CVE-2024-26670 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64: entry: fix ARM64_WORKAROUND_SPECULATIVE_UNPRIV_LOAD Currently the ARM64_WORKAROUND_SPECULATIVE_UNPRIV_LOAD workaround isn't quite right, as it is supposed to be applied after the last explicit memory access, but is immediately followed by an LDR. The ARM64_WORKAROUND_SPECULATIVE_UNPRIV_LOAD workaround is used to handle Cortex-A520 erratum 2966298 and Cortex-A510 erratum 3117295, which are described in: * https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN2444153/0600/?lang=en * https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN1873361/1600/?lang=en In both cases the workaround is described as: | If pagetable isolation is disabled, the context switch logic in the | kernel can be updated to execute the following sequence on affected | cores before exiting to EL0, and after all explicit memory accesses: | | 1. A non-shareable TLBI to any context and/or address, including | unused contexts or addresses, such as a `TLBI VALE1 Xzr`. | | 2. A DSB NSH to guarantee completion of the TLBI. The important part being that the TLBI+DSB must be placed "after all explicit memory accesses". Unfortunately, as-implemented, the TLBI+DSB is immediately followed by an LDR, as we have: | alternative_if ARM64_WORKAROUND_SPECULATIVE_UNPRIV_LOAD | tlbi vale1, xzr | dsb nsh | alternative_else_nop_endif | alternative_if_not ARM64_UNMAP_KERNEL_AT_EL0 | ldr lr, [sp, #S_LR] | add sp, sp, #PT_REGS_SIZE // restore sp | eret | alternative_else_nop_endif | | [ ... KPTI exception return path ... ] This patch fixes this by reworking the logic to place the TLBI+DSB immediately before the ERET, after all explicit memory accesses. The ERET is currently in a separate alternative block, and alternatives cannot be nested. To account for this, the alternative block for ARM64_UNMAP_KERNEL_AT_EL0 is replaced with a single alternative branch to skip the KPTI logic, with the new shape of the logic being: | alternative_insn "b .L_skip_tramp_exit_\@", nop, ARM64_UNMAP_KERNEL_AT_EL0 | [ ... KPTI exception return path ... ] | .L_skip_tramp_exit_\@: | | ldr lr, [sp, #S_LR] | add sp, sp, #PT_REGS_SIZE // restore sp | | alternative_if ARM64_WORKAROUND_SPECULATIVE_UNPRIV_LOAD | tlbi vale1, xzr | dsb nsh | alternative_else_nop_endif | eret The new structure means that the workaround is only applied when KPTI is not in use; this is fine as noted in the documented implications of the erratum: | Pagetable isolation between EL0 and higher level ELs prevents the | issue from occurring. ... and as per the workaround description quoted above, the workaround is only necessary "If pagetable isolation is disabled".
CVE-2023-53020 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-10-01 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: l2tp: close all race conditions in l2tp_tunnel_register() The code in l2tp_tunnel_register() is racy in several ways: 1. It modifies the tunnel socket _after_ publishing it. 2. It calls setup_udp_tunnel_sock() on an existing socket without locking. 3. It changes sock lock class on fly, which triggers many syzbot reports. This patch amends all of them by moving socket initialization code before publishing and under sock lock. As suggested by Jakub, the l2tp lockdep class is not necessary as we can just switch to bh_lock_sock_nested().
CVE-2023-53018 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_conn: Fix memory leaks When hci_cmd_sync_queue() failed in hci_le_terminate_big() or hci_le_big_terminate(), the memory pointed by variable d is not freed, which will cause memory leak. Add release process to error path.
CVE-2023-53017 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: fix memory leak in hci_update_adv_data() When hci_cmd_sync_queue() failed in hci_update_adv_data(), inst_ptr is not freed, which will cause memory leak, convert to use ERR_PTR/PTR_ERR to pass the instance to callback so no memory needs to be allocated.
