CVE-2026-74673 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-22 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: evdev - fix information leak in evdev_pass_values() In evdev_pass_values(), the input_event structure is allocated on the kernel stack and populated field-by-field. However, it is never fully initialized. On architectures where struct input_event contains explicit or implicit padding (such as the 32-bit __pad field on SPARC64), these padding bytes are left uninitialized. When this event structure is subsequently passed to the client buffer and later copied to userspace, the uninitialized padding bytes leak kernel stack memory, potentially exposing sensitive information. Similar issues exist in __evdev_queue_syn_dropped and __pass_event. Fix this by explicitly zeroing the entire event structure with memset() before populating its fields. This ensures all padding bytes are cleared before the data crosses the security boundary.
CVE-2024-9355 1 Redhat 23 Amq Streams, Ansible Automation Platform, Container Native Virtualization and 20 more 2026-08-17 6.5 Medium
A vulnerability was found in Golang FIPS OpenSSL. This flaw allows a malicious user to randomly cause an uninitialized buffer length variable with a zeroed buffer to be returned in FIPS mode. It may also be possible to force a false positive match between non-equal hashes when comparing a trusted computed hmac sum to an untrusted input sum if an attacker can send a zeroed buffer in place of a pre-computed sum.  It is also possible to force a derived key to be all zeros instead of an unpredictable value.  This may have follow-on implications for the Go TLS stack.
CVE-2026-64524 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-05 7.7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/hyperv: validate resolution_count and fix WIN8 fallback A SYNTHVID_RESOLUTION_RESPONSE with resolution_count > 64 walks past the supported_resolution[SYNTHVID_MAX_RESOLUTION_COUNT] array in the parse loop. Bound resolution_count against the array size, folded into the existing zero-check. When the WIN10 resolution probe fails, the caller in hyperv_connect_vsp() left hv->screen_*_max / preferred_* unpopulated, which sets mode_config.max_width / max_height to 0 and makes drm_internal_framebuffer_create() reject every userspace framebuffer with -EINVAL. The pre-WIN10 branch had the same gap for preferred_width / preferred_height. Use a single post-probe fallback guarded by screen_width_max == 0 so both paths converge on the WIN8 defaults.
CVE-2024-36898 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpiolib: cdev: fix uninitialised kfifo If a line is requested with debounce, and that results in debouncing in software, and the line is subsequently reconfigured to enable edge detection then the allocation of the kfifo to contain edge events is overlooked. This results in events being written to and read from an uninitialised kfifo. Read events are returned to userspace. Initialise the kfifo in the case where the software debounce is already active.
CVE-2025-21709 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: kernel: be more careful about dup_mmap() failures and uprobe registering If a memory allocation fails during dup_mmap(), the maple tree can be left in an unsafe state for other iterators besides the exit path. All the locks are dropped before the exit_mmap() call (in mm/mmap.c), but the incomplete mm_struct can be reached through (at least) the rmap finding the vmas which have a pointer back to the mm_struct. Up to this point, there have been no issues with being able to find an mm_struct that was only partially initialised. Syzbot was able to make the incomplete mm_struct fail with recent forking changes, so it has been proven unsafe to use the mm_struct that hasn't been initialised, as referenced in the link below. Although 8ac662f5da19f ("fork: avoid inappropriate uprobe access to invalid mm") fixed the uprobe access, it does not completely remove the race. This patch sets the MMF_OOM_SKIP to avoid the iteration of the vmas on the oom side (even though this is extremely unlikely to be selected as an oom victim in the race window), and sets MMF_UNSTABLE to avoid other potential users from using a partially initialised mm_struct. When registering vmas for uprobe, skip the vmas in an mm that is marked unstable. Modifying a vma in an unstable mm may cause issues if the mm isn't fully initialised.
CVE-2024-45618 2 Opensc Project, Redhat 2 Opensc, Enterprise Linux 2026-06-30 3.9 Low
A vulnerability was found in pkcs15-init in OpenSC. An attacker could use a crafted USB Device or Smart Card, which would present the system with a specially crafted response to APDUs. Insufficient or missing checking of return values of functions leads to unexpected work with variables that have not been initialized.
CVE-2026-23156 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-18 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: efivarfs: fix error propagation in efivar_entry_get() efivar_entry_get() always returns success even if the underlying __efivar_entry_get() fails, masking errors. This may result in uninitialized heap memory being copied to userspace in the efivarfs_file_read() path. Fix it by returning the error from __efivar_entry_get().
CVE-2026-23057 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-17 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock/virtio: Coalesce only linear skb vsock/virtio common tries to coalesce buffers in rx queue: if a linear skb (with a spare tail room) is followed by a small skb (length limited by GOOD_COPY_LEN = 128), an attempt is made to join them. Since the introduction of MSG_ZEROCOPY support, assumption that a small skb will always be linear is incorrect. In the zerocopy case, data is lost and the linear skb is appended with uninitialized kernel memory. Of all 3 supported virtio-based transports, only loopback-transport is affected. G2H virtio-transport rx queue operates on explicitly linear skbs; see virtio_vsock_alloc_linear_skb() in virtio_vsock_rx_fill(). H2G vhost-transport may allocate non-linear skbs, but only for sizes that are not considered for coalescence; see PAGE_ALLOC_COSTLY_ORDER in virtio_vsock_alloc_skb(). Ensure only linear skbs are coalesced. Note that skb_tailroom(last_skb) > 0 guarantees last_skb is linear.
