CVSS v3.1 |
xrdp is an open source RDP server. Versions 0.10.6 and prior contain a timing side-channel vulnerability in the login interface. Due to a discrepancy in response processing times, a remote attacker can infer the existence of a username on the system, leading to unauthorized information disclosure via username enumeration. This issue has been fixed in version 0.10.6.1.
An issue was discovered in cyrus-imapd in Cyrus IMAP through 3.12.2. There is an ESEARCH cross-user content oracle. By using the ESEARCH command, an authenticated IMAP user could enumerate folder names under any account they could name. Search would return UIDs of messages matching the search, creating a content oracle (without allowing arbitrary reads of the target's content).
| MCO is vulnerable to User Enumeration through authentication-related functionalities. The application returns distinguishable responses for valid and invalid users during username reminder and password reset operations. An attacker can leverage these differences to enumerate valid usernames and email addresses.
Because vendor contact attempts were unsuccessful, the vulnerability has only been confirmed in version 25.3.3.1 but may also affect other versions. |
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 5.18.0 until 6.21.1, a discrepancy in responses from the members signin endpoints made it possible for an unauthenticated attacker to determine whether a given email address belongs to a registered member of a Ghost site. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.21.1.
vantage6 is an open-source infrastructure for privacy preserving analysis. Versions prior to 5.0.0 provide an initial user with username `root` and password `root`. This is not ideal because attackers know that almost all vantage6 servers have a user with username `root` that probably has admin rights, and the initial password is very weak and it is possible that administrators forget to reset it. Version 5.0.0 fixes the issue. As a workaround, it is possible to delete the `root` user after it has been used to create other users.
FOSSBilling is a free, open-source billing and client management system. Prior to version 0.8.0, the password reset confirmation endpoint `/client/reset-password-confirm/:hash` is handled by a non-API controller and is not covered by FOSSBilling's rate limiter, which only applies to `/api/*` routes. This allows an attacker to probe the endpoint for valid reset tokens without any per-IP request limiting, attempt counting, or lockout mechanism. The endpoint acts as an oracle, returning a distinguishable response for valid versus invalid tokens (HTTP 200 vs HTTP 302 redirect). An attacker can submit unlimited token guesses to the password reset confirmation endpoint with no throttling applied. However, practical exploitability is significantly mitigated by the current token generation, which uses `hash('sha256', random_bytes(32))`, providing 256 bits of entropy. Tokens also expire after 15 minutes and are deleted after successful use. The same architectural gap applies to other controller-served auth routes, including `/staff/email/:hash` (admin password reset confirmation) and `/client/confirm-email/:hash` (email confirmation). Version 0.8.0 fixes the issue. Some workarounds are available. Configure a reverse proxy (e.g., Nginx, Apache, Cloudflare) to apply per-IP rate limiting to the `/client/reset-password-confirm/*` and `/staff/email/*` paths and/or use a WAF rule to limit request rates to these endpoints.
FreeScout is a free help desk and shared inbox built with PHP's Laravel framework. Prior to 1.8.219, the password reset endpoint returns visually distinct responses depending on whether the submitted email address belongs to an existing user account, allowing unauthenticated attackers to enumerate valid helpdesk agent email addresses. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.8.219.
WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. In 29.0 and earlier, objects/mention.json.php has no User::loginCheck() or admin gate. It only has an entry guard: preg_match('/^@/', $_REQUEST['term']) and hard-coded rowCount=10. This enables unauthenticated user enumeration.
userSpice 4.3.24 contains a username enumeration vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to discover valid usernames by sending POST requests to the existingUsernameCheck.php endpoint. Attackers can submit usernames and analyze response text for the 'taken' string to identify existing accounts in the system.
An observable response discrepancy vulnerability in the SonicWall SMA1000 series appliances allows a remote attacker to enumerate SSL VPN user credentials.
Tibbo AggreGate Network Manager < 6.40.05 contains an observable response discrepancy in its login functionality. Authentication failure messages differ based on whether a supplied username exists or not, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to infer valid account identifiers. This can facilitate user enumeration and increase the likelihood of targeted brute-force or credential-stuffing attacks.
Statamic is a Laravel and Git powered content management system (CMS). Prior to 5.73.21 and 6.15.0, responses from the forgot password forms hinted at whether an account existed for a given email address. An unauthenticated attacker could use this to enumerate valid users, which can aid in follow-up credential-based attacks. This vulnerability is fixed in 5.73.21 and 6.15.0.
A vulnerability was found in Industrial Application Software IAS Canias ERP 8.03. The impacted element is the function doAction of the component Login RMI Interface. Performing a manipulation results in observable response discrepancy. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. A high degree of complexity is needed for the attack. The exploitability is regarded as difficult. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
Vulnerability in the MySQL Shell product of Oracle MySQL (component: Shell: Core Client). Supported versions that are affected are 8.0.0-8.0.45, 8.4.0-8.4.8 and 9.0.0-9.6.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with logon to the infrastructure where MySQL Shell executes to compromise MySQL Shell. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of MySQL Shell. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 5.0 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H).
During authorization checks in SAP Human Capital Management for SAP S/4HANA, the system returns specific messages. Due to this, an authenticated user with low privileges could guess and enumerate the content shown, beyond their authorized scope. This leads to disclosure of sensitive information causing a high impact on confidentiality, while integrity and availability are unaffected.
A flaw has been found in projectsend up to r1945. This impacts an unknown function of the file includes/Classes/Auth.php. Executing a manipulation of the argument ldap_email can lead to observable response discrepancy. The attack can be executed remotely. A high complexity level is associated with this attack. The exploitability is said to be difficult. The exploit has been published and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
Saleor is an e-commerce platform. From 2.10.0 to before 3.23.0a3, 3.22.47, 3.21.54, and 3.20.118, the requestEmailChange() mutation was revealing the existence of user-provided email addresses in error messages. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.23.0a3, 3.22.47, 3.21.54, and 3.20.118.
ChurchCRM is an open-source church management system. In versions prior to 7.2.0, the public API login endpoint (/api/public/user/login) returns distinguishable HTTP response codes based on whether a username exists: 404 for non-existent users and 401 for valid users with incorrect passwords. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this difference to enumerate valid usernames, with no rate limiting or account lockout to impede the process. This issue has been fixed in version 7.2.0.
AnythingLLM is an application that turns pieces of content into context that any LLM can use as references during chatting. Prior to commit e287fab56089cf8fcea9ba579a3ecdeca0daa313, the password recovery endpoint returns different error messages depending on whether a username exists, so enabling username enumeration. Commit e287fab56089cf8fcea9ba579a3ecdeca0daa313 fixes this issue.
Static Web Server (SWS) is a production-ready web server suitable for static web files or assets. In versions 2.1.0 through 2.40.1, a timing-based username enumeration vulnerability in Basic Authentication allows attackers to identify valid users by exploiting early responses for invalid usernames, enabling targeted brute-force or credential-stuffing attacks. SWS checks whether a username exists before verifying the password, causing valid usernames to follow a slower code path (e.g., bcrypt hashing) while invalid usernames receive an immediate 401 response. This timing discrepancy allows attackers to enumerate valid accounts by measuring response-time differences. This issue has been fixed in version 2.41.0.
