CVE-2026-43226 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/rds: No shortcut out of RDS_CONN_ERROR RDS connections carry a state "rds_conn_path::cp_state" and transitions from one state to another and are conditional upon an expected state: "rds_conn_path_transition." There is one exception to this conditionality, which is "RDS_CONN_ERROR" that can be enforced by "rds_conn_path_drop" regardless of what state the condition is currently in. But as soon as a connection enters state "RDS_CONN_ERROR", the connection handling code expects it to go through the shutdown-path. The RDS/TCP multipath changes added a shortcut out of "RDS_CONN_ERROR" straight back to "RDS_CONN_CONNECTING" via "rds_tcp_accept_one_path" (e.g. after "rds_tcp_state_change"). A subsequent "rds_tcp_reset_callbacks" can then transition the state to "RDS_CONN_RESETTING" with a shutdown-worker queued. That'll trip up "rds_conn_init_shutdown", which was never adjusted to handle "RDS_CONN_RESETTING" and subsequently drops the connection with the dreaded "DR_INV_CONN_STATE", which leaves "RDS_SHUTDOWN_WORK_QUEUED" on forever. So we do two things here: a) Don't shortcut "RDS_CONN_ERROR", but take the longer path through the shutdown code. b) Add "RDS_CONN_RESETTING" to the expected states in "rds_conn_init_shutdown" so that we won't error out and get stuck, if we ever hit weird state transitions like this again."
CVE-2026-43227 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: clocksource/drivers/sh_tmu: Always leave device running after probe The TMU device can be used as both a clocksource and a clockevent provider. The driver tries to be smart and power itself on and off, as well as enabling and disabling its clock when it's not in operation. This behavior is slightly altered if the TMU is used as an early platform device in which case the device is left powered on after probe, but the clock is still enabled and disabled at runtime. This has worked for a long time, but recent improvements in PREEMPT_RT and PROVE_LOCKING have highlighted an issue. As the TMU registers itself as a clockevent provider, clockevents_register_device(), it needs to use raw spinlocks internally as this is the context of which the clockevent framework interacts with the TMU driver. However in the context of holding a raw spinlock the TMU driver can't really manage its power state or clock with calls to pm_runtime_*() and clk_*() as these calls end up in other platform drivers using regular spinlocks to control power and clocks. This mix of spinlock contexts trips a lockdep warning. ============================= [ BUG: Invalid wait context ] 6.18.0-arm64-renesas-09926-gee959e7c5e34 #1 Not tainted ----------------------------- swapper/0/0 is trying to lock: ffff000008c9e180 (&dev->power.lock){-...}-{3:3}, at: __pm_runtime_resume+0x38/0x88 other info that might help us debug this: context-{5:5} 1 lock held by swapper/0/0: ccree e6601000.crypto: ARM CryptoCell 630P Driver: HW version 0xAF400001/0xDCC63000, Driver version 5.0 #0: ffff8000817ec298 ccree e6601000.crypto: ARM ccree device initialized (tick_broadcast_lock){-...}-{2:2}, at: __tick_broadcast_oneshot_control+0xa4/0x3a8 stack backtrace: CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 0 Comm: swapper/0 Not tainted 6.18.0-arm64-renesas-09926-gee959e7c5e34 #1 PREEMPT Hardware name: Renesas Salvator-X 2nd version board based on r8a77965 (DT) Call trace: show_stack+0x14/0x1c (C) dump_stack_lvl+0x6c/0x90 dump_stack+0x14/0x1c __lock_acquire+0x904/0x1584 lock_acquire+0x220/0x34c _raw_spin_lock_irqsave+0x58/0x80 __pm_runtime_resume+0x38/0x88 sh_tmu_clock_event_set_oneshot+0x84/0xd4 clockevents_switch_state+0xfc/0x13c tick_broadcast_set_event+0x30/0xa4 __tick_broadcast_oneshot_control+0x1e0/0x3a8 tick_broadcast_oneshot_control+0x30/0x40 cpuidle_enter_state+0x40c/0x680 cpuidle_enter+0x30/0x40 do_idle+0x1f4/0x280 cpu_startup_entry+0x34/0x40 kernel_init+0x0/0x130 do_one_initcall+0x0/0x230 __primary_switched+0x88/0x90 For non-PREEMPT_RT builds this is not really an issue, but for PREEMPT_RT builds where normal spinlocks can sleep this might be an issue. CVE-2026-43268 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hfsplus: pretend special inodes as regular files Since commit af153bb63a33 ("vfs: catch invalid modes in may_open()") requires any inode be one of S_IFDIR/S_IFLNK/S_IFREG/S_IFCHR/S_IFBLK/ S_IFIFO/S_IFSOCK type, use S_IFREG for special inodes.
