CVE-2026-76061 1 Redhat 1 Openshift 2026-10-09 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in CRI-O's `bind_mount_prefix` handling. When configured with a non-empty `bind_mount_prefix`, a malicious container or local attacker could use a Container Runtime Interface (CRI) hostPath containing an intermediate absolute symlink. This could cause the bind mount source to resolve outside the intended prefixed root, potentially leading to unauthorized access to files or privilege escalation on the host system.

CVE-2026-46569 1 Tuxera 1 Ntfs-3g 2026-10-09 7.7 High
In NTFS-3G before 2026.7.7, a heap buffer overflow exists in ntfs_ib_copy_tail(), in libntfs-3g/index.c, that allows an attacker to corrupt heap memory in the SUID-root ntfs-3g binary by crafting a malicious NTFS image. The overflow is triggered by extending a directory, e.g., by creating a file.
CVE-2026-106587 1 Openbsd 1 Openssh 2026-10-09 3.6 Low
In sshd in OpenSSH before 10.6, the value "none" for a configuration option is sometimes interpreted as a filename but was intended to mean that a feature is disabled.
CVE-2026-106555 1 Openbsd 1 Openssh 2026-10-09 2.2 Low
In sshd in OpenSSH before 10.6, GSSAPIAuthentication authentication state can incorrectly be persisted across authentication attempts.
CVE-2026-106508 2026-10-09 5.3 Medium
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 1.15.4, the @backstage/plugin-techdocs-node package is affected by potential file exposure through local techdocs publisher. When using the local TechDocs publisher (techdocs.publisher.type: 'local'), it was possible for the documentation serving endpoint to follow filesystem references outside the intended documentation tree, potentially exposing host files to authenticated users. This is mitigated by the fact that exploration requires preconditions that do not arise through normal MkDocs operation. Cloud-based publishers (S3, GCS, Azure Blob Storage) are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.15.4.
CVE-2026-106503 1 Backstage 2 Backstage, Plugin-scaffolder-backend 2026-10-09 8.1 High
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 3.3.1, 3.4.1, 4.0.3 and 4.1.0, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend package is affected by scaffolder action input authorization bypass. An authenticated user with access to affected Scaffolder templates could bypass configured action restrictions. Depending on integration credentials, this could grant unauthorized access to repositories and related source-control resources. This issue is fixed in versions 3.3.1, 3.4.1, 4.0.3 and 4.1.0.
CVE-2026-106498 2026-10-09 7.7 High
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 3.5.1, 3.6.2, 3.7.2, 3.8.2 and 3.9.1, the @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend package is affected by improper url validation in catalog entity placeholder resolution. An authenticated Backstage user could craft a catalog entity with placeholder directives that reference resources outside the entity's source repository. Under certain configurations, this could allow access to data not intended to be available to the user. This issue is fixed in versions 3.5.1, 3.6.2, 3.7.2, 3.8.2 and 3.9.1.
CVE-2026-106492 2026-10-09 7.6 High
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.16.1 and 0.17.8, the @backstage/backend-defaults package is affected by improper preservation of access restrictions during service credential delegation. An external service credential configured with access restrictions (e.g., read-only) could bypass those restrictions by routing requests through plugin delegation paths. This could allow a restricted service to perform operations beyond its intended scope, including write operations on plugins it was restricted to read-only access for. This issue is fixed in versions 0.16.1 and 0.17.8.
CVE-2026-106487 2026-10-09 3.5 Low
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.21.10, the @backstage/plugin-kubernetes-backend package is affected by unsupported catalog cluster authentication mode in kubernetes backend. Deployments using catalog cluster discovery may be affected when catalog contributors can create or modify kubernetes-cluster Resource entities. With the required endpoint permissions and pod RBAC, the backend can use its local in-cluster identity, potentially exposing Kubernetes resources readable by that identity. The credential is used only with the local in-cluster API endpoint and is not sent to the catalog-supplied endpoint. This issue is fixed in version 0.21.10.
CVE-2026-106460 2026-10-09 6.8 Medium
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. From 0.3.0 until 0.6.15 and 0.7.5, the @backstage/plugin-auth-node package did not consistently honor explicit negative email verification during shared OAuth profile normalization. The affected paths include a selected profile email marked verified: false, a matching raw provider email marked email_verified: false, and an email obtained only from an ID token marked email_verified: false. Exploitation requires an admitted identity-provider user who can supply or change an unverified email and a deployment that uses the selected profile email to resolve catalog identities. The verification metadata must apply to the selected email; an absent email_verified claim alone is not affected. In an affected configuration, the user may assume another catalog identity and obtain its associated access and permissions. This issue is fixed in versions 0.6.15 and 0.7.5.
CVE-2026-106455 2026-10-09 7.7 High
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. From 0.11.12 until 1.14.7 and 1.15.5, the @backstage/plugin-techdocs-node package is affected by improper validation of mkdocs plugin configuration in techdocs. An authenticated attacker with control over a TechDocs source repository could cause a documentation build to retrieve and publish data from network locations reachable by the build environment. Exposure depends on deployment topology, build mode, and target endpoint protections. Modern cloud metadata services that require tokens or special headers are not directly accessible through the affected behavior. This issue is fixed in @backstage/plugin-techdocs-node versions 1.14.7 and 1.15.5.
