CVE-2025-71161 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-verity: disable recursive forward error correction There are two problems with the recursive correction: 1. It may cause denial-of-service. In fec_read_bufs, there is a loop that has 253 iterations. For each iteration, we may call verity_hash_for_block recursively. There is a limit of 4 nested recursions - that means that there may be at most 253^4 (4 billion) iterations. Red Hat QE team actually created an image that pushes dm-verity to this limit - and this image just makes the udev-worker process get stuck in the 'D' state. 2. It doesn't work. In fec_read_bufs we store data into the variable "fio->bufs", but fio bufs is shared between recursive invocations, if "verity_hash_for_block" invoked correction recursively, it would overwrite partially filled fio->bufs.
CVE-2025-71159 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix use-after-free warning in btrfs_get_or_create_delayed_node() Previously, btrfs_get_or_create_delayed_node() set the delayed_node's refcount before acquiring the root->delayed_nodes lock. Commit e8513c012de7 ("btrfs: implement ref_tracker for delayed_nodes") moved refcount_set inside the critical section, which means there is no longer a memory barrier between setting the refcount and setting btrfs_inode->delayed_node. Without that barrier, the stores to node->refs and btrfs_inode->delayed_node may become visible out of order. Another thread can then read btrfs_inode->delayed_node and attempt to increment a refcount that hasn't been set yet, leading to a refcounting bug and a use-after-free warning. The fix is to move refcount_set back to where it was to take advantage of the implicit memory barrier provided by lock acquisition. Because the allocations now happen outside of the lock's critical section, they can use GFP_NOFS instead of GFP_ATOMIC.
CVE-2025-71158 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: mpsse: ensure worker is torn down When an IRQ worker is running, unplugging the device would cause a crash. The sealevel hardware this driver was written for was not hotpluggable, so I never realized it. This change uses a spinlock to protect a list of workers, which it tears down on disconnect.
CVE-2025-71150 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: Fix refcount leak when invalid session is found on session lookup When a session is found but its state is not SMB2_SESSION_VALID, It indicates that no valid session was found, but it is missing to decrement the reference count acquired by the session lookup, which results in a reference count leak. This patch fixes the issue by explicitly calling ksmbd_user_session_put to release the reference to the session.
CVE-2025-71146 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conncount: fix leaked ct in error paths There are some situations where ct might be leaked as error paths are skipping the refcounted check and return immediately. In order to solve it make sure that the check is always called.
CVE-2025-68764 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFS: Automounted filesystems should inherit ro,noexec, nodev, sync flags When a filesystem is being automounted, it needs to preserve the user-set superblock mount options, such as the "ro" flag.
CVE-2025-68761 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hfs: fix potential use after free in hfs_correct_next_unused_CNID() This code calls hfs_bnode_put(node) which drops the refcount and then dreferences "node" on the next line. It's only safe to use "node" when we're holding a reference so flip these two lines around.
CVE-2025-68753 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: firewire-motu: add bounds check in put_user loop for DSP events In the DSP event handling code, a put_user() loop copies event data. When the user buffer size is not aligned to 4 bytes, it could overwrite beyond the buffer boundary. Fix by adding a bounds check before put_user().
CVE-2025-68749 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ivpu: Fix race condition when unbinding BOs Fix 'Memory manager not clean during takedown' warning that occurs when ivpu_gem_bo_free() removes the BO from the BOs list before it gets unmapped. Then file_priv_unbind() triggers a warning in drm_mm_takedown() during context teardown. Protect the unmapping sequence with bo_list_lock to ensure the BO is always fully unmapped when removed from the list. This ensures the BO is either fully unmapped at context teardown time or present on the list and unmapped by file_priv_unbind().
CVE-2025-68748 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/panthor: Fix UAF race between device unplug and FW event processing The function panthor_fw_unplug() will free the FW memory sections. The problem is that there could still be pending FW events which are yet not handled at this point. process_fw_events_work() can in this case try to access said freed memory. Simply call disable_work_sync() to both drain and prevent future invocation of process_fw_events_work().
CVE-2025-68747 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/panthor: Fix UAF on kernel BO VA nodes If the MMU is down, panthor_vm_unmap_range() might return an error. We expect the page table to be updated still, and if the MMU is blocked, the rest of the GPU should be blocked too, so no risk of accessing physical memory returned to the system (which the current code doesn't cover for anyway). Proceed with the rest of the cleanup instead of bailing out and leaving the va_node inserted in the drm_mm, which leads to UAF when other adjacent nodes are removed from the drm_mm tree.