CVE-2026-43132 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-verity: correctly handle dm_bufio_client_create() failure If either of the calls to dm_bufio_client_create() in verity_fec_ctr() fails, then dm_bufio_client_destroy() is later called with an ERR_PTR() argument. That causes a crash. Fix this.
CVE-2026-43266 1 Linux 2 Kernel, Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: EFI/CPER: don't go past the ARM processor CPER record buffer There's a logic inside GHES/CPER to detect if the section_length is too small, but it doesn't detect if it is too big. Currently, if the firmware receives an ARM processor CPER record stating that a section length is big, kernel will blindly trust section_length, producing a very long dump. For instance, a 67 bytes record with ERR_INFO_NUM set 46198 and section length set to 854918320 would dump a lot of data going a way past the firmware memory-mapped area. Fix it by adding a logic to prevent it to go past the buffer if ERR_INFO_NUM is too big, making it report instead: [Hardware Error]: Hardware error from APEI Generic Hardware Error Source: 1 [Hardware Error]: event severity: recoverable [Hardware Error]: Error 0, type: recoverable [Hardware Error]: section_type: ARM processor error [Hardware Error]: MIDR: 0xff304b2f8476870a [Hardware Error]: section length: 854918320, CPER size: 67 [Hardware Error]: section length is too big [Hardware Error]: firmware-generated error record is incorrect [Hardware Error]: ERR_INFO_NUM is 46198 [ rjw: Subject and changelog tweaks ]
CVE-2026-43261 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64: Add support for TSV110 Spectre-BHB mitigation The TSV110 processor is vulnerable to the Spectre-BHB (Branch History Buffer) attack, which can be exploited to leak information through branch prediction side channels. This commit adds the MIDR of TSV110 to the list for software mitigation.
CVE-2026-43265 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86: Ignore -EBUSY when checking nested events from vcpu_block() Ignore -EBUSY when checking nested events after exiting a blocking state while L2 is active, as exiting to userspace will generate a spurious userspace exit, usually with KVM_EXIT_UNKNOWN, and likely lead to the VM's demise. Continuing with the wakeup isn't perfect either, as *something* has gone sideways if a vCPU is awakened in L2 with an injected event (or worse, a nested run pending), but continuing on gives the VM a decent chance of surviving without any major side effects. As explained in the Fixes commits, it _should_ be impossible for a vCPU to be put into a blocking state with an already-injected event (exception, IRQ, or NMI). Unfortunately, userspace can stuff MP_STATE and/or injected events, and thus put the vCPU into what should be an impossible state. Don't bother trying to preserve the WARN, e.g. with an anti-syzkaller Kconfig, as WARNs can (hopefully) be added in paths where _KVM_ would be violating x86 architecture, e.g. by WARNing if KVM attempts to inject an exception or interrupt while the vCPU isn't running.

