication.
Affected products and versions include: from ADM 4.1.0 through ADM 4.3.3.RWC1 as well as from ADM 5.0.0 through ADM 5.1.4.RL21. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/hugetlb: preserve mremap address delta when skipping page tables
move_hugetlb_page_tables() optimizes mremap() by advancing to the last
entry in the page table when the source page table does not exist, either
initially or after unsharing a PMD table. The common loop increment then
steps to the first entry in the next page table.
However, the code advances both the source and destination addresses to
the last entries in their respective page tables, which is wrong. The
destination address must be advanced only by the same amount as the source
address.
If the source and destination offsets within their page tables differ, the
destination address can be advanced too far, causing follow-up issues.
Fix this by advancing the destination address by the source advance
distance.
With a reproducer, we were able to trigger a kernel panic on x86-64. With
this fix in place, we can no longer reproduce the issue. |
| Improper Encoding or Escaping of Output vulnerability in the RemoteSyslogAppender of Apache log4net.
Every character outside visible ASCII and space was removed from the record instead of being escaped, so non-ASCII text and control characters such as tabs disappeared without notice. A party whose data reaches a log message could make a distinct value look identical in the record, for example a user name holding a zero-width space logged as admin. Only applications that use RemoteSyslogAppender are affected.
This issue affects Apache log4net: from 1.2.12 before 3.5.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.5.0, which fixes the issue. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/siw: Bound fragmented header copies by the remaining length
siw_get_hdr() can receive an extended DDP/RDMAP header across more than
one TCP callback. The first callback may receive most of the header,
while the next one still limits the copy to hdrlen - MIN_DDP_HDR instead
of the number of missing bytes. This makes the destination move past the
end of the header and overwrite the receive state, including
fpdu_part_rcvd. A later callback can then use a negative fpdu_part_rcvd
value as a copy offset, which creates an OOB write.
Use the number of header bytes already received when calculating the
next copy length. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: mwifiex: prevent authentication frame length truncation
mwifiex_cfg80211_authenticate() derives the authentication frame length
from req->ie_len and req->auth_data_len, both of type size_t, but stores
it in a u16.
NL80211_ATTR_AUTH_DATA only has a minimum length policy. Since nla_len is
a u16, a single attribute can carry up to 65531 bytes of payload, so the
sum can exceed U16_MAX before it is assigned to pkt_len. The truncated
pkt_len determines the skb frame area, while the copy length remains
req->auth_data_len - 4, resulting in a heap buffer overflow.
For example, with auth_data_len equal to 65510 and no IEs, the sum is
65546. It is truncated to 10 and then reduced by four to 6. The driver
appends only six bytes to the skb with skb_put(), but then copies 65506
user-provided bytes into the authentication body.
Reaching this path requires CAP_NET_ADMIN in the user namespace owning
the network namespace, an up station netdev, and a suitable BSS/SAE
authentication request.
Compute the length in size_t, reject values that cannot be represented by
the firmware's u16 frame length field, and only then assign it to pkt_len. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: libertas_tf: fix UAF in lbtf_free_adapter()
lbtf_free_adapter() calls lbtf_free_cmd_buffer() to free the command
buffers before calling timer_delete_sync() to wait for the command
timer callback. If the timer callback (command_timer_fn) is already
running when lbtf_free_cmd_buffer() frees the command array, the
callback dereferences priv->cur_cmd->cmdbuf which points to freed
memory.
Swap the order so that timer_delete_sync() runs first, ensuring any
in-flight callback has completed before the command buffers are freed. |
