CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Do not allow deleting local storage in NMI
Currently, local storage may deadlock when deferring freeing selem or
local storage through kfree_rcu(), call_rcu() or call_rcu_tasks_trace()
in NMI or reentrant. Since deleting selem in NMI is an unlikely use
case, partially mitigate it by returning error when calling from
bpf_xxx_storage_delete() helpers in NMI. Note that, it is still possible
to deadlock through reentrant. A full mitigation requires returning
error when irqs_disabled() is true, which, however is too heavy-handed
for bpf_xxx_storage_delete().
The long-term solution requires _nolock versions of call_rcu. Another
possible solution is to defer the free through irq_work [0], but it
would grow the size of selem, which is non-ideal.
The check is only needed in bpf_selem_unlink(), which is used by helpers
and syscalls. bpf_selem_unlink_nofail() is fine as it is called during
map and owner tear down that never run in NMI or reentrant.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ptp: ocp: fix resource freeing order
Commit a60fc3294a37 ("ptp: rework ptp_clock_unregister() to disable
events") added a call to ptp_disable_all_events() which changes the
configuration of pins if they support EXTTS events. In ptp_ocp_detach()
pins resources are freed before ptp_clock_unregister() and it leads to
use-after-free during driver removal. Fix it by changing the order of
free/unregister calls. To avoid irq handler running on the other core
while ptp device unregistering, call synchronize_irq() after HW is
configured to stop producing irqs and no irqs are in-flight. |
| Netty is an asynchronous, event-driven network application framework. Prior to 4.2.13.Final and 4.1.133.Final, Netty's DNS codec does not enforce RFC 1035 domain name constraints during either encoding or decoding. This creates a bidirectional attack surface: malicious DNS responses can exploit the decoder, and user-influenced hostnames can exploit the encoder. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.2.13.Final and 4.1.133.Final. |

| ffuf is a fast web fuzzer written in Go. Prior to 2.2.0, ffuf allows a malicious target server to cause an out-of-memory denial of service because the response size guard in pkg/runner/simple.go checks only the compressed Content-Length while io.ReadAll reads gzip, brotli, deflate, transparently decompressed, or chunked response bodies without a decompressed-size bound. This issue is fixed in version 2.2.0. |
| A vulnerability has been found in Open5GS up to 2.7.6. Affected by this issue is the function fd_msg_sess_get of the component HSS Service. Such manipulation of the argument Session-Id leads to denial of service. The attack may be performed from remote. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The project locked and limited conversation to collaborators. |
| Improper validation of length fields in the Apache IoTDB RPC service may allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service. By sending a crafted malformed Thrift frame, an attacker can cause IoTDB to allocate an excessive amount of memory and crash with an OutOfMemoryError.
This issue affects Apache IoTDB: before 1.3.8, from 2.0.0 before 2.0.9.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.0.10, which fixes the issue. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
igc: fix potential skb leak in igc_fpe_xmit_smd_frame()
When igc_fpe_init_tx_descriptor() fails, no one takes care of an
allocated skb, leaking it. [1]
Use dev_kfree_skb_any() on failure.
Tested on an I226 adapter with the following command, while injecting
faults in igc_fpe_init_tx_descriptor() to trigger the error path.
# ethtool --set-mm $DEV verify-enabled on tx-enabled on pmac-enabled on

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
virt: sev-guest: Explicitly leak pages in unknown state
When set_memory_{encrypted,decrypted}() fail, the user cannot know at which
point the function failed, meaning that the pages are left in an unknown state
from the point of view of the caller.
Since the pages may be left in an unencrypted state, they are not suitable for
general use, and cannot be returned safely to the buddy allocator. Avoid the
issue by never freeing the pages, and then do the proper accounting by calling
snp_leak_pages(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: wwan: iosm: fix potential memory leaks in ipc_imem_init()
The memory allocated in ipc_protocol_init() is not freed on the error
paths that follow in ipc_imem_init(). Fix that by calling the
corresponding release function ipc_protocol_deinit() in the error path. |
| A security flaw has been discovered in Open5GS up to 2.7.6. Impacted is the function smf_gx_cca_cb of the component SMF Diameter Gx Credit-Control-Answer Handler. The manipulation results in denial of service. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. Upgrading to version 2.7.7 is recommended to address this issue. The patch is identified as f23d7a5e959acd8f37b925dc29b85f26b7d391cb. Upgrading the affected component is advised. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipc: limit next_id allocation to the valid ID range
The checkpoint/restore sysctl path can request the next SysV IPC id
through ids->next_id. ipc_idr_alloc() currently forwards that request to
idr_alloc() with an open-ended upper bound.
