| Catalyst::Plugin::Static::Simple versions through 0.38 for Perl mark responses as publicly cacheable.
The _serve_static method always sets the Cache-Control header to "public", with no means of overriding it. This advises proxies that the content may be stored in a shared cache, and may be reused in responses to requests from other users. (This includes requests with an Authorization header.)
Configuring the expires time to "0" to disable caching, as documented, is ignored. |
| openssl_encrypt (pip) versions <= 1.4.7 contain an information exposure vulnerability where the 'hsm fido2-test' and 'hsm onlykey-test' diagnostic commands unconditionally print the full derived hardware pepper as hex to stdout/stderr (crypt_cli.py, handle_hsm_command). The printed value can persist in terminal scrollback, session recordings, or CI logs. Impact is limited because the pepper is derived from a random per-invocation test salt and is salt-bound, so the leaked value cannot be used to decrypt real files. A related plugin issue logged raw prf_data outside the secret-redaction path. Fixed in 1.4.8 (and 1.5.0) by removing the hex dumps and routing plugin debug output through the redaction layer. |

| Blueprint Studio is a VS Code-like file editor for Home Assistant configuration files. Prior to 2.5.2, Blueprint Studio terminal SSH key authentication in custom_components/blueprint_studio/backend/terminal_manager.py wrote SSH private-key material to a file under the Home Assistant configuration directory before applying restrictive permissions and relied on best-effort cleanup. The key could temporarily remain on disk and could persist if cleanup failed or Home Assistant crashed. A user or process with filesystem access to the Home Assistant configuration directory could obtain the residual private key. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.2. |

| Kenwood DNR1007XR Firmware Update Link Following Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows physically present attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Kenwood DNR1007XR devices. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the firmware update process. By creating a symbolic link, an attacker can abuse the service to move a file to an arbitrary location. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of root. Was ZDI-CAN-28751. |
| The HTTPPasswordMgr class in the urllib.request module, along with its subclasses HTTPPasswordMgrWithDefaultRealm and HTTPPasswordMgrWithPriorAuth, did not take the URL scheme into account when matching stored credentials against a requested URL. Credentials added for an https:// URL were also used for requests to the same host over http://, so an attacker able to redirect or downgrade a client to plain HTTP (for example, via an HTTPS-to-HTTP redirect or an on-path position) could capture credentials in cleartext. Credentials added for http:// URLs could likewise be sent over https://.
Credential matching is now scoped by URL scheme. Credentials registered with a URL that includes a scheme are only used for requests with the same scheme. Credentials registered with a bare authority (such as example.com or example.com:8080) continue to match any scheme, preserving compatibility with existing code, including proxy authentication.
Users who cannot upgrade immediately can mitigate by ensuring that applications never make plain http:// requests to hosts for which credentials are registered, for example by not following redirects to http:// URLs. |
| CloudNativePG is a platform designed to manage PostgreSQL databases within Kubernetes environments. Prior to 1.28.4 and 1.29.2, CloudNativePG embedded cleartext role passwords in `ALTER ROLE` and `CREATE ROLE` statements generated by SetUserPassword in pkg/management/postgres/utils/roles.go and appendPasswordOption in internal/management/controller/roles/postgres.go. When pg_stat_statements was preloaded with track_utility enabled and an untrusted tenant held pg_monitor or pg_read_all_stats, the tenant could recover platform-managed superuser or application-owner passwords, reconnect through enabled superuser TCP access, and execute operating system commands in the database pod with `COPY ... FROM PROGRAM`. Clusters using SCRAM-SHA-256 verifiers in managed-role Secrets were not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 1.28.4, 1.29.2, and 1.30.0. |
| django CMS is a content management system powered by Django. Prior to 5.0.8 and in 5.1.0a1, the django CMS page cache in cms/cache/page.py ignores request headers declared by plugins through get_vary_cache_on(). The _page_cache_key function includes the cache prefix, site, language, path, and timezone but not the declared header values. Although set_page_cache adds those names to the response Vary header, get_page_cache retrieves the first stored variant under the same header-agnostic key. When CMS_PAGE_CACHE is enabled and a plugin varies content on a header such as Country-Code, one visitor can receive another visitor’s request-specific content, and an unauthenticated attacker can prime the cache with attacker-chosen content. This issue is fixed in versions 5.0.8 and 5.1.0. |
| A flaw was found in MRTG. When the MRTG daemon is started as a root user and subsequently drops privileges, a local, low-privileged attacker can exploit a symbolic link (symlink) following vulnerability. By influencing or pre-placing a symlink in the process ID (PID) file path, the attacker can trick the root process into changing the ownership of an arbitrary existing file to the daemon user. This can lead to local privilege escalation, allowing unauthorized access to or modification of sensitive files. |

| SSHFS is a network filesystem client for connecting to SSH servers. Prior to version 3.7.6, a rogue SFTP server can return absolute symlink targets or relative targets containing parent-directory components that SSHFS passes through FUSE for resolution by the client kernel against the local filesystem. The documented transform_symlinks mitigation does not contain relative targets because transform_symlink() returns early at sshfs.c:2181, while sshfs_readlink() at sshfs.c:2234 to sshfs.c:2236 otherwise copies the server-supplied link target to the kernel. A victim or victim-side tool that follows such a link through ordinary operations such as cp, rsync, backup tooling, or an editor can disclose readable local files back to the server or write server-controlled content to writable local files, potentially including startup or scheduled-task files. This issue is fixed in version 3.7.6. |