CVE-2025-68746 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: tegra210-quad: Fix timeout handling When the CPU that the QSPI interrupt handler runs on (typically CPU 0) is excessively busy, it can lead to rare cases of the IRQ thread not running before the transfer timeout is reached. While handling the timeouts, any pending transfers are cleaned up and the message that they correspond to is marked as failed, which leaves the curr_xfer field pointing at stale memory. To avoid this, clear curr_xfer to NULL upon timeout and check for this condition when the IRQ thread is finally run. While at it, also make sure to clear interrupts on failure so that new interrupts can be run. A better, more involved, fix would move the interrupt clearing into a hard IRQ handler. Ideally we would also want to signal that the IRQ thread no longer needs to be run after the timeout is hit to avoid the extra check for a valid transfer.
CVE-2025-68745 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Clear cmds after chip reset Commit aefed3e5548f ("scsi: qla2xxx: target: Fix offline port handling and host reset handling") caused two problems: 1. Commands sent to FW, after chip reset got stuck and never freed as FW is not going to respond to them anymore. 2. BUG_ON(cmd->sg_mapped) in qlt_free_cmd(). Commit 26f9ce53817a ("scsi: qla2xxx: Fix missed DMA unmap for aborted commands") attempted to fix this, but introduced another bug under different circumstances when two different CPUs were racing to call qlt_unmap_sg() at the same time: BUG_ON(!valid_dma_direction(dir)) in dma_unmap_sg_attrs(). So revert "scsi: qla2xxx: Fix missed DMA unmap for aborted commands" and partially revert "scsi: qla2xxx: target: Fix offline port handling and host reset handling" at __qla2x00_abort_all_cmds.
CVE-2025-68741 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Fix improper freeing of purex item In qla2xxx_process_purls_iocb(), an item is allocated via qla27xx_copy_multiple_pkt(), which internally calls qla24xx_alloc_purex_item(). The qla24xx_alloc_purex_item() function may return a pre-allocated item from a per-adapter pool for small allocations, instead of dynamically allocating memory with kzalloc(). An error handling path in qla2xxx_process_purls_iocb() incorrectly uses kfree() to release the item. If the item was from the pre-allocated pool, calling kfree() on it is a bug that can lead to memory corruption. Fix this by using the correct deallocation function, qla24xx_free_purex_item(), which properly handles both dynamically allocated and pre-allocated items.
CVE-2025-68735 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/panthor: Prevent potential UAF in group creation This commit prevents the possibility of a use after free issue in the GROUP_CREATE ioctl function, which arose as pointer to the group is accessed in that ioctl function after storing it in the Xarray. A malicious userspace can second guess the handle of a group and try to call GROUP_DESTROY ioctl from another thread around the same time as GROUP_CREATE ioctl. To prevent the use after free exploit, this commit uses a mark on an entry of group pool Xarray which is added just before returning from the GROUP_CREATE ioctl function. The mark is checked for all ioctls that specify the group handle and so userspace won't be abe to delete a group that isn't marked yet. v2: Add R-bs and fixes tags
CVE-2025-68730 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ivpu: Fix page fault in ivpu_bo_unbind_all_bos_from_context() Don't add BO to the vdev->bo_list in ivpu_gem_create_object(). When failure happens inside drm_gem_shmem_create(), the BO is not fully created and ivpu_gem_bo_free() callback will not be called causing a deleted BO to be left on the list.
CVE-2025-68726 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: aead - Fix reqsize handling Commit afddce13ce81d ("crypto: api - Add reqsize to crypto_alg") introduced cra_reqsize field in crypto_alg struct to replace type specific reqsize fields. It looks like this was introduced specifically for ahash and acomp from the commit description as subsequent commits add necessary changes in these alg frameworks. However, this is being recommended for use in all crypto algs instead of setting reqsize using crypto_*_set_reqsize(). Using cra_reqsize in aead algorithms, hence, causes memory corruptions and crashes as the underlying functions in the algorithm framework have not been updated to set the reqsize properly from cra_reqsize. [1] Add proper set_reqsize calls in the aead init function to properly initialize reqsize for these algorithms in the framework. CVE-2025-68724 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: asymmetric_keys - prevent overflow in asymmetric_key_generate_id Use check_add_overflow() to guard against potential integer overflows when adding the binary blob lengths and the size of an asymmetric_key_id structure and return ERR_PTR(-EOVERFLOW) accordingly. This prevents a possible buffer overflow when copying data from potentially malicious X.509 certificate fields that can be arbitrarily large, such as ASN.1 INTEGER serial numbers, issuer names, etc.
