CVE-2024-1394 1 Redhat 23 Ansible Automation Platform, Ansible Automation Platform Developer, Ansible Automation Platform Inside and 20 more 2026-04-23 7.5 High
A memory leak flaw was found in Golang in the RSA encrypting/decrypting code, which might lead to a resource exhaustion vulnerability using attacker-controlled inputs. The memory leak happens in github.com/golang-fips/openssl/openssl/rsa.go#L113. The objects leaked are pkey and ctx. That function uses named return parameters to free pkey and ctx if there is an error initializing the context or setting the different properties. All return statements related to error cases follow the "return nil, nil, fail(...)" pattern, meaning that pkey and ctx will be nil inside the deferred function that should free them.
CVE-2017-7407 2 Haxx, Redhat 2 Curl, Rhel Software Collections 2026-04-16 2.4 Low
The ourWriteOut function in tool_writeout.c in curl 7.53.1 might allow physically proximate attackers to obtain sensitive information from process memory in opportunistic circumstances by reading a workstation screen during use of a --write-out argument ending in a '%' character, which leads to a heap-based buffer over-read.
CVE-2017-1000101 2 Haxx, Redhat 2 Curl, Rhel Software Collections 2026-04-16 6.5 Medium
curl supports "globbing" of URLs, in which a user can pass a numerical range to have the tool iterate over those numbers to do a sequence of transfers. In the globbing function that parses the numerical range, there was an omission that made curl read a byte beyond the end of the URL if given a carefully crafted, or just wrongly written, URL. The URL is stored in a heap based buffer, so it could then be made to wrongly read something else instead of crashing. An example of a URL that triggers the flaw would be `http://ur%20[0-60000000000000000000`.
CVE-2017-1000100 2 Haxx, Redhat 2 Libcurl, Rhel Software Collections 2026-04-16 6.5 Medium
When doing a TFTP transfer and curl/libcurl is given a URL that contains a very long file name (longer than about 515 bytes), the file name is truncated to fit within the buffer boundaries, but the buffer size is still wrongly updated to use the untruncated length. This too large value is then used in the sendto() call, making curl attempt to send more data than what is actually put into the buffer. The endto() function will then read beyond the end of the heap based buffer. A malicious HTTP(S) server could redirect a vulnerable libcurl-using client to a crafted TFTP URL (if the client hasn't restricted which protocols it allows redirects to) and trick it to send private memory contents to a remote server over UDP. Limit curl's redirect protocols with --proto-redir and libcurl's with CURLOPT_REDIR_PROTOCOLS.
CVE-2016-8623 2 Haxx, Redhat 3 Curl, Jboss Core Services, Rhel Software Collections 2026-04-16 N/A
A flaw was found in curl before version 7.51.0. The way curl handles cookies permits other threads to trigger a use-after-free leading to information disclosure.
CVE-2016-8621 2 Haxx, Redhat 3 Curl, Jboss Core Services, Rhel Software Collections 2026-04-16 N/A
The `curl_getdate` function in curl before version 7.51.0 is vulnerable to an out of bounds read if it receives an input with one digit short.
CVE-2016-8617 2 Haxx, Redhat 3 Curl, Jboss Core Services, Rhel Software Collections 2026-04-16 N/A
The base64 encode function in curl before version 7.51.0 is prone to a buffer being under allocated in 32bit systems if it receives at least 1Gb as input via `CURLOPT_USERNAME`.
CVE-2018-1000301 5 Canonical, Debian, Haxx and 2 more 15 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Curl and 12 more 2026-04-15 9.1 Critical
curl version curl 7.20.0 to and including curl 7.59.0 contains a CWE-126: Buffer Over-read vulnerability in denial of service that can result in curl can be tricked into reading data beyond the end of a heap based buffer used to store downloaded RTSP content.. This vulnerability appears to have been fixed in curl < 7.20.0 and curl >= 7.60.0.
CVE-2017-8817 3 Debian, Haxx, Redhat 4 Debian Linux, Curl, Libcurl and 1 more 2026-04-15 9.8 Critical
The FTP wildcard function in curl and libcurl before 7.57.0 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a string that ends with an '[' character.
CVE-2017-8816 3 Debian, Haxx, Redhat 4 Debian Linux, Curl, Libcurl and 1 more 2026-04-15 9.8 Critical
The NTLM authentication feature in curl and libcurl before 7.57.0 on 32-bit platforms allows attackers to cause a denial of service (integer overflow and resultant buffer overflow, and application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via vectors involving long user and password fields.
CVE-2017-1000257 3 Debian, Haxx, Redhat 5 Debian Linux, Libcurl, Enterprise Linux and 2 more 2026-04-15 9.1 Critical
An IMAP FETCH response line indicates the size of the returned data, in number of bytes. When that response says the data is zero bytes, libcurl would pass on that (non-existing) data with a pointer and the size (zero) to the deliver-data function. libcurl's deliver-data function treats zero as a magic number and invokes strlen() on the data to figure out the length. The strlen() is called on a heap based buffer that might not be zero terminated so libcurl might read beyond the end of it into whatever memory lies after (or just crash) and then deliver that to the application as if it was actually downloaded.
