CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: ipip: require CAP_NET_ADMIN in the device netns for changelink
ipip_changelink() operates on at most two netns, dev_net(dev) and the
tunnel link netns t->net. They differ once the device is created in or
moved to a netns other than the one the request runs in. The rtnl
changelink path checks CAP_NET_ADMIN only against dev_net(dev), so a
caller privileged there but not in t->net can rewrite a tunnel that
lives in t->net.
Gate ipip_changelink() on rtnl_dev_link_net_capable() at its top,
before any attribute is parsed. |
| Vulnerability in the Oracle Hyperion Infrastructure Technology product of Oracle Hyperion (component: Installation and Configuration). The supported version that is affected is 11.2.25.0.000. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with logon to the infrastructure where Oracle Hyperion Infrastructure Technology executes to compromise Oracle Hyperion Infrastructure Technology. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Oracle Hyperion Infrastructure Technology accessible data as well as unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Hyperion Infrastructure Technology accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 6.3 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N). |
| A flaw was found in Samba’s vfs_worm module. The module is intended to provide write-once, read-many (WORM) protections by preventing modification of files after a configurable grace period. Due to insufficient validation during rename operations, an authenticated user with write access to a share could overwrite a protected file by renaming a newly created file over the existing WORM-protected file. |
| Fork-PR Actions task can read a third private repository via the collaborative-owner branch (missing fork-PR guard) |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb: client: require net admin for CIFS SWN netlink
CIFS_GENL_CMD_SWN_NOTIFY is the userspace witness-notify command. The
intended sender is the cifs.witness helper, but the generic-netlink
operation currently has no capability flag, so any local process can send
RESOURCE_CHANGE or CLIENT_MOVE notifications to the in-kernel witness
handler.
The same family exposes CIFS_GENL_MCGRP_SWN without multicast-group
capability flags. Register messages sent to that group include the witness
registration id and, for NTLM-authenticated mounts, the username, domain,
and password attributes copied from the CIFS session. An unprivileged
local process should not be able to join that group and receive those
messages.
Require CAP_NET_ADMIN for incoming SWN_NOTIFY commands with
GENL_ADMIN_PERM, and require CAP_NET_ADMIN over the network namespace for
joining the SWN multicast group with GENL_MCAST_CAP_NET_ADMIN. The
cifs.witness service runs with the privileges needed for both operations. |
| Wagtail is an open source content management system built on Django. In versions prior to 7.0.8, 7.3.3 and 7.4.2, a low-level user with the "Can submit translation" permission can create translations for any page, including those they do not have permissions for. This issue has been fixed in versions 7.0.8, 7.3.3, and 7.4.2. |
| Wagtail is an open source content management system built on Django. In versions prior to 7.0.8, 7.3.3 and 7.4.2, the Documents and Images chooser's chosen endpoint incorrectly listed items for which the user has not been granted choose permission. A user with access to the Wagtail admin could see the filename and name and URLs of documents and images in those collections. The vulnerability is not exploitable by an ordinary site visitor without access to the Wagtail admin. This issue has been fixed in versions 7.0.8, 7.3.3, and 7.4.2. |
| Wagtail is an open source content management system built on Django. In versions prior to 7.0.8, 7.3.3 and 7.4.2, due to a missing permission check on the image preview endpoint, a user with access to the Wagtail admin can preview any image. The existing data of the image object itself is not exposed. The vulnerability is not exploitable by an ordinary site visitor without access to the Wagtail admin. This issue has been fixed in versions 7.0.8, 7.3.3, and 7.4.2. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/rds: Restrict use of RDS/IB to the initial network namespace
Prevent using RDS/IB in network namespaces other than the initial one.
The existing RDS/IB code will not work properly in non-initial network
namespaces. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fanotify: fix false positive on permission events
fsnotify_get_mark_safe() may return false for a mark on an unrelated group,
which results in bypassing the permission check.
Fix by skipping over detached marks that are not in the current group. |
| The product does not handle or incorrectly handles when it has insufficient privileges to access resources or functionality as specified by their permissions. This may cause it to follow unexpected code paths that may leave the product in an invalid state. (CWE-280)
Hitachi Vantara Pentaho Business Analytics Server versions before 10.2.0.0 and 9.3.0.9, including 8.3.x, do not handle invalid and missing permissions correctly, resulting in a denial of service.
An adversary leverages a legitimate capability of an application in such a way as to achieve a negative technical impact. |
| An Improper Handling of Insufficient Permissions or Privileges vulnerability in scripts used in B&R APROL <4.4-00P5 may allow an authenticated local attacker to read credential information. |
| matrix-appservice-irc is a Node.js IRC bridge for the Matrix messaging protocol. matrix-appservice-irc before version 2.0.0 can be exploited to leak the truncated body of a message if a malicious user sends a Matrix reply to an event ID they don't have access to. As a precondition to the attack, the malicious user needs to know the event ID of the message they want to leak, as well as to be joined to both the Matrix room and the IRC channel it is bridged to. The message reply containing the leaked message content is visible to IRC channel members when this happens. matrix-appservice-irc 2.0.0 checks whether the user has permission to view an event before constructing a reply. Administrators should upgrade to this version. It's possible to limit the amount of information leaked by setting a reply template that doesn't contain the original message. See these lines `601-604` in the configuration file linked. |
| matrix-appservice-irc is a Node.js IRC bridge for the Matrix messaging protocol. The fix for GHSA-wm4w-7h2q-3pf7 / CVE-2024-32000 included in matrix-appservice-irc 2.0.0 relied on the Matrix homeserver-provided timestamp to determine whether a user has access to the event they're replying to when determining whether or not to include a truncated version of the original event in the IRC message. Since this value is controlled by external entities, a malicious Matrix homeserver joined to a room in which a matrix-appservice-irc bridge instance (before version 2.0.1) is present can fabricate the timestamp with the intent of tricking the bridge into leaking room messages the homeserver should not have access to. matrix-appservice-irc 2.0.1 drops the reliance on `origin_server_ts` when determining whether or not an event should be visible to a user, instead tracking the event timestamps internally. As a workaround, it's possible to limit the amount of information leaked by setting a reply template that doesn't contain the original message. |
