| Home Assistant is open source home automation software that puts local control and privacy first. Starting in version 2020.02 and prior to version 2026.01, an authenticated party can add a malicious name to their device entity, allowing for Cross-Site Scripting attacks against anyone who can see a dashboard with a Map-card which includes that entity. It requires that the victim hovers over an information point. Version 2026.01 fixes the issue. |
| Domoticz versions prior to 2026.1 contain a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Add Hardware and rename device functionality of the web interface that allows authenticated administrators to execute arbitrary scripts by supplying crafted names containing script or HTML markup. | Handlebars provides the power necessary to let users build semantic templates. In versions 4.0.0 through 4.7.8, the Handlebars CLI precompiler (`bin/handlebars` / `lib/precompiler.js`) concatenates user-controlled strings — template file names and several CLI options — directly into the JavaScript it emits, without any escaping or sanitization. An attacker who can influence template filenames or CLI arguments can inject arbitrary JavaScript that executes when the generated bundle is loaded in Node.js or a browser. Version 4.7.9 fixes the issue. Some workarounds are available. First, validate all CLI inputs before invoking the precompiler. Reject filenames and option values that contain characters with JavaScript string-escaping significance (`"`, `'`, `;`, etc.). Second, use a fixed, trusted namespace string passed via a configuration file rather than command-line arguments in automated pipelines. Third, run the precompiler in a sandboxed environment (container with no write access to sensitive paths) to limit the impact of successful exploitation. Fourth, audit template filenames in any repository or package that is consumed by an automated build pipeline. |

| Webform Multiple File Upload module for Drupal 7.x contains a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the file name renderer. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by uploading a file with a malicious
filename containing JavaScript code (e.g., "<img src=1 onerror=alert(document.domain)>") to a Webform node with a Multifile field where file type validation is disabled. This allows the execution of arbitrary scripts
in the context of the victim's browser.
The issue is present in a third-party library and has been addressed in a patch available at https://github.com/fyneworks/multifile/pull/44 . Users are advised to apply the provided patch or update to a fixed version of the module. |

| jsPDF is a library to generate PDFs in JavaScript. Prior to version 4.2.1, user control of the `options` argument of the `output` function allows attackers to inject arbitrary HTML (such as scripts) into the browser context the created PDF is opened in. The vulnerability can be exploited in the following scenario: the attacker provides values for the output options, for example via a web interface. These values are then passed unsanitized (automatically or semi-automatically) to the attack victim. The victim creates and opens a PDF with the attack vector using one of the vulnerable method overloads inside their browser. The attacker can thus inject scripts that run in the victims browser context and can extract or modify secrets from this context. The vulnerability has been fixed in jspdf@4.2.1. As a workaround, sanitize user input before passing it to the output method. |