CVE-2026-43277 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: APEI/GHES: ensure that won't go past CPER allocated record The logic at ghes_new() prevents allocating too large records, by checking if they're bigger than GHES_ESTATUS_MAX_SIZE (currently, 64KB). Yet, the allocation is done with the actual number of pages from the CPER bios table location, which can be smaller. Yet, a bad firmware could send data with a different size, which might be bigger than the allocated memory, causing an OOPS: Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address fff00000f9b40000 Mem abort info: ESR = 0x0000000096000007 EC = 0x25: DABT (current EL), IL = 32 bits SET = 0, FnV = 0 EA = 0, S1PTW = 0 FSC = 0x07: level 3 translation fault Data abort info: ISV = 0, ISS = 0x00000007, ISS2 = 0x00000000 CM = 0, WnR = 0, TnD = 0, TagAccess = 0 GCS = 0, Overlay = 0, DirtyBit = 0, Xs = 0 swapper pgtable: 4k pages, 52-bit VAs, pgdp=000000008ba16000 [fff00000f9b40000] pgd=180000013ffff403, p4d=180000013fffe403, pud=180000013f85b403, pmd=180000013f68d403, pte=0000000000000000 Internal error: Oops: 0000000096000007 [#1] SMP Modules linked in: CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 303 Comm: kworker/0:1 Not tainted 6.19.0-rc1-00002-gda407d200220 #34 PREEMPT Hardware name: QEMU QEMU Virtual Machine, BIOS unknown 02/02/2022 Workqueue: kacpi_notify acpi_os_execute_deferred pstate: 214020c5 (nzCv daIF +PAN -UAO -TCO +DIT -SSBS BTYPE=--) pc : hex_dump_to_buffer+0x30c/0x4a0 lr : hex_dump_to_buffer+0x328/0x4a0 sp : ffff800080e13880 x29: ffff800080e13880 x28: ffffac9aba86f6a8 x27: 0000000000000083 x26: fff00000f9b3fffc x25: 0000000000000004 x24: 0000000000000004 x23: ffff800080e13905 x22: 0000000000000010 x21: 0000000000000083 x20: 0000000000000001 x19: 0000000000000008 x18: 0000000000000010 x17: 0000000000000001 x16: 00000007c7f20fec x15: 0000000000000020 x14: 0000000000000008 x13: 0000000000081020 x12: 0000000000000008 x11: ffff800080e13905 x10: ffff800080e13988 x9 : 0000000000000000 x8 : 0000000000000000 x7 : 0000000000000001 x6 : 0000000000000020 x5 : 0000000000000030 x4 : 00000000fffffffe x3 : 0000000000000000 x2 : ffffac9aba78c1c8 x1 : ffffac9aba76d0a8 x0 : 0000000000000008 Call trace: hex_dump_to_buffer+0x30c/0x4a0 (P) print_hex_dump+0xac/0x170 cper_estatus_print_section+0x90c/0x968 cper_estatus_print+0xf0/0x158 __ghes_print_estatus+0xa0/0x148 ghes_proc+0x1bc/0x220 ghes_notify_hed+0x5c/0xb8 notifier_call_chain+0x78/0x148 blocking_notifier_call_chain+0x4c/0x80 acpi_hed_notify+0x28/0x40 acpi_ev_notify_dispatch+0x50/0x80 acpi_os_execute_deferred+0x24/0x48 process_one_work+0x15c/0x3b0 worker_thread+0x2d0/0x400 kthread+0x148/0x228 ret_from_fork+0x10/0x20 Code: 6b14033f 540001ad a94707e2 f100029f (b8747b44) ---[ end trace 0000000000000000 ]--- Prevent that by taking the actual allocated are into account when checking for CPER length. CVE-2026-43283 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ethernet: ec_bhf: Fix dma_free_coherent() dma handle dma_free_coherent() in error path takes priv->rx_buf.alloc_len as the dma handle. This would lead to improper unmapping of the buffer. Change the dma handle to priv->rx_buf.alloc_phys.
CVE-2026-43044 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: caam - fix DMA corruption on long hmac keys When a key longer than block size is supplied, it is copied and then hashed into the real key. The memory allocated for the copy needs to be rounded to DMA cache alignment, as otherwise the hashed key may corrupt neighbouring memory. The rounding was performed, but never actually used for the allocation. Fix this by replacing kmemdup with kmalloc for a larger buffer, followed by memcpy.
CVE-2026-31754 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: cdns3: gadget: fix state inconsistency on gadget init failure When cdns3_gadget_start() fails, the DRD hardware is left in gadget mode while software state remains INACTIVE, creating hardware/software state inconsistency. When switching to host mode via sysfs: echo host > /sys/class/usb_role/13180000.usb-role-switch/role The role state is not set to CDNS_ROLE_STATE_ACTIVE due to the error, so cdns_role_stop() skips cleanup because state is still INACTIVE. This violates the DRD controller design specification (Figure22), which requires returning to idle state before switching roles. This leads to a synchronous external abort in xhci_gen_setup() when setting up the host controller: [ 516.440698] configfs-gadget 13180000.usb: failed to start g1: -19 [ 516.442035] cdns-usb3 13180000.usb: Failed to add gadget [ 516.443278] cdns-usb3 13180000.usb: set role 2 has failed ... CVE-2026-43030 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix regsafe() for pointers to packet In case rold->reg->range == BEYOND_PKT_END && rcur->reg->range == N regsafe() may return true which may lead to current state with valid packet range not being explored. Fix the bug.
CVE-2026-43028 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: x_tables: ensure names are nul-terminated Reject names that lack a \0 character before feeding them to functions that expect c-strings. Fixes tag is the most recent commit that needs this change.
