CVE-2026-74600 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-23 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/page_table_check: skip special zero mappings page_table_check_set() and page_table_check_clear() account mappings based on PageAnon(). Shared zero-page PTEs and huge zero PMDs are special mappings, but page_table_check can still account them as file-backed pages. An unprivileged process can populate enough zero mappings to overflow file_map_count and hit the existing BUG_ON(). The PTE path can do this with the shared zero page, and the PMD path can do the same with huge zero mappings. Skip special zero mappings in the user page-table accounting paths. Keep the PTE-side pte_special() check, and identify huge zero PMDs from the mapped folio instead of pmd_special(). That covers architectures where pmd_special() is a no-op without adding huge_zero_pfn checks to the generic counter helpers.
CVE-2026-68278 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-23 6.0 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/dp/mst: fix buffer overflows in sideband chunk accumulation drm_dp_sideband_append_payload() has three related bugs when processing device-provided sideband reply data: 1. Zero-length curchunk_len underflow: msg_len is a 6-bit field taken directly from the DP sideband header. If a device sends msg_len=0, curchunk_len is set to zero. The condition (curchunk_idx >= curchunk_len) is immediately true, and curchunk_len-1 wraps to 255 (u8 underflow). drm_dp_msg_data_crc4() reads 255 bytes from chunk[48], then memcpy() writes 255 bytes into msg[], both far out of bounds. 2. chunk[48] overflow: curchunk_len can reach 63 (6-bit field). chunk[] is only 48 bytes. Multi-iteration payload assembly appends 16-byte blocks until curchunk_idx reaches curchunk_len, writing up to 15 bytes past the end of chunk[] into msg[]. 3. msg[256] overflow: each chunk contributes (curchunk_len-1) bytes to msg[]. No check ensures curlen + (curchunk_len-1) stays within msg[256], so the memcpy can spill into adjacent struct fields. All three are reachable from any DP MST device that can forge sideband reply messages on a physical connection.
CVE-2026-64280 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-23 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fpga: dfl-afu: validate DMA mapping length in afu_dma_map_region() afu_ioctl_dma_map() accepts a 64-bit length from userspace via DFL_FPGA_PORT_DMA_MAP ioctl without an upper bound check. The value is passed to afu_dma_pin_pages() where npages is derived as length >> PAGE_SHIFT and passed to pin_user_pages_fast() which takes int nr_pages, causing implicit truncation if length is very large. Validate map.length at the ioctl entry point before calling afu_dma_map_region(), rejecting values whose page count exceeds INT_MAX.
CVE-2026-74679 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-22 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: f_ncm: Use unsigned int for ndp_index The variable ndp_index is declared as a signed integer, but it stores the return value of get_ncm(), which is unsigned. A malicious host can supply a large offset that overflows the signed ndp_index, making it negative. Because ndp_index is compared against unsigned bounds, this negative value bypasses sanity checks and leads to an out-of-bounds read when calculating the address of the NDP block (ntb_ptr + ndp_index). Fix this by changing ndp_index to unsigned int to ensure consistent unsigned comparisons throughout the function.
CVE-2026-74685 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-22 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (ltc4282) Clamp negative current limits When a negative value is passed to ltc4282_write_curr(), the signed long val is cast directly to u64: drivers/hwmon/ltc4282.c:ltc4282_write_curr() { /* need to pass it in millivolt */ u32 in = DIV_ROUND_CLOSEST_ULL((u64)val * st->rsense, DECA * MICRO); ... } This cast converts negative inputs into large positive values. The subsequent division result overflows the u32 in variable, truncating to a pseudo-random positive value. When this is passed to ltc4282_write_voltage_byte(), it is clamped to the maximum limit instead of zero. Clamp val to 0 and to the maximum supported upper limit before the cast and assign the result to a 64-bit temporary variable before the division to avoid the underflow and an also possible overflow.
CVE-2026-74703 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-22 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vhost-scsi: Validate T10 PI scatterlist counts When T10 PI is negotiated, vhost-scsi splits protection bytes from the data iterator before mapping the request scatterlists. A malformed request can claim protection bytes that cover or exceed the full payload length. The former leaves no data bytes to map, while the latter underflows exp_data_len before advancing the iterator. Both cases can let a zero data SGL count reach sg_alloc_table_chained(), which triggers BUG_ON(!nents). Reject protection lengths that cover or exceed the payload before subtracting prot_bytes and advancing the iterator. Also propagate negative errors from the protection SGL calculation before calling the allocator, matching the data SGL path.
CVE-2026-74720 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-22 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Preserve pointer state for commuted arithmetic When scalar += pointer is handled in adjust_ptr_min_max_vals(), the destination register inherits the pointer state from the source pointer. Copying only selected fields is fragile because pointer provenance is tracked by several bpf_reg_state fields. Use the caller's temporary offset register to preserve the scalar operand while replacing the destination with the full pointer state. This preserves the frame number for PTR_TO_STACK registers and keeps parent identity fields consistent.
CVE-2026-16933 1 Ibm 1 Power Systems Firmware 2026-08-22 8.2 High
IBM Power Systems Firmware FW1120.00, FW1110.00 through FW1110.30, FW1060.00 through FW1060.80, FW950.00 through FW950.H2, OP940.00 through OP940.a1 (Power9), and OP940.00 through OP940.81 (Power HMC) is affected by a vulnerability in the interface between the BMC/FSP and the host system. An attacker with service account or root access to the BMC/FSP can read and write arbitrary regions of host system memory, giving full control over the host system and all hosted partitions, resulting in a confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact.
