CVE-2026-50256 2 Redhat, X.org 11 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Rhel Aus and 8 more 2026-08-04 7.8 High
A stack-based buffer overflow flaw was found in the X.Org X server and Xwayland. A mismatch between the X server and the libXfont2 library's maximum font name length can cause a stack buffer overflow during font alias resolution. The server allocates a 256 byte stack buffer but libXfont2's alias target name length is 1024 bytes. A font alias name between 257 and 1023 bytes causes the X server to copy that name into the undersized stack buffer without further checks. This may be used to crash the server, or for privilege escalation if the X server runs as root.
CVE-2021-27137 1 Dd-wrt 1 Dd-wrt 2026-08-04 8.1 High
An issue was discovered in router/upnp/src/ssdp.c in DD-WRT before 45724. An unsafe strcpy in the UPnP handling functionality allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to send a request that would overflow an internal fixed buffer. Exploitation requires the DD-WRT user to enable UPnP (which is off by default, and only listens on internal interfaces by default). This occurs in ssdp_msearch (reachable by an M-SEARCH request).
CVE-2024-26768 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.2 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: LoongArch: Change acpi_core_pic[NR_CPUS] to acpi_core_pic[MAX_CORE_PIC] With default config, the value of NR_CPUS is 64. When HW platform has more then 64 cpus, system will crash on these platforms. MAX_CORE_PIC is the maximum cpu number in MADT table (max physical number) which can exceed the supported maximum cpu number (NR_CPUS, max logical number), but kernel should not crash. Kernel should boot cpus with NR_CPUS, let the remainder cpus stay in BIOS. The potential crash reason is that the array acpi_core_pic[NR_CPUS] can be overflowed when parsing MADT table, and it is obvious that CORE_PIC should be corresponding to physical core rather than logical core, so it is better to define the array as acpi_core_pic[MAX_CORE_PIC]. With the patch, system can boot up 64 vcpus with qemu parameter -smp 128, otherwise system will crash with the following message. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: afs: Increase buffer size in afs_update_volume_status() The max length of volume->vid value is 20 characters. So increase idbuf[] size up to 24 to avoid overflow. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE. [DH: Actually, it's 20 + NUL, so increase it to 24 and use snprintf()]
CVE-2023-52606 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/lib: Validate size for vector operations Some of the fp/vmx code in sstep.c assume a certain maximum size for the instructions being emulated. The size of those operations however is determined separately in analyse_instr(). Add a check to validate the assumption on the maximum size of the operations, so as to prevent any unintended kernel stack corruption.
CVE-2021-47390 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86: Fix stack-out-of-bounds memory access from ioapic_write_indirect() KASAN reports the following issue: BUG: KASAN: stack-out-of-bounds in kvm_make_vcpus_request_mask+0x174/0x440 [kvm] Read of size 8 at addr ffffc9001364f638 by task qemu-kvm/4798 CPU: 0 PID: 4798 Comm: qemu-kvm Tainted: G X --------- --- Hardware name: AMD Corporation DAYTONA_X/DAYTONA_X, BIOS RYM0081C 07/13/2020 Call Trace: dump_stack+0xa5/0xe6 print_address_description.constprop.0+0x18/0x130 ? kvm_make_vcpus_request_mask+0x174/0x440 [kvm] __kasan_report.cold+0x7f/0x114 ? kvm_make_vcpus_request_mask+0x174/0x440 [kvm] kasan_report+0x38/0x50 kasan_check_range+0xf5/0x1d0 kvm_make_vcpus_request_mask+0x174/0x440 [kvm] kvm_make_scan_ioapic_request_mask+0x84/0xc0 [kvm] ? kvm_arch_exit+0x110/0x110 [kvm] ? sched_clock+0x5/0x10 ioapic_write_indirect+0x59f/0x9e0 [kvm] ? static_obj+0xc0/0xc0 ? __lock_acquired+0x1d2/0x8c0 ? kvm_ioapic_eoi_inject_work+0x120/0x120 [kvm] The problem appears to be that 'vcpu_bitmap' is allocated as a single long on stack and it should really be KVM_MAX_VCPUS long. We also seem to clear the lower 16 bits of it with bitmap_zero() for no particular reason (my guess would be that 'bitmap' and 'vcpu_bitmap' variables in kvm_bitmap_or_dest_vcpus() caused the confusion: while the later is indeed 16-bit long, the later should accommodate all possible vCPUs).
CVE-2021-47109 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: neighbour: allow NUD_NOARP entries to be forced GCed IFF_POINTOPOINT interfaces use NUD_NOARP entries for IPv6. It's possible to fill up the neighbour table with enough entries that it will overflow for valid connections after that. This behaviour is more prevalent after commit 58956317c8de ("neighbor: Improve garbage collection") is applied, as it prevents removal from entries that are not NUD_FAILED, unless they are more than 5s old.

CVE-2026-51603 1 Tenda 1 Cp3 2026-08-01 7.5 High
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the RTSP service of Tenda CP3 V3.0 (firmware V31.1.9.91) allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause a denial of service via a crafted second SETUP request. After completing the OPTIONS, DESCRIBE, and a legitimate first SETUP request to obtain a valid session ID, the RTSP service's second-stage URL routing parser fails to validate the length of the URL field in the subsequent SETUP request. By supplying a URL consisting of exactly four consecutive repetitions of a valid RTSP URL, an attacker can bypass first-stage format validation and trigger a stack buffer overflow, causing an immediate crash of the RTSP service process and rendering the device inaccessible to all clients on the local network.