CVE-2016-8620 2 Haxx, Redhat 2 Curl, Rhel Software Collections 2026-04-15 N/A
The 'globbing' feature in curl before version 7.51.0 has a flaw that leads to integer overflow and out-of-bounds read via user controlled input.
CVE-2016-9586 2 Haxx, Redhat 2 Curl, Rhel Software Collections 2026-04-15 N/A
curl before version 7.52.0 is vulnerable to a buffer overflow when doing a large floating point output in libcurl's implementation of the printf() functions. If there are any application that accepts a format string from the outside without necessary input filtering, it could allow remote attacks.
CVE-2016-8622 2 Haxx, Redhat 3 Libcurl, Jboss Core Services, Rhel Software Collections 2026-04-15 N/A
The URL percent-encoding decode function in libcurl before 7.51.0 is called `curl_easy_unescape`. Internally, even if this function would be made to allocate a unscape destination buffer larger than 2GB, it would return that new length in a signed 32 bit integer variable, thus the length would get either just truncated or both truncated and turned negative. That could then lead to libcurl writing outside of its heap based buffer.
CVE-2018-14618 4 Canonical, Debian, Haxx and 1 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libcurl and 3 more 2026-04-15 N/A
curl before version 7.61.1 is vulnerable to a buffer overrun in the NTLM authentication code. The internal function Curl_ntlm_core_mk_nt_hash multiplies the length of the password by two (SUM) to figure out how large temporary storage area to allocate from the heap. The length value is then subsequently used to iterate over the password and generate output into the allocated storage buffer. On systems with a 32 bit size_t, the math to calculate SUM triggers an integer overflow when the password length exceeds 2GB (2^31 bytes). This integer overflow usually causes a very small buffer to actually get allocated instead of the intended very huge one, making the use of that buffer end up in a heap buffer overflow. (This bug is almost identical to CVE-2017-8816.)
CVE-2018-20834 2 Isaacs, Redhat 2 Tar, Rhel Software Collections 2026-02-04 N/A
A vulnerability was found in node-tar before version 4.4.2 (excluding version 2.2.2). An Arbitrary File Overwrite issue exists when extracting a tarball containing a hardlink to a file that already exists on the system, in conjunction with a later plain file with the same name as the hardlink. This plain file content replaces the existing file content. A patch has been applied to node-tar v2.2.2).
CVE-2023-5870 2 Postgresql, Redhat 22 Postgresql, Advanced Cluster Security, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 19 more 2026-02-02 2.2 Low
A flaw was found in PostgreSQL involving the pg_cancel_backend role that signals background workers, including the logical replication launcher, autovacuum workers, and the autovacuum launcher. Successful exploitation requires a non-core extension with a less-resilient background worker and would affect that specific background worker only. This issue may allow a remote high privileged user to launch a denial of service (DoS) attack.
CVE-2023-25690 2 Apache, Redhat 8 Http Server, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 5 more 2025-12-18 9.8 Critical
Some mod_proxy configurations on Apache HTTP Server versions 2.4.0 through 2.4.55 allow a HTTP Request Smuggling attack. Configurations are affected when mod_proxy is enabled along with some form of RewriteRule or ProxyPassMatch in which a non-specific pattern matches some portion of the user-supplied request-target (URL) data and is then re-inserted into the proxied request-target using variable substitution. For example, something like: RewriteEngine on RewriteRule "^/here/(.*)" "http://example.com:8080/elsewhere?$1"; [P] ProxyPassReverse /here/ http://example.com:8080/ Request splitting/smuggling could result in bypass of access controls in the proxy server, proxying unintended URLs to existing origin servers, and cache poisoning. Users are recommended to update to at least version 2.4.56 of Apache HTTP Server.
CVE-2022-28615 4 Apache, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 1 more 6 Http Server, Fedora, Clustered Data Ontap and 3 more 2025-12-18 9.1 Critical
Apache HTTP Server 2.4.53 and earlier may crash or disclose information due to a read beyond bounds in ap_strcmp_match() when provided with an extremely large input buffer. While no code distributed with the server can be coerced into such a call, third-party modules or lua scripts that use ap_strcmp_match() may hypothetically be affected.
CVE-2021-3177 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more 12 Debian Linux, Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager and 9 more 2025-12-18 9.8 Critical
Python 3.x through 3.9.1 has a buffer overflow in PyCArg_repr in _ctypes/callproc.c, which may lead to remote code execution in certain Python applications that accept floating-point numbers as untrusted input, as demonstrated by a 1e300 argument to c_double.from_param. This occurs because sprintf is used unsafely.