CVE-2025-68379 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Fix null deref on srq->rq.queue after resize failure A NULL pointer dereference can occur in rxe_srq_chk_attr() when ibv_modify_srq() is invoked twice in succession under certain error conditions. The first call may fail in rxe_queue_resize(), which leads rxe_srq_from_attr() to set srq->rq.queue = NULL. The second call then triggers a crash (null deref) when accessing srq->rq.queue->buf->index_mask. Call Trace: <TASK> rxe_modify_srq+0x170/0x480 [rdma_rxe] ? __pfx_rxe_modify_srq+0x10/0x10 [rdma_rxe] ? uverbs_try_lock_object+0x4f/0xa0 [ib_uverbs] ? rdma_lookup_get_uobject+0x1f0/0x380 [ib_uverbs] ib_uverbs_modify_srq+0x204/0x290 [ib_uverbs] ? __pfx_ib_uverbs_modify_srq+0x10/0x10 [ib_uverbs] ? tryinc_node_nr_active+0xe6/0x150 ? uverbs_fill_udata+0xed/0x4f0 [ib_uverbs] ib_uverbs_handler_UVERBS_METHOD_INVOKE_WRITE+0x2c0/0x470 [ib_uverbs] ? __pfx_ib_uverbs_handler_UVERBS_METHOD_INVOKE_WRITE+0x10/0x10 [ib_uverbs] ? uverbs_fill_udata+0xed/0x4f0 [ib_uverbs] ib_uverbs_run_method+0x55a/0x6e0 [ib_uverbs] ? __pfx_ib_uverbs_handler_UVERBS_METHOD_INVOKE_WRITE+0x10/0x10 [ib_uverbs] ib_uverbs_cmd_verbs+0x54d/0x800 [ib_uverbs] ? __pfx_ib_uverbs_cmd_verbs+0x10/0x10 [ib_uverbs] ? __pfx___raw_spin_lock_irqsave+0x10/0x10 ? __pfx_do_vfs_ioctl+0x10/0x10 ? ioctl_has_perm.constprop.0.isra.0+0x2c7/0x4c0 ? __pfx_ioctl_has_perm.constprop.0.isra.0+0x10/0x10 ib_uverbs_ioctl+0x13e/0x220 [ib_uverbs] ? __pfx_ib_uverbs_ioctl+0x10/0x10 [ib_uverbs] __x64_sys_ioctl+0x138/0x1c0 do_syscall_64+0x82/0x250 ? fdget_pos+0x58/0x4c0 ? ksys_write+0xf3/0x1c0 ? __pfx_ksys_write+0x10/0x10 ? do_syscall_64+0xc8/0x250 ? __pfx_vm_mmap_pgoff+0x10/0x10 ? fget+0x173/0x230 ? fput+0x2a/0x80 ? ksys_mmap_pgoff+0x224/0x4c0 ? do_syscall_64+0xc8/0x250 ? do_user_addr_fault+0x37b/0xfe0 ? clear_bhb_loop+0x50/0xa0 ? clear_bhb_loop+0x50/0xa0 ? clear_bhb_loop+0x50/0xa0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x76/0x7e
CVE-2025-68370 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: coresight: tmc: add the handle of the event to the path The handle is essential for retrieving the AUX_EVENT of each CPU and is required in perf mode. It has been added to the coresight_path so that dependent devices can access it from the path when needed. The existing bug can be reproduced with: perf record -e cs_etm//k -C 0-9 dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/null Showing an oops as follows: Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 000f6e84934ed19e Call trace: tmc_etr_get_buffer+0x30/0x80 [coresight_tmc] (P) catu_enable_hw+0xbc/0x3d0 [coresight_catu] catu_enable+0x70/0xe0 [coresight_catu] coresight_enable_path+0xb0/0x258 [coresight]
