CVSS v3.1 |
In Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M9, 8.5.0 to 8.5.4, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.36, 7.0.0 to 7.0.70 and 6.0.0 to 6.0.45 a malicious web application was able to bypass a configured SecurityManager via a Tomcat utility method that was accessible to web applications.
pkexec, when used with --user nonpriv, allows local users to escape to the parent session via a crafted TIOCSTI ioctl call, which pushes characters to the terminal's input buffer.
The Realm implementations in Apache Tomcat versions 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M9, 8.5.0 to 8.5.4, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.36, 7.0.0 to 7.0.70 and 6.0.0 to 6.0.45 did not process the supplied password if the supplied user name did not exist. This made a timing attack possible to determine valid user names. Note that the default configuration includes the LockOutRealm which makes exploitation of this vulnerability harder.
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in jsoup before 1.8.3.
| An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists when Microsoft Exchange Outlook Web Access (OWA) fails to properly handle web requests. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could perform script/content injection attacks and attempt to trick the user into disclosing sensitive information.
To exploit the vulnerability, an attacker could send a specially crafted email message containing a malicious link to a user. Alternatively, an attacker could use a chat client to social engineer a user into clicking the malicious link.
The security update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how Microsoft Exchange validates web requests.
Note: In order to exploit this vulnerability, a user must click a maliciously crafted link from an attacker. |
MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases. From 3.3.0 until 3.5.4, the zero-configuration TLS fingerprint-validation path calls Ed25519PasswordAuth.hash() through Authentication.validateFingerPrint, but Ed25519PasswordAuth.hash() references a seed identifier that is not in scope. Exposure requires a MariaDB server reached over TCP, TLS enabled with ssl: true or an ssl object whose rejectUnauthorized value is not false, a password set, no ssl.ca configured, and client_ed25519 negotiated as the authentication plugin. Under those conditions, a legitimate server, malicious server, or network attacker presenting a self-signed certificate can reach this path and cause a synchronous ReferenceError to escape the socket data handler. Under Node.js default uncaught-exception behavior, the client process terminates, causing denial of service. Configurations using a provided CA, rejectUnauthorized: false, another authentication plugin, or a Unix socket do not reach this vulnerable path. This issue is fixed in version 3.5.4.
An off-by-one error in the BSON bulk document writer in the MongoDB C Driver can write one zero byte immediately past a heap allocation when a document ends at a specific buffer boundary. An actor who can influence the size of documents serialized by an embedding application can corrupt adjacent process memory or terminate the process. Reaching this issue requires the application to use the BSON bulk-writer API and produce a precise cumulative document size.
A flaw was found in the OpenSSH package. For each ping packet the SSH server receives, a pong packet is allocated in a memory buffer and stored in a queue of packages. It is only freed when the server/client key exchange has finished. A malicious client may keep sending such packages, leading to an uncontrolled increase in memory consumption on the server side. Consequently, the server may become unavailable, resulting in a denial of service attack.
Poppler 0.42.0 through 26.10.0 contains a stack-based buffer overflow in Decrypt::revision6Hash() that allows attackers controlling the password to overwrite stack memory when opening AESV3/R6 encrypted PDFs. Attackers can supply a password longer than 127 bytes through applications using the libpoppler, libpoppler-glib or C++ API to overflow the K1 and E buffers, crashing the process or corrupting memory.
MIT krb5 through 1.22.2 contains a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in the KDC's get_pac_princ_with_realm() that returns success while leaving the client principal NULL on malformed names. A malicious or compromised cross-realm trusted KDC can send an S4U2Proxy request with a PAC carrying a malformed client name to crash krb5kdc and deny authentication.
EAP's Artemis deserialization configuration permits deserialization by default. ObjectMessage.getObject() uses ObjectInputStreamWithClassLoader, which implements allow-list/block-list filtering via its checkSecurity()/isTrustedType() method. However, by default both allow-list and block-list are empty. When the allow-list is empty (size == 0), isTrustedType() returns true for ALL classes. This means all classes are deserializable by default.
An out-of-bounds read in SCRAM authentication response parsing in the MongoDB C Driver can read one byte beyond a fixed-size buffer when processing a malformed server-final message. A server or network intermediary able to provide this message before server-signature verification can cause the application using the driver to terminate. The extra byte is not returned through the protocol.
Docker Sandboxes could fail open while masking credentials in protected proxy responses. When a response-body read returned data together with an error, affected handlers could forward unmasked bytes. Code inside an authorized sandbox could use this to recover host-managed OAuth access and refresh tokens or a derived Anthropic API key intended to remain outside the sandbox.
Indico is an event management system that uses Flask-Multipass, a multi-backend authentication system for Flask. Prior to 3.3.13, users who can create content, including speakers who can create minutes, can store crafted HTML in event minutes. When concurrent edits are made to the same minutes, the minute editor conflict UI can execute attacker-controlled script in the viewer's browser in the Indico origin. This issue is fixed in version 3.3.13.
webonyx graphql-php is a PHP implementation of the GraphQL specification. Prior to 15.32.3, GraphQL\Language\Parser performs recursive descent without a recursion limit in parseSelectionSet, parseValueLiteral, and parseTypeReference. A remote attacker can submit deeply nested selection sets, object or list values, or list types that exhaust the PHP process stack during pre-validation parsing, before query validation and complexity controls run. The resulting SIGSEGV can terminate PHP-FPM workers or long-running Swoole, RoadRunner, ReactPHP, or CLI processes and cannot be caught by application-level exception handling. This issue is fixed in version 15.32.3.
FreeScout is a self-hosted help desk and shared mailbox. Prior to 1.8.235, when APP_CLOUDFLARE_IS_USED is enabled, FreeScout trusts an unvalidated CF-Connecting-IP header during failed login attempts and stores the spoofed value in the activity log. LogsMonitor inserts the value into an administrator alert email without HTML escaping, allowing injected HTML to execute when an administrator opens the email. This issue is fixed in version 1.8.235.
IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.0, 12.1, and 12.2 could allow a remote attacker to execute unauthorized SQL statements due to SQL injection.
IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.0, 12.1, and 12.2 could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code due to a buffer overflow.
IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.2.2, and 12.1 could allow a remote attacker to delete arbitrary files due to improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory.
IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.0, 12.1, and 12.2 is vulnerable to SQL injection. A remote unauthenticated attacker could send specially crafted SQL statements, which could allow the attacker to view, add, modify, or delete information in the back-end database.
