| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: SEV: Use READ_ONCE() when reading entries/indices from PSC buffer
Use READ_ONCE() when reading entries/indices from the guest-accessible
Page State Change buffer to defend against TOCTOU bugs.
Don't bother with READ_ONCE()/WRITE_ONCE() for cases where KVM is writing
(and not consuming the result!), as the guest isn't supposed to touch the
buffer while it's being processed. I.e. using READ_ONCE() is all about
protecting against misbehaving guests. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
sctp: fix race between sctp_wait_for_connect and peeloff
sctp_wait_for_connect() drops and re-acquires the socket lock while
waiting for the association to reach ESTABLISHED state. During this
window, another thread can peeloff the association to a new socket via
getsockopt(SCTP_SOCKOPT_PEELOFF), changing asoc->base.sk. After
re-acquiring the old socket lock, sctp_wait_for_connect() returns
success without noticing the migration — the caller then accesses
the association under the wrong lock in sctp_datamsg_from_user().
Add the same sk != asoc->base.sk check that sctp_wait_for_sndbuf()
already has, returning an error if the association was migrated while
we slept. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: shaper: rework the VALID marking (again)
Recent commit changed the semantics from NOT_VALID to VALID.
I didn't realize that the flags are not stored atomically
with the entry in XArray. There's still a race of reader
observing a VALID mark for a slot, getting interrupted,
writer replacing the entry with a different one, reader
continuing, fetching the entry which is now a different
pointer than the pointer for which VALID was meant.
The biggest consequence of this is that we may see a UAF
since net_shaper_rollback() assumed that entries without
VALID can be freed without observing RCU.
Looks like the XArray marks are buying us nothing at this
point. Let's convert the code to an explicit valid field.
The smp_load_acquire() / smp_store_release() barriers are
marginally cleaner. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dma-buf: fix UAF in dma_buf_fd() tracepoint
Once FD_ADD() returns, the fd is live in the file descriptor table
and a thread sharing that table can close() it before DMA_BUF_TRACE()
runs. The close drops the last reference, __fput() frees the dma_buf,
and the tracepoint then dereferences dmabuf to take dmabuf->name_lock
-- slab-use-after-free.
Split FD_ADD() back into get_unused_fd_flags() + fd_install() and
emit the tracepoint between them. While the fdtable slot is reserved
with a NULL file pointer, a racing close() returns -EBADF without
entering __fput(), so the dma_buf stays alive across the trace. Same
approach as commit 2d76319c4cbb ("dma-buf: fix UAF in dma_buf_put()
tracepoint").
This undoes the FD_ADD() conversion done in commit 34dfce523c90
("dma: convert dma_buf_fd() to FD_ADD()"); FD_ADD() has no place to
hook the tracepoint safely. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: mana: Fix TOCTOU double-fetch of hwc_msg_id from DMA buffer
In mana_hwc_rx_event_handler(), resp->response.hwc_msg_id is read from
DMA-coherent memory and bounds-checked, then mana_hwc_handle_resp()
re-reads the same field from the same DMA buffer for test_bit() and
pointer arithmetic.
DMA-coherent memory is mapped uncacheable on x86 and is shared,
unencrypted, in Confidential VMs (SEV-SNP/TDX), so each load goes
directly to host-visible memory. A H/W can modify the value
between the check and the use, bypassing the bounds validation.
Fix this by reading hwc_msg_id exactly once using READ_ONCE() into a
stack-local variable in mana_hwc_rx_event_handler(), and passing the
validated value as a parameter to mana_hwc_handle_resp(). |
| Time-of-check Time-of-use (TOCTOU) race condition vulnerability in Erlang/OTP ssl (dtls_packet_demux module) allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to crash all active DTLS sessions on a listener.
A DTLS server listener uses a single shared dtls_packet_demux gen_server process to route incoming UDP datagrams to the correct connection handler. When a DTLS client reconnects rapidly from the same source address and port (sending multiple ClientHello messages in quick succession), a race condition in the demux's internal gb_trees key-value store causes a {key_exists, {old, Client}} crash, terminating the demux process. Because the demux is shared across all DTLS associations on that listener, its crash immediately kills every active DTLS session, not just the attacker's.
