| Out of bounds write in Codecs in Google Chrome prior to 150.0.7871.186 allowed a remote attacker to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tcp: Fix out-of-bounds access for twsk in tcp_ao_established_key().
lockdep_sock_is_held() was added in tcp_ao_established_key()
by the cited commit.
It can be called from tcp_v[46]_timewait_ack() with twsk.
Since it does not have sk->sk_lock, the lockdep annotation
results in out-of-bound access.
$ pahole -C tcp_timewait_sock vmlinux | grep size
/* size: 288, cachelines: 5, members: 8 */
$ pahole -C sock vmlinux | grep sk_lock
socket_lock_t sk_lock; /* 440 192 */
Let's not use lockdep_sock_is_held() for TCP_TIME_WAIT. |
| Use after free in GPU in Google Chrome on Android prior to 150.0.7871.125 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
HID: wacom: Fix OOB write in wacom_hid_set_device_mode()
wacom_hid_set_device_mode() currently assumes that the HID_DG_INPUTMODE
usage is always located in the first field (field[0]) of the feature report.
However, a device can specify HID_DG_INPUTMODE in a different field.
If HID_DG_INPUTMODE is in a field other than the first one and the first
field has a report_count smaller than the usage_index of HID_DG_INPUTMODE,
this leads to an out-of-bounds write to r->field[0]->value.
Fix this by storing the field index of HID_DG_INPUTMODE in 'struct
hid_data' during feature mapping. In wacom_hid_set_device_mode(), use
this stored field index to access the correct field and add bounds
checks to ensure both the field index and the value index are within
valid ranges before writing. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ethtool: coalesce: cap profile updates at NET_DIM_PARAMS_NUM_PROFILES
ethnl_update_profile() walks the ETHTOOL_A_PROFILE_IRQ_MODERATION
nest list with an index 'i' and writes new_profile[i++] without
bounding i. The destination is kmemdup()'d at NET_DIM_PARAMS_NUM_PROFILES
entries (5), but the Netlink nest count is entirely user-controlled.
Netlink policies do not have support for constraining the number
of nested entries (or number of multi-attr entries). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ethtool: cmis: validate start_cmd_payload_size from module
The CMIS firmware update code reads start_cmd_payload_size from
the module's FW Management Features CDB reply and uses it directly
as the byte count for memcpy. The destination buffer is 112 bytes
(ETHTOOL_CMIS_CDB_LPL_MAX_PL_LENGTH - 8). So a malicious
module (or corrupted response) can cause a OOB write later on in
cmis_fw_update_start_download().
Let's error out. If modules that expect longer LPL writes actually
exist we should revisit.
struct cmis_cdb_start_fw_download_pl's definition has to move,
no change there. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: mana: validate rx_req_idx to prevent out-of-bounds array access
In mana_hwc_rx_event_handler(), rx_req_idx is derived from
sge->address in DMA-coherent memory. In Confidential VMs
(SEV-SNP/TDX), this memory is shared unencrypted and HW can modify
WQE contents at any time. No bounds check exists on rx_req_idx,
which can lead to an out-of-bounds access into reqs[].
Add bounds check on rx_req_idx in mana_hwc_rx_event_handler() before
using it to index the reqs[] array. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
cgroup/rstat: validate cpu before css_rstat_cpu() access
css_rstat_updated() is exposed as a BPF kfunc and accepts a
caller-provided cpu argument. The function uses cpu for per-cpu rstat
lookups without checking whether it refers to a valid possible CPU.
A BPF iter/cgroup program with CAP_BPF and CAP_PERFMON can pass an
invalid cpu value. On an unfixed UBSCAN_BOUNDS test kernel, cpu ==
0x7fffffff triggers:
UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in kernel/cgroup/rstat.c:31:9
index 2147483647 is out of range for type 'long unsigned int [64]'
Call Trace:
css_rstat_updated
bpf_iter_run_prog
cgroup_iter_seq_show
bpf_seq_read
Add cpu validation to the BPF-facing css_rstat_updated() kfunc and
move the common implementation to __css_rstat_updated() for in-kernel
callers. |
| In OpenStack Ironic Python Agent through 11.6.0, a project-scoped user with the manager role can achieve arbitrary code execution on a running Ironic-Python-Agent via a maliciously constructed configuration, because the value of ntp_server is passed to a shell. |
| Heap buffer overflow in libyuv in Google Chrome on Windows prior to 150.0.7871.125 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside a sandbox via a crafted video file. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| A vulnerability was identified in localstack serverless-localstack up to 1.4.0. The affected element is an unknown function of the file src/index.js of the component Configuration Handler. The manipulation of the argument custom.localstack.docker.compose_file leads to os command injection. An attack has to be approached locally. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. |
| Use after free in Input in Google Chrome prior to 150.0.7871.186 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| GNU coreutils unexpand is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow due to an integer overflow during buffer allocation when processing large tab stop (-t) values. The multiplication used to calculate the allocation size can wrap around, resulting in an undersized buffer.
When processing crafted input, subsequent writes exceed the allocated memory, leading to an out‑of‑bounds heap write.
When running GNU coreutils unexpand with attacker-provided large tab stop (-t) arguments, this behavior leads to a crash and potentially achieve a heap write primitive depending on memory layout.
This issue has been fixed in the commit b60a159fdc5bfcf9988d3a4cb6f53abe8ad5d35d |
| Incorrect boundary conditions, integer overflow in the Libraries component in NSS. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 153 and Thunderbird 153. |
| When importing connections in Compass it is possible to override some connection options that are otherwise can't be changed via connection form. In particular it is possible to provide a custom browser open command for OIDC auth flow that is usually can be set only globally via Compass settings. |
| Buffa is a pure-Rust Protocol Buffers implementation with first-class protobuf editions support. Prior to 0.8.0, the decode_unknown_field function in buffa's protobuf decoder allocated heap memory in proportion to untrusted input (unknown fields in the serialized protobuf) without enforcing an allocation budget, affecting any message decoded from untrusted input using code generated with preserve_unknown_fields=true (the default); a small, well-formed payload of nested unknown fields inside a StartGroup could trigger roughly 22x memory amplification (for example a 64 MiB input forcing about 1.4 GB of heap allocation), and length-delimited unknown fields could be sized arbitrarily, so an unauthenticated attacker could crash a process through memory exhaustion because the top-level message size cap did not account for in-decode amplification. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.0. |
| Out-of-bounds write vulnerability in Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. BC-LTS bcprov-lts8on on ARM allows Overflow Buffers.
This vulnerability is associated with program files https://github.Com/bcgit/bc-lts-java/blob/main/native_c/arm/sha/shake.C, https://github.Com/bcgit/bc-lts-java/blob/main/native_c/arm/sha/sha3.C.