CVE-2023-53016 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: Fix possible deadlock in rfcomm_sk_state_change syzbot reports a possible deadlock in rfcomm_sk_state_change [1]. While rfcomm_sock_connect acquires the sk lock and waits for the rfcomm lock, rfcomm_sock_release could have the rfcomm lock and hit a deadlock for acquiring the sk lock. Here's a simplified flow: rfcomm_sock_connect: lock_sock(sk) rfcomm_dlc_open: rfcomm_lock() rfcomm_sock_release: rfcomm_sock_shutdown: rfcomm_lock() __rfcomm_dlc_close: rfcomm_k_state_change: lock_sock(sk) This patch drops the sk lock before calling rfcomm_dlc_open to avoid the possible deadlock and holds sk's reference count to prevent use-after-free after rfcomm_dlc_open completes.
CVE-2023-53015 2 Linux, Redhat 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus and 1 more 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: betop: check shape of output reports betopff_init() only checks the total sum of the report counts for each report field to be at least 4, but hid_betopff_play() expects 4 report fields. A device advertising an output report with one field and 4 report counts would pass the check but crash the kernel with a NULL pointer dereference in hid_betopff_play().
CVE-2023-52988 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-10-01 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: hda/via: Avoid potential array out-of-bound in add_secret_dac_path() snd_hda_get_connections() can return a negative error code. It may lead to accessing 'conn' array at a negative index. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.
CVE-2023-52984 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: phy: dp83822: Fix null pointer access on DP83825/DP83826 devices The probe() function is only used for the DP83822 PHY, leaving the private data pointer uninitialized for the smaller DP83825/26 models. While all uses of the private data structure are hidden in 82822 specific callbacks, configuring the interrupt is shared across all models. This causes a NULL pointer dereference on the smaller PHYs as it accesses the private data unchecked. Verifying the pointer avoids that.
CVE-2023-52977 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: openvswitch: fix flow memory leak in ovs_flow_cmd_new Syzkaller reports a memory leak of new_flow in ovs_flow_cmd_new() as it is not freed when an allocation of a key fails. CVE-2022-49759 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: VMCI: Use threaded irqs instead of tasklets The vmci_dispatch_dgs() tasklet function calls vmci_read_data() which uses wait_event() resulting in invalid sleep in an atomic context (and therefore potentially in a deadlock). Use threaded irqs to fix this issue and completely remove usage of tasklets. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cpufreq: CPPC: Add u64 casts to avoid overflowing The fields of the _CPC object are unsigned 32-bits values. To avoid overflows while using _CPC's values, add 'u64' casts.
CVE-2022-49748 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/x86/amd: fix potential integer overflow on shift of a int The left shift of int 32 bit integer constant 1 is evaluated using 32 bit arithmetic and then passed as a 64 bit function argument. In the case where i is 32 or more this can lead to an overflow. Avoid this by shifting using the BIT_ULL macro instead.
CVE-2024-58099 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vmxnet3: Fix packet corruption in vmxnet3_xdp_xmit_frame Andrew and Nikolay reported connectivity issues with Cilium's service load-balancing in case of vmxnet3. If a BPF program for native XDP adds an encapsulation header such as IPIP and transmits the packet out the same interface, then in case of vmxnet3 a corrupted packet is being sent and subsequently dropped on the path. vmxnet3_xdp_xmit_frame() which is called e.g. via vmxnet3_run_xdp() through vmxnet3_xdp_xmit_back() calculates an incorrect DMA address: page = virt_to_page(xdpf->data); tbi->dma_addr = page_pool_get_dma_addr(page) + VMXNET3_XDP_HEADROOM; dma_sync_single_for_device(&adapter->pdev->dev, tbi->dma_addr, buf_size, DMA_TO_DEVICE); The above assumes a fixed offset (VMXNET3_XDP_HEADROOM), but the XDP BPF program could have moved xdp->data. While the passed buf_size is correct (xdpf->len), the dma_addr needs to have a dynamic offset which can be calculated as xdpf->data - (void *)xdpf, that is, xdp->data - xdp->data_hard_start.