The attack is pre-authentication: the attacker only needs to send UDP datagrams containing valid ClientHello messages from the same source IP and port before the intermediate DOWN monitor message is processed by the gen_server. No credentials, no completed handshake, and no special configuration are required, and the crash can be repeated indefinitely to create a persistent denial of service for all clients of that listener.
This vulnerability is associated with program file lib/ssl/src/dtls_packet_demux.erl.
This issue affects OTP from OTP 25.3 before OTP 29.0.3, OTP 28.5.0.3 and OTP 27.3.4.14, corresponding to ssl from 10.9 before 11.7.3, 11.6.0.3 and 11.2.12.10. |
| A vulnerability was identified in Sipeed PicoClaw up to 0.2.9. The impacted element is the function ExecTool.executeRun of the file pkg/agent/pipeline_execute.go. The manipulation of the argument cwe leads to time-of-check time-of-use. The attack must be carried out locally. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. The reported GitHub issue was closed automatically with the label "not planned" by a bot. |
| n8n before 1.123.64, 2.29.8, and 2.30.1 contains a TOCTOU race condition in the Git node's clone operation that allows authenticated users to bypass path restrictions by swapping a directory for a symlink after the path is validated but before the clone runs. This lets an attacker plant a crafted repository in the community node directory, which n8n loads as a custom node on the next restart, executing arbitrary JavaScript on the server. Both self-hosted and cloud instances are affected. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
parport: Fix race between port and client registration
The parport subsystem registers port devices before they are fully
initialised, resulting in a race condition where client drivers such
as lp can attach to ports that are not completely initialised or even
being torn down.
When the port and client drivers are built as modules and loaded
around the same time during boot, this occasionally results in a
crash. I was able to make this happen reliably in a VM with a
PC-style parallel port by patching parport_pc to fail probing:
> --- a/drivers/parport/parport_pc.c
> +++ b/drivers/parport/parport_pc.c
> @@ -2069,7 +2069,7 @@ static struct parport *__parport_pc_probe_port(unsigned long int base,
> if (!p)
> goto out3;
>
> - base_res = request_region(base, 3, p->name);
> + base_res = NULL;
> if (!base_res)
> goto out4;
>
and then running:
while true; do
modprobe lp & modprobe parport_pc
wait

for a few seconds.
In the long term I think port registration should be changed to put
the call to device_add() inside parport_announce_port(), but since the
latter currently cannot fail this will require changing all port
drivers.
For now, add a flag to indicate whether a port has been "announced"
and only try to attach client drivers to ports when the flag is set. |
| Statamic is a Laravel and Git powered content management system (CMS). Prior to 5.73.24 and 6.20.1, the Glide image proxy's URL validation in src/Imaging/RemoteUrlValidator.php and src/Imaging/GuzzleAdapter.php could be bypassed using DNS rebinding. The remote hostname was validated as publicly routable, but resolved again when the image was actually fetched, so an attacker controlling the hostname's DNS could rebind it to an internal address after validation and cause the server to make HTTP requests to internal addresses, including loopback, private network, and cloud metadata endpoints. This affects sites that pass user-supplied URLs to Glide. This issue is fixed in versions 5.73.24 and 6.20.1. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
afs: Fix the locking used by afs_get_link()
The afs filesystem in the kernel doesn't do locking correctly for symbolic
links. There are a number of problems:
(1) It doesn't do any locking around afs_read_single() to prevent races
between multiple ->get_link() calls, thereby allowing the possibility
of leaks.
(2) It doesn't use RCU barriering when accessing the buffer pointers
during RCU pathwalk.
(3) It can race with another thread updating the contents of the symlink
if a third party updated it on the server.
Fix this by the following means:
(0) Move symlink handling into its own file as this makes it more
complicated.
(1) Take the validate_lock around afs_read_single() to prevent races
between multiple ->get_link() calls.
(2) Keep a separate copy of the symlink contents with an rcu_head. This
is always going to be a lot smaller than a page, so it can be
kmalloc'd and save quite a bit of memory. It also needs a refcount
for non-RCU pathwalk.
(3) Split the symlink read and write-to-cache routines in afs from those
for directories.
(4) Discard the I/O buffer as soon as the write-to-cache completes as this
is a full page (plus a folio_queue).
(5) If there's no cache, discard the I/O buffer immediately after reading
and copying if there is no cache. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Revert "f2fs: remove non-uptodate folio from the page cache in move_data_block"
This reverts commit 9609dd704725a40cd63d915f2ab6c44248a44598.
