CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nfnetlink_log: fix uninitialized padding leak in NFULA_PAYLOAD
__build_packet_message() manually constructs the NFULA_PAYLOAD netlink
attribute using skb_put() and skb_copy_bits(), bypassing the standard
nla_reserve()/nla_put() helpers. While nla_total_size(data_len) bytes
are allocated (including NLA alignment padding), only data_len bytes
of actual packet data are copied. The trailing nla_padlen(data_len)
bytes (1-3 when data_len is not 4-byte aligned) are never initialized,
leaking stale heap contents to userspace via the NFLOG netlink socket.
Replace the manual attribute construction with nla_reserve(), which
handles the tailroom check, header setup, and padding zeroing via
__nla_reserve(). The subsequent skb_copy_bits() fills in the payload
data on top of the properly initialized attribute. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
comedi: Reinit dev->spinlock between attachments to low-level drivers
`struct comedi_device` is the main controlling structure for a COMEDI
device created by the COMEDI subsystem. It contains a member `spinlock`
containing a spin-lock that is initialized by the COMEDI subsystem, but
is reserved for use by a low-level driver attached to the COMEDI device
(at least since commit 25436dc9d84f ("Staging: comedi: remove RT
code")).
Some COMEDI devices (those created on initialization of the COMEDI
subsystem when the "comedi.comedi_num_legacy_minors" parameter is
non-zero) can be attached to different low-level drivers over their
lifetime using the `COMEDI_DEVCONFIG` ioctl command. This can result in
inconsistent lock states being reported when there is a mismatch in the
spin-lock locking levels used by each low-level driver to which the
COMEDI device has been attached. Fix it by reinitializing
`dev->spinlock` before calling the low-level driver's `attach` function
pointer if `CONFIG_LOCKDEP` is enabled. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: nfc: nci: Fix parameter validation for packet data
Since commit 9c328f54741b ("net: nfc: nci: Add parameter validation for
packet data") communication with nci nfc chips is not working any more.
The mentioned commit tries to fix access of uninitialized data, but
failed to understand that in some cases the data packet is of variable
length and can therefore not be compared to the maximum packet length
given by the sizeof(struct). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xfrm6: fix uninitialized saddr in xfrm6_get_saddr()
xfrm6_get_saddr() does not check the return value of
ipv6_dev_get_saddr(). When ipv6_dev_get_saddr() fails to find a suitable
source address (returns -EADDRNOTAVAIL), saddr->in6 is left
uninitialized, but xfrm6_get_saddr() still returns 0 (success).
This causes the caller xfrm_tmpl_resolve_one() to use the uninitialized
address in xfrm_state_find(), triggering KMSAN warning:

Fix by checking the return value of ipv6_dev_get_saddr() and propagating
the error. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rnbd-srv: Zero the rsp buffer before using it
Before using the data buffer to send back the response message, zero it
completely. This prevents any stray bytes to be picked up by the client
side when there the message is exchanged between different protocol
versions. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: ipv6: ndisc: fix ndisc_ra_useropt to initialize nduseropt_padX fields to zero to prevent an info-leak
When processing Router Advertisements with user options the kernel
builds an RTM_NEWNDUSEROPT netlink message. The nduseroptmsg struct
has three padding fields that are never zeroed and can leak kernel data
The fix is simple, just zeroes the padding fields. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: use skb_header_pointer() for TCPv4 GSO frag_off check
Syzbot reported a KMSAN uninit-value warning in gso_features_check()
called from netif_skb_features() [1].
gso_features_check() reads iph->frag_off to decide whether to clear
mangleid_features. Accessing the IPv4 header via ip_hdr()/inner_ip_hdr()
can rely on skb header offsets that are not always safe for direct
dereference on packets injected from PF_PACKET paths.
Use skb_header_pointer() for the TCPv4 frag_off check so the header read
is robust whether data is already linear or needs copying.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: sched: cls_api: fix tc_chain_fill_node to initialize tcm_info to zero to prevent an info-leak
When building netlink messages, tc_chain_fill_node() never initializes
the tcm_info field of struct tcmsg. Since the allocation is not zeroed,
kernel heap memory is leaked to userspace through this 4-byte field.
The fix simply zeroes tcm_info alongside the other fields that are
already initialized. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/irdma: Initialize free_qp completion before using it
In irdma_create_qp, if ib_copy_to_udata fails, it will call
irdma_destroy_qp to clean up which will attempt to wait on
the free_qp completion, which is not initialized yet. Fix this
by initializing the completion before the ib_copy_to_udata call. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
s390/entry: Scrub r12 register on kernel entry
Before commit f33f2d4c7c80 ("s390/bp: remove TIF_ISOLATE_BP"),
all entry handlers loaded r12 with the current task pointer
(lg %r12,__LC_CURRENT) for use by the BPENTER/BPEXIT macros. That
commit removed TIF_ISOLATE_BP, dropping both the branch prediction
macros and the r12 load, but did not add r12 to the register clearing
sequence.