CVE-2026-23140 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-17 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf, test_run: Subtract size of xdp_frame from allowed metadata size The xdp_frame structure takes up part of the XDP frame headroom, limiting the size of the metadata. However, in bpf_test_run, we don't take this into account, which makes it possible for userspace to supply a metadata size that is too large (taking up the entire headroom). If userspace supplies such a large metadata size in live packet mode, the xdp_update_frame_from_buff() call in xdp_test_run_init_page() call will fail, after which packet transmission proceeds with an uninitialised frame structure, leading to the usual Bad Stuff. The commit in the Fixes tag fixed a related bug where the second check in xdp_update_frame_from_buff() could fail, but did not add any additional constraints on the metadata size. Complete the fix by adding an additional check on the metadata size. Reorder the checks slightly to make the logic clearer and add a comment.
CVE-2025-58466 2 Qnap, Qnap Systems 4 Qts, Quts Hero, Qts and 1 more 2026-02-12 4.9 Medium
A use of uninitialized variable vulnerability has been reported to affect several QNAP operating system versions. If a remote attacker gains an administrator account, they can then exploit the vulnerability to denial of service conditions, or modify control flow in unexpected ways. We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following versions: QTS 5.2.8.3332 build 20251128 and later QuTS hero h5.2.8.3321 build 20251117 and later

CVE-2024-36933 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 4 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2026-01-22 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nsh: Restore skb->{protocol,data,mac_header} for outer header in nsh_gso_segment(). syzbot triggered various splats (see [0] and links) by a crafted GSO packet of VIRTIO_NET_HDR_GSO_UDP layering the following protocols: ETH_P_8021AD + ETH_P_NSH + ETH_P_IPV6 + IPPROTO_UDP NSH can encapsulate IPv4, IPv6, Ethernet, NSH, and MPLS. As the inner protocol can be Ethernet, NSH GSO handler, nsh_gso_segment(), calls skb_mac_gso_segment() to invoke inner protocol GSO handlers. nsh_gso_segment() does the following for the original skb before calling skb_mac_gso_segment() 1. reset skb->network_header 2. save the original skb->{mac_heaeder,mac_len} in a local variable 3. pull the NSH header 4. resets skb->mac_header 5. set up skb->mac_len and skb->protocol for the inner protocol. and does the following for the segmented skb 6. set ntohs(ETH_P_NSH) to skb->protocol 7. push the NSH header 8. restore skb->mac_header 9. set skb->mac_header + mac_len to skb->network_header 10. restore skb->mac_len There are two problems in 6-7 and 8-9. (a) After 6 & 7, skb->data points to the NSH header, so the outer header (ETH_P_8021AD in this case) is stripped when skb is sent out of netdev. Also, if NSH is encapsulated by NSH + Ethernet (so NSH-Ethernet-NSH), skb_pull() in the first nsh_gso_segment() will make skb->data point to the middle of the outer NSH or Ethernet header because the Ethernet header is not pulled by the second nsh_gso_segment(). (b) While restoring skb->{mac_header,network_header} in 8 & 9, nsh_gso_segment() does not assume that the data in the linear buffer is shifted. However, udp6_ufo_fragment() could shift the data and change skb->mac_header accordingly as demonstrated by syzbot. If this happens, even the restored skb->mac_header points to the middle of the outer header. It seems nsh_gso_segment() has never worked with outer headers so far. At the end of nsh_gso_segment(), the outer header must be restored for the segmented skb, instead of the NSH header. To do that, let's calculate the outer header position relatively from the inner header and set skb->{data,mac_header,protocol} properly. CVE-2025-54874 1 Uclouvain 1 Openjpeg 2026-01-22 9.8 Critical
OpenJPEG is an open-source JPEG 2000 codec. In OpenJPEG from 2.5.1 through 2.5.3, a call to opj_jp2_read_header may lead to OOB heap memory write when the data stream p_stream is too short and p_image is not initialized.
CVE-2026-21690 2 Color, Internationalcolorconsortium 2 Iccdev, Iccdev 2026-01-12 6.3 Medium
iccDEV provides a set of libraries and tools that allow for the interaction, manipulation, and application of International Color Consortium (ICC) color management profiles. Versions prior to 2.3.1.2 have a Type Confusion vulnerability in `CIccTagXmlTagData::ToXml()`. This vulnerability affects users of the iccDEV library who process ICC color profiles. Version 2.3.1.2 contains a patch. No known workarounds are available.
CVE-2026-22188 2 Cmu, Panda3d 2 Panda3d, Panda3d 2026-01-12 5.5 Medium
Panda3D versions up to and including 1.10.16 deploy-stub contains a denial of service vulnerability due to unbounded stack allocation. The deploy-stub executable allocates argv_copy and argv_copy2 using alloca() based directly on the attacker-controlled argc value without validation. Supplying a large number of command-line arguments can exhaust stack space and propagate uninitialized stack memory into Python interpreter initialization, resulting in a reliable crash and undefined behavior.