If the valid tail of the SysV IPC id space is full, the allocation can
spill beyond ipc_mni. The returned SysV IPC id still uses the normal
index encoding, so later lookup and removal can target the wrong slot.
This leaves the real IDR entry behind and breaks the IDR state for the
object.
The bug is in ipc_idr_alloc() in the checkpoint/restore path.
1. ids->next_id is passed to:
idr_alloc(&ids->ipcs_idr, new, ipcid_to_idx(next_id), 0, ...)
2. The zero upper bound makes the allocation effectively open-ended.
Once the valid SysV IPC tail is occupied, idr_alloc() can spill past
ipc_mni and allocate an entry beyond the valid IPC id range.
3. The new object id is still encoded with the narrower SysV IPC index
width:
new->id = (new->seq << ipcmni_seq_shift()) + idx
4. Later removal goes through ipc_rmid(), which uses:
ipcid_to_idx(ipcp->id)
That truncates the real IDR index. An object actually stored at a
high index can then be removed as if it lived at a low in-range
index.
5. For shared memory, shm_destroy() frees the current object anyway, but
the real high IDR slot is left behind as a dangling pointer.
6. A subsequent walk of /proc/sysvipc/shm reaches the stale IDR entry
and dereferences freed memory.
Prevent this by bounding the requested allocation to ipc_mni so the
checkpoint/restore path fails once the valid range is exhausted. |
| Spring WebFlux applications are vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) attacks when processing multipart requests.
Affected versions: Spring Framework 7.0.0 through 7.0.7, 6.2.0 through 6.2.18, 6.1.0 through 6.1.27, 5.3.0 through 5.3.48. |
| IBM WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Application Server Liberty are vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by sending a specially-crafted request. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the server to consume memory resources. |
| A vulnerability in the OSPF protocol of Cisco Secure Firewall Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an authenticated, adjacent attacker to exhaust memory on an affected device, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition.
This vulnerability is due to improperly validating input by the OSPF protocol when parsing packets. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by by sending crafted OSPF packets to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to exhaust memory on the affected device, resulting in a DoS condition. |
| A vulnerability in the processing of SSH connections of Cisco Firepower Management Center (FMC) and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device.
This vulnerability is due to improper error handling when an SSH session fails to be established. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a high rate of crafted SSH connections to the instance. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause resource exhaustion, resulting in a reboot on the affected device. |
| A vulnerability in the internal packet-processing functionality of Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software for Cisco Firepower 2100 Series Security Appliances could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause an affected device to stop processing traffic, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to the affected software improperly validating IP Version 4 (IPv4) and IP Version 6 (IPv6) packets after the software reassembles the packets (following IP Fragmentation). An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a series of malicious, fragmented IPv4 or IPv6 packets to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause Snort processes on the affected device to hang at 100% CPU utilization, which could cause the device to stop processing traffic and result in a DoS condition until the device is reloaded manually. This vulnerability affects Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software Releases 6.2.1 and 6.2.2, if the software is running on a Cisco Firepower 2100 Series Security Appliance. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvf91098. |
| A vulnerability in the logging configuration of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) policies for Cisco FirePOWER System Software 5.3.0 through 6.2.2 could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition due to high consumption of system resources. The vulnerability is due to the logging of certain TCP packets by the affected software. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a flood of crafted TCP packets to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause a DoS condition. The success of an exploit is dependent on how an administrator has configured logging for SSL policies for a device. This vulnerability affects Cisco FirePOWER System Software that is configured to log connections by using SSL policy default actions. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvd07072. |
