CVE-2026-74425 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-17 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: afs: handle CB.InitCallBackState3 requests without a server record The cache manager callback path now attaches the server record to an incoming call through the rxrpc peer's app data. That association is not guaranteed to exist for every callback request, and most callback handlers already tolerate that case. Make CB.InitCallBackState3 follow the same pattern by checking whether a server record was attached before using it. If the peer is not mapped to a server record, trace the request and ignore it, matching the existing behaviour for other unmatched callback requests. This keeps the callback handler consistent with the rest of the cache manager service and avoids depending on peer state that may not be available for a given request.
CVE-2026-64181 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-11 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: fix __vm_normal_page() to handle missing support for pmd_special()/pud_special() On x86 32-bit with THP enabled, zap_huge_pmd() is seen to generate a "WARNING: mm/memory.c:735 at __vm_normal_page+0x6a/0x7d", from the VM_WARN_ON_ONCE(is_zero_pfn(pfn) || is_huge_zero_pfn(pfn)); followed by "BUG: Bad rss-counter state"s, then later "BUG: Bad page state"s when reclaim gets to call shrink_huge_zero_folio_scan(). It's as if the _PAGE_SPECIAL bit never got set in the huge_zero pmd: and indeed, whereas pte_special() and pte_mkspecial() are subject to a dedicated CONFIG_ARCH_HAS_PTE_SPECIAL, pmd_special() and pmd_mkspecial() are subject to CONFIG_ARCH_SUPPORTS_PMD_PFNMAP, which is never enabled on any 32-bit architecture. While the problem was exposed through commit d80a9cb1a64a ("mm/huge_memory: add and use normal_or_softleaf_folio_pmd()"), it was an oversight in commit af38538801c6 ("mm/memory: factor out common code from vm_normal_page_*()") and would result in other problems: * huge zero folio accounted in smaps, pagemap (PAGE_IS_FILE) and numamaps as file-backed THP * folio_walk_start() returning the folio even without FW_ZEROPAGE set. Callers seem to tolerate that, though. ... and triggering the VM_WARN_ON_ONE(), although never reported so far. To fix it, teach vm_normal_page_pmd()/vm_normal_page_pud() to consider whether pmd_special/pud_special is actually implemented.
CVE-2026-53027 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-24 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: fix missing run load for vcn0 in attr_data_get_block_locked() When a compressed or sparse attribute has its clusters frame-aligned, vcn is rounded down to the frame start using cmask, which can result in vcn != vcn0. In this case, vcn and vcn0 may reside in different attribute segments. The code already handles the case where vcn is in a different segment by loading its runs before allocation. However, it fails to load runs for vcn0 when vcn0 resides in a different segment than vcn. This causes run_lookup_entry() to return SPARSE_LCN for vcn0 since its segment was never loaded into the in-memory run list, triggering the WARN_ON(1). Fix this by adding a missing check for vcn0 after the existing vcn segment check. If vcn0 falls outside the current segment range [svcn, evcn1), find and load the attribute segment containing vcn0 before performing the run lookup. The following scenario triggers the bug: attr_data_get_block_locked() vcn = vcn0 & cmask <- vcn != vcn0 after frame alignment load runs for vcn segment <- vcn0 segment not loaded! attr_allocate_clusters() <- allocation succeeds run_lookup_entry(vcn0) <- vcn0 not in run -> SPARSE_LCN WARN_ON(1) <- bug fires here!
CVE-2026-53295 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-29 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mailbox: add sanity check for channel array Fail gracefully if there is no channel array attached to the mailbox controller. Otherwise the later dereference will cause an OOPS which might not be seen because mailbox controllers might instantiate very early. Remove the comment explaining the obvious while here.

CVE-2026-43365 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-15 8.2 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix undersized l_iclog_roundoff values If the superblock doesn't list a log stripe unit, we set the incore log roundoff value to 512. This leads to corrupt logs and unmountable filesystems in generic/617 on a disk with 4k physical sectors... We should fix mkfs not to generate broken filesystems, but anyone can fuzz the ondisk superblock so we should be more cautious. I think the inadequate logic predates commit a6a65fef5ef8d0, but that's clearly going to require a different backport.
CVE-2026-43136 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-13 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: logitech-hidpp: Check maxfield in hidpp_get_report_length() Do not crash when a report has no fields. Fake USB gadgets can send their own HID report descriptors and can define report structures without valid fields. This can be used to crash the kernel over USB.
CVE-2026-31751 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-07 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: comedi: dt2815: add hardware detection to prevent crash The dt2815 driver crashes when attached to I/O ports without actual hardware present. This occurs because syzkaller or users can attach the driver to arbitrary I/O addresses via COMEDI_DEVCONFIG ioctl. When no hardware exists at the specified port, inb() operations return 0xff (floating bus), but outb() operations can trigger page faults due to undefined behavior, especially under race conditions: BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: 000000007fffff90 #PF: supervisor write access in kernel mode #PF: error_code(0x0002) - not-present page RIP: 0010:dt2815_attach+0x6e0/0x1110 Add hardware detection by reading the status register before attempting any write operations. If the read returns 0xff, assume no hardware is present and fail the attach with -ENODEV. This prevents crashes from outb() operations on non-existent hardware.