Add the missing xgr %r12,%r12 to make the register scrub consistent
across all entry points. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xfrm_user: fix info leak in build_report()
struct xfrm_user_report is a __u8 proto field followed by a struct
xfrm_selector which means there is three "empty" bytes of padding, but
the padding is never zeroed before copying to userspace. Fix that up by
zeroing the structure before setting individual member variables. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
can: bcm: fix locking for bcm_op runtime updates
Commit c2aba69d0c36 ("can: bcm: add locking for bcm_op runtime updates")
added a locking for some variables that can be modified at runtime when
updating the sending bcm_op with a new TX_SETUP command in bcm_tx_setup().
Usually the RX_SETUP only handles and filters incoming traffic with one
exception: When the RX_RTR_FRAME flag is set a predefined CAN frame is
sent when a specific RTR frame is received. Therefore the rx bcm_op uses
bcm_can_tx() which uses the bcm_tx_lock that was only initialized in
bcm_tx_setup(). Add the missing spin_lock_init() when allocating the
bcm_op in bcm_rx_setup() to handle the RTR case properly. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/irdma: Fix kernel stack leak in irdma_create_user_ah()
struct irdma_create_ah_resp { // 8 bytes, no padding
__u32 ah_id; // offset 0 - SET (uresp.ah_id = ah->sc_ah.ah_info.ah_idx)
__u8 rsvd[4]; // offset 4 - NEVER SET <- LEAK
};
rsvd[4]: 4 bytes of stack memory leaked unconditionally. Only ah_id is assigned before ib_respond_udata().
The reserved members of the structure were not zeroed. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/vmwgfx: Return the correct value in vmw_translate_ptr functions
Before the referenced fixes these functions used a lookup function that
returned a pointer. This was changed to another lookup function that
returned an error code with the pointer becoming an out parameter.
The error path when the lookup failed was not changed to reflect this
change and the code continued to return the PTR_ERR of the now
uninitialized pointer. This could cause the vmw_translate_ptr functions
to return success when they actually failed causing further uninitialized
and OOB accesses. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: mctp: Don't access ifa_index when missing
In mctp_dump_addrinfo, ifa_index can be used to filter interfaces, but
only when the struct ifaddrmsg is provided. Otherwise it will be
comparing to uninitialised memory - reproducible in the syzkaller case from
dhcpd, or busybox "ip addr show".
The kernel MCTP implementation has always filtered by ifa_index, so
existing userspace programs expecting to dump MCTP addresses must
already be passing a valid ifa_index value (either 0 or a real index).

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
interconnect: debugfs: initialize src_node and dst_node to empty strings
The debugfs_create_str() API assumes that the string pointer is either NULL
or points to valid kmalloc() memory. Leaving the pointer uninitialized can
cause problems.
Initialize src_node and dst_node to empty strings before creating the
debugfs entries to guarantee that reads and writes are safe. |
| Moonraker is a Python web server providing API access to Klipper 3D printing firmware. In versions 0.9.3 and below, instances configured with the "ldap" component enabled are vulnerable to LDAP search filter injection techniques via the login endpoint. The 401 error response message can be used to determine whether or not a search was successful, allowing for brute force methods to discover LDAP entries on the server such as user IDs and user attributes. This issue has been fixed in version 0.10.0. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
block: zero non-PI portion of auto integrity buffer
The auto-generated integrity buffer for writes needs to be fully
initialized before being passed to the underlying block device,
otherwise the uninitialized memory can be read back by userspace or
anyone with physical access to the storage device. If protection
information is generated, that portion of the integrity buffer is
already initialized. The integrity data is also zeroed if PI generation
is disabled via sysfs or the PI tuple size is 0. However, this misses
the case where PI is generated and the PI tuple size is nonzero, but the
metadata size is larger than the PI tuple. In this case, the remainder
("opaque") of the metadata is left uninitialized.
Generalize the BLK_INTEGRITY_CSUM_NONE check to cover any case when the
metadata is larger than just the PI tuple. |
| The TRMTracker web application is vulnerable to LDAP injection attack potentially allowing an attacker to inject code into a query and execute remote commands that can read and update data on the website. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: cfg80211: init wiphy_work before allocating rfkill fails
syzbort reported a uninitialize wiphy_work_lock in cfg80211_dev_free. [1]
After rfkill allocation fails, the wiphy release process will be performed,
which will cause cfg80211_dev_free to access the uninitialized wiphy_work
related data.
Move the initialization of wiphy_work to before rfkill initialization to
avoid this issue.