CVE-2026-16661 1 Ibm 2 Power Systems Firmware, Powervm Hypervisor 2026-08-22 8.2 High
IBM PowerVM Hypervisor FW1120.00, FW1110.00 through FW1110.30, FW1060.00 through FW1060.80, and FW950.00 through FW950.H2 is affected by a vulnerability in the service processor mailbox interface. An attacker with authenticated service-level access to the FSP can exploit this vulnerability, allowing arbitrary code to be executed in the host firmware runtime, giving full control over the managed system, resulting in a confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact to the managed system.
CVE-2026-74380 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-22 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpu: host1x: Fix iommu_map_sgtable() return value check Commit "iommu: return full error code from iommu_map_sg[_atomic]()" changed iommu_map_sgtable() to return an ssize_t and negative values in error cases, rather than a size_t and a zero. pin_job() also was incorrectly assigning to 'int', which could cause overflows into negative values. Update pin_job() to correctly check for errors from iommu_map_sgtable.
CVE-2026-74394 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-22 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/srpt: fix integer overflow in immediate data length check imm_buf->len is a user-controlled uint32_t received from the network. Adding it to imm_data_offset without overflow checking allows a malicious initiator to send len=0xFFFFFFFF, causing req_size to wrap around to a small value, bypassing the bounds check, and subsequently passing a ~4GB length to sg_init_one(). Use check_add_overflow() to detect wrapping before the comparison.
CVE-2026-77219 1 Gnu 1 Emacs 2026-08-21 7.1 High
GNU Emacs before 31.0.91 contains an integer overflow in the PBM/PPM/PGM image loader that allows an attacker to leak heap memory contents by supplying a crafted image with large dimensions and an elevated max color index. The image loader multiplies image dimensions and channel count using signed integer arithmetic; for sufficiently large values, the result wraps to a negative number, bypassing the bounds check and causing the pixel reader to access heap memory past the end of the allocated buffer. The over-read contents are interpreted as pixel color values and rendered on screen.
CVE-2026-68552 1 Coturn 1 Coturn 2026-08-21 5.3 Medium
Coturn is a free open source implementation of TURN and STUN Server. Prior to 4.15.0, an unauthenticated remote client can send a STUN message over TCP or TLS with a body-length field from 65520 through 65532, causing the uint16_t len variable in stun_get_message_len_str() in src/client/ns_turn_msg.c to wrap when STUN_HEADER_LENGTH is added. The framing layer then consumes only 4 through 16 bytes, treats the remaining bytes as another message, desynchronizes the stream parser, and drops the attacking client's connection. Other clients and the server process are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 4.15.0.
CVE-2026-55648 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-08-21 N/A
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.27.0, freerdp_image_copy_from_icon_data in libfreerdp/codec/color.c calculates nWidth multiplied by nHeight multiplied by FreeRDPGetBytesPerPixel(format) in 32-bit arithmetic. A malicious RDP server can send a RAIL TS_ICON_INFO update with dimensions such as 32768 by 32768 and 32 bits per pixel so the required-size calculation wraps, bypassing the cbBitsColor source bounds check before freerdp_image_copy_no_overlap reads attacker-controlled icon data. This affects RemoteApp clients using the vulnerable library path, while xfreerdp has a caller-side mitigation. This issue is fixed in version 3.27.0.
CVE-2026-16724 1 Ibm 2 Power Systems Firmware, Virtualization Manager 2026-08-21 4.5 Medium
IBM Virtualization Management Interface FW1110.00 through FW1110.30, FW1120.00 through FW1120.00, and FW1060.00 through FW1060.80 is affected by a vulnerability in the Virtualization Management Interface (VMI). An attacker with authenticated administrator-level access can cause the VMI to crash. The VMI will restart automatically; however, repeated exploitation could result in a sustained availability impact.
CVE-2026-50142 1 Struktur 1 Libheif 2026-08-21 7.5 High
libheif is a HEIF and AVIF file format decoder and encoder. From 1.19.0 until 1.23.0, a crafted HEIF sequence accepted by heif_context_read_from_memory() with the msf1 sequence brand can cause unbounded heap allocation. In libheif/sequences/seq_boxes.cc, Box_stsz::parse() applies max_sequence_frames only to variable-size samples, so fixed-size mode accepts an attacker-controlled sample_count without a bound. In libheif/sequences/track.cc, Track::load() also adds current_sample_idx and samples_per_chunk in 32-bit arithmetic, allowing the consistency check to be bypassed by wraparound. The resulting values reach the Chunk::Chunk() allocation path, which can consume gigabytes of memory and crash or stall the process through memory exhaustion. This issue is fixed in version 1.23.0.
CVE-2026-76043 1 Google 1 Chrome 2026-08-21 8.8 High
Incorrect calculation in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 151.0.7922.169 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
CVE-2026-50278 1 Internationalcolorconsortium 1 Iccdev 2026-08-21 6.5 Medium
iccDEV provides a set of libraries and tools for working with ICC color management profiles. Versions prior to 2.3.2.1 have a `CIccEmbedIO::Read8()` size_t underflow. The issue arises due to an embedded-profile read defect when parsing ICC profiles containing `icSigEmbeddedV5ProfileTag` data with `icSigEmbeddedProfileType` payloads. Version 2.3.2.1 patches the issue. No known workarounds are available.
CVE-2026-69419 1 Microsoft 1 Azure Data Manager For Energy 2026-08-21 8.5 High
Integer overflow or wraparound in Azure Data Manager for Energy allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network.
CVE-2026-17160 1 Ibm 2 Aix, Powervm Vios 2026-08-21 9.8 Critical
IBM AIX 7.2, and 7.3 and IBM PowerVM VIOS 4.1 could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code due to an integer overflow during size computation.