CVE-2026-43026 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ctnetlink: zero expect NAT fields when CTA_EXPECT_NAT absent ctnetlink_alloc_expect() allocates expectations from a non-zeroing slab cache via nf_ct_expect_alloc(). When CTA_EXPECT_NAT is not present in the netlink message, saved_addr and saved_proto are never initialized. Stale data from a previous slab occupant can then be dumped to userspace by ctnetlink_exp_dump_expect(), which checks these fields to decide whether to emit CTA_EXPECT_NAT. The safe sibling nf_ct_expect_init(), used by the packet path, explicitly zeroes these fields. Zero saved_addr, saved_proto and dir in the else branch, guarded by IS_ENABLED(CONFIG_NF_NAT) since these fields only exist when NAT is enabled. Confirmed by priming the expect slab with NAT-bearing expectations, freeing them, creating a new expectation without CTA_EXPECT_NAT, and observing that the ctnetlink dump emits a spurious CTA_EXPECT_NAT containing stale data from the prior allocation.
CVE-2026-43024 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: reject immediate NF_QUEUE verdict nft_queue is always used from userspace nftables to deliver the NF_QUEUE verdict. Immediately emitting an NF_QUEUE verdict is never used by the userspace nft tools, so reject immediate NF_QUEUE verdicts. The arp family does not provide queue support, but such an immediate verdict is still reachable. Globally reject NF_QUEUE immediate verdicts to address this issue.
CVE-2026-31763 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: gyro: mpu3050: Fix incorrect free_irq() variable The handler for the IRQ part of this driver is mpu3050->trig but, in the teardown free_irq() is called with handler mpu3050. Use correct IRQ handler when calling free_irq().
CVE-2026-43130 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/vt-d: Flush dev-IOTLB only when PCIe device is accessible in scalable mode Commit 4fc82cd907ac ("iommu/vt-d: Don't issue ATS Invalidation request when device is disconnected") relies on pci_dev_is_disconnected() to skip ATS invalidation for safely-removed devices, but it does not cover link-down caused by faults, which can still hard-lock the system. For example, if a VM fails to connect to the PCIe device, "virsh destroy" is executed to release resources and isolate the fault, but a hard-lockup occurs while releasing the group fd. Call Trace: qi_submit_sync qi_flush_dev_iotlb intel_pasid_tear_down_entry device_block_translation blocking_domain_attach_dev __iommu_attach_device __iommu_device_set_domain __iommu_group_set_domain_internal iommu_detach_group vfio_iommu_type1_detach_group vfio_group_detach_container vfio_group_fops_release __fput Although pci_device_is_present() is slower than pci_dev_is_disconnected(), it still takes only ~70 µs on a ConnectX-5 (8 GT/s, x2) and becomes even faster as PCIe speed and width increase. Besides, devtlb_invalidation_with_pasid() is called only in the paths below, which are far less frequent than memory map/unmap. 1. mm-struct release 2. {attach,release}_dev 3. set/remove PASID 4. dirty-tracking setup The gain in system stability far outweighs the negligible cost of using pci_device_is_present() instead of pci_dev_is_disconnected() to decide when to skip ATS invalidation, especially under GDR high-load conditions.
CVE-2026-43133 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 7.9 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: nSVM: Always use vmcb01 in VMLOAD/VMSAVE emulation Commit cc3ed80ae69f ("KVM: nSVM: always use vmcb01 to for vmsave/vmload of guest state") made KVM always use vmcb01 for the fields controlled by VMSAVE/VMLOAD, but it missed updating the VMLOAD/VMSAVE emulation code to always use vmcb01. As a result, if VMSAVE/VMLOAD is executed by an L2 guest and is not intercepted by L1, KVM will mistakenly use vmcb02. Always use vmcb01 instead of the current VMCB.
CVE-2026-43017 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: MGMT: validate mesh send advertising payload length mesh_send() currently bounds MGMT_OP_MESH_SEND by total command length, but it never verifies that the bytes supplied for the flexible adv_data[] array actually match the embedded adv_data_len field. MGMT_MESH_SEND_SIZE only covers the fixed header, so a truncated command can still pass the existing 20..50 byte range check and later drive the async mesh send path past the end of the queued command buffer. Keep rejecting zero-length and oversized advertising payloads, but validate adv_data_len explicitly and require the command length to exactly match the flexible array size before queueing the request.