The kernel panics are keeping to be reported especially when the f2fs
partition get almost full. By investigation, we find that the reason is
one f2fs page got freed to buddy without being deleted from LRU and the
root cause is the race happened in [2] which is enrolled by this commit.
There are 3 race processes in this scenario, please find below for their
main activities.
The changed code in move_data_block() lets the GC path evict the tail-end
folio from the page cache through folio_end_dropbehind(). Once
folio_unmap_invalidate() removes the folio from mapping->i_pages, the
page-cache references for all pages in the folio are dropped. The folio
is then kept alive only by temporary external references, which allows a
later split to operate on a folio whose subpages are no longer protected
by page-cache references.
After the page-cache references are gone, split_folio_to_order() can
split the big folio into individual pages and put the resulting subpages
back on the LRU. For tail pages beyond EOF, split removes them from the
page cache and drops their page-cache references. A tail page can then
remain on the LRU with PG_lru set while holding only the split caller's
temporary reference. When free_folio_and_swap_cache() drops that final
reference, the page enters the final folio_put() release path.
In parallel, folio_isolate_lru() can observe the same tail page with a
non-zero refcount and PG_lru set. It clears PG_lru before taking its own
reference. If this races with the final folio_put() from the split path,
__folio_put() sees PG_lru already cleared and skips lruvec_del_folio().
The page is then freed back to the allocator while its lru links are
still present in the LRU list. A later LRU operation on a neighboring
page detects the stale link and reports list corruption.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
f2fs: fix fsck inconsistency caused by incorrect nat_entry flag usage
f2fs_need_dentry_mark() reads nat_entry flags without mutual exclusion
with the checkpoint path, which can result in an incorrect inode block
marking state. The scenario is as follows:
create & write & fsync 'file A' write checkpoint
- f2fs_do_sync_file // inline inode
- f2fs_write_inode // inode folio is dirty
- f2fs_write_checkpoint
- f2fs_flush_merged_writes
- f2fs_sync_node_pages
- f2fs_fsync_node_pages // no dirty node
- f2fs_need_inode_block_update // return true
- f2fs_fsync_node_pages // inode dirtied
- f2fs_need_dentry_mark //return true
- f2fs_flush_nat_entries
- f2fs_write_checkpoint end
- __write_node_folio // inode with DENT_BIT_SHIFT set
SPO, "fsck --dry-run" find inode has already checkpointed but still
with DENT_BIT_SHIFT set
The state observed by f2fs_need_dentry_mark() can differ from the state
observed in __write_node_folio() after acquiring sbi->node_write. The
root cause is that the semantics of IS_CHECKPOINTED and
HAS_FSYNCED_INODE are only guaranteed after the checkpoint write has
fully completed.
This patch moves set_dentry_mark() into __write_node_folio() and
protects it with the sbi->node_write lock. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfs: Fix streaming write being overwritten
In order to avoid reading whilst writing, netfslib will allow "streaming
writes" in which dirty data is stored directly into folios without reading
them first. Such folios are marked dirty but may not be marked uptodate.
If a folio is entirely written by a streaming write, uptodate will be set,
otherwise it will have a netfs_folio struct attached to ->private recording
the dirty region.
In the event that a partially written streaming write page is to be
overwritten entirely by a single write(), netfs_perform_write() will try to
copy over it, but doesn't discard the netfs_folio if it succeeds; further,
it doesn't correctly handle a partial copy that overwrites some of the
dirty data.
Fix this by the following:
(1) If the folio is successfully overwritten, free the netfs_folio struct
before marking the page uptodate.
(2) If the copy to the folio partially fails, but short of the dirty data,
just ignore the copy.
(3) If the copy partially fails and overwrites some of the dirty data,
accept the copy, update the netfs_folio struct to record the new data.
If the folio is now filled, free the netfs_folio and set uptodate,
otherwise return a partial write.

| OpenClaw before 2026.5.28 contains a race condition in the MS Teams safeFetch DNS rebinding check. When the affected feature is enabled and reachable, a lower-trust caller or configured input path could win a timing window between the DNS validation check and use, allowing actions that should have required a stronger authorization or policy check. Practical impact depends on the operator's configuration and whether lower-trust input can reach that path. |
