CVE-2025-39744 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-01-02 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rcu: Fix rcu_read_unlock() deadloop due to IRQ work During rcu_read_unlock_special(), if this happens during irq_exit(), we can lockup if an IPI is issued. This is because the IPI itself triggers the irq_exit() path causing a recursive lock up. This is precisely what Xiongfeng found when invoking a BPF program on the trace_tick_stop() tracepoint As shown in the trace below. Fix by managing the irq_work state correctly. irq_exit() __irq_exit_rcu() /* in_hardirq() returns false after this */ preempt_count_sub(HARDIRQ_OFFSET) tick_irq_exit() tick_nohz_irq_exit() tick_nohz_stop_sched_tick() trace_tick_stop() /* a bpf prog is hooked on this trace point */ __bpf_trace_tick_stop() bpf_trace_run2() rcu_read_unlock_special() /* will send a IPI to itself */ irq_work_queue_on(&rdp->defer_qs_iw, rdp->cpu); A simple reproducer can also be obtained by doing the following in tick_irq_exit(). It will hang on boot without the patch: static inline void tick_irq_exit(void) { + rcu_read_lock(); + WRITE_ONCE(current->rcu_read_unlock_special.b.need_qs, true); + rcu_read_unlock(); + [neeraj: Apply Frederic's suggested fix for PREEMPT_RT]
CVE-2025-38204 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-01-02 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: fix array-index-out-of-bounds read in add_missing_indices stbl is s8 but it must contain offsets into slot which can go from 0 to 127. Added a bound check for that error and return -EIO if the check fails. Also make jfs_readdir return with error if add_missing_indices returns with an error.
CVE-2025-21993 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-01-02 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iscsi_ibft: Fix UBSAN shift-out-of-bounds warning in ibft_attr_show_nic() When performing an iSCSI boot using IPv6, iscsistart still reads the /sys/firmware/ibft/ethernetX/subnet-mask entry. Since the IPv6 prefix length is 64, this causes the shift exponent to become negative, triggering a UBSAN warning. As the concept of a subnet mask does not apply to IPv6, the value is set to ~0 to suppress the warning message.
CVE-2025-53618 2 Grassroots Dicom Project, Malaterre 2 Grassroots Dicom, Grassroots Dicom 2026-01-02 7.4 High

CVE-2024-23140 1 Autodesk 10 Advance Steel, Autocad, Autocad Architecture and 7 more 2025-12-31 7.8 High
A maliciously crafted 3DM and MODEL file, when parsed in opennurbs.dll and atf_api.dll through Autodesk applications, can force an Out-of-Bound Read. A malicious actor can leverage this vulnerability to cause a crash, read sensitive data, or execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process.
CVE-2025-62862 1 Amperecomputing 27 Ampereone A128-34x, Ampereone A128-34x Firmware, Ampereone A144-24x and 24 more 2025-12-31 4.6 Medium
Ampere AmpereOne AC03 devices before 3.5.9.3, AmpereOne AC04 devices before 4.4.5.2, and AmpereOne M devices before 5.4.5.1 allow an incorrectly formed SMC call to UEFI-MM Boot Error Record Table driver that could result in (1) an out-of-bounds read which leaks Secure-EL0 information to a process running in Non-Secure state or (2) an out-of-bounds write which corrupts Secure or Non-Secure memory, limited to memory mapped to UEFI-MM Secure Partition by the Secure Partition Manager.

CVE-2025-8067 1 Redhat 7 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 4 more 2025-12-23 8.5 High
A flaw was found in the Udisks daemon, where it allows unprivileged users to create loop devices using the D-BUS system. This is achieved via the loop device handler, which handles requests sent through the D-BUS interface. As two of the parameters of this handle, it receives the file descriptor list and index specifying the file where the loop device should be backed. The function itself validates the index value to ensure it isn't bigger than the maximum value allowed. However, it fails to validate the lower bound, allowing the index parameter to be a negative value. Under these circumstances, an attacker can cause the UDisks daemon to crash or perform a local privilege escalation by gaining access to files owned by privileged users.
CVE-2025-38395 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: regulator: gpio: Fix the out-of-bounds access to drvdata::gpiods drvdata::gpiods is supposed to hold an array of 'gpio_desc' pointers. But the memory is allocated for only one pointer. This will lead to out-of-bounds access later in the code if 'config::ngpios' is > 1. So fix the code to allocate enough memory to hold 'config::ngpios' of GPIO descriptors. While at it, also move the check for memory allocation failure to be below the allocation to make it more readable.
CVE-2025-38391 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2025-12-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: altmodes/displayport: do not index invalid pin_assignments A poorly implemented DisplayPort Alt Mode port partner can indicate that its pin assignment capabilities are greater than the maximum value, DP_PIN_ASSIGN_F. In this case, calls to pin_assignment_show will cause a BRK exception due to an out of bounds array access. Prevent for loop in pin_assignment_show from accessing invalid values in pin_assignments by adding DP_PIN_ASSIGN_MAX value in typec_dp.h and using i < DP_PIN_ASSIGN_MAX as a loop condition.
