CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/gud: validate TV mode names before creating enum property
The GUD protocol returns TV mode names as fixed-size
GUD_CONNECTOR_TV_MODE_NAME_LEN entries and requires each name to be
NUL-terminated.
gud_connector_add_tv_mode() currently passes each fixed-size entry
directly to drm_mode_create_tv_properties_legacy(), which eventually
reaches drm_property_add_enum() and strlen(). If a device returns an
entry without a terminating NUL byte, strlen() reads past the end of
the slot and can run beyond the allocated buffer, triggering an
out-of-bounds read.
Validate that each returned TV mode name contains a NUL terminator
within its fixed-size slot before passing it to the DRM property code.
If a malformed entry is found, reject the device response with -EIO.
This fixes the out-of-bounds read without changing the handling of
valid devices, and avoids silently truncating malformed protocol data. |
| Rojo's "rojo serve" HTTP API (default port 34872) has no Host/Origin header validation, making it vulnerable to DNS rebinding. A malicious webpage can read all project source, write malicious code to files on disk, and launch local programs via opener::open() with no user interaction beyond visiting the page. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
s390/vfio-ap: fix potential use of uninitialized apm_filtered bitmap
The DECLARE_BITMAP(apm_filtered, AP_DEVICES) macro allocates the bitmap
on the stack without zero-initializing it.
In vfio_ap_mdev_hot_plug_cfg(), the vfio_ap_mdev_filter_matrix() function
is only called to initialize and populate apm_filtered if either
filter_adapters or filter_domains is true. If the hot plug configuration
change only adds control domains (meaning filter_cdoms is true, but
filter_adapters and filter_domains are both false),
vfio_ap_mdev_filter_matrix() is bypassed.
Consequently, apm_filtered is passed to reset_queues_for_apids() with
uninitialized stack garbage. This can cause reset_queues_for_apids() to
interpret arbitrary stack garbage bits as valid APIDs to reset, potentially
performing unintended guest hardware queue resets.
Fix this by zero-initializing the apm_filtered bitmap at the beginning of
vfio_ap_mdev_hot_plug_cfg() using bitmap_zero(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
memcg: make the v1 soft limit knob inert
The v1 soft limit has been deprecated since v6.12 and nobody has reported
depending on it. Start the removal by decoupling the interface from the
implementation: keep memory.soft_limit_in_bytes, but ignore writes to it
and always report the maximum value on read similar to what
memory.kmem.limit_in_bytes already does.
Writes are still parsed, so malformed input keeps returning -EINVAL. The
knob now also behaves the same everywhere: it used to return -EOPNOTSUPP
on PREEMPT_RT, where soft limit reclaim has always been disabled.
This also fixes the syzbot report linked below. Soft limit reclaim is the
only caller that runs shrink_lruvec() from kswapd against a specific
memcg, so it is the only way to reach lru_gen_shrink_lruvec() and in turn
set_mm_walk(), which warns when called from kswapd. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ext4: fix circular lock dependency in ext4_ext_migrate
Move iput(tmp_inode) after ext4_writepages_up_write() to avoid a
circular lock dependency between s_writepages_rwsem and sb_internal
(freeze protection).
The deadlock scenario:
CPU0 (EXT4_IOC_MIGRATE) CPU1 (orphan cleanup during mount)
---- ----
ext4_ext_migrate()
ext4_writepages_down_write()
s_writepages_rwsem (write)
ext4_evict_inode()
sb_start_intwrite() [sb_internal]
...
ext4_writepages()
s_writepages_rwsem (read) [BLOCKED]
iput(tmp_inode)
ext4_evict_inode()
sb_start_intwrite() [BLOCKED]
The tmp_inode is a temporary inode with nlink=0 created solely for
building the extent tree. Its eviction does not require
s_writepages_rwsem protection, so deferring iput() until after
releasing the rwsem is safe. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: fix reloc root cleanup in merge_reloc_roots()
If the root we got has zero root refs in its root item, we are resetting
the root's ->reloc_root without using barriers like we do everywhere else.
Sashiko complained about this while reviewing another patch, and it's
correct (see the Link tag below).
Also, we should not clear BTRFS_ROOT_DEAD_RELOC_TREE from the root unless
the root points to the reloc root we have.
Fix this by using clear_reloc_root(), which issues the memory barrier
after setting the root's ->reloc_root to NULL and before clearing the bit
BTRFS_ROOT_DEAD_RELOC_TREE from the root. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb/client: zero-initialize stack-allocated cifs_open_info_data
Stack-allocated cifs_open_info_data may contain random data.
This can make some fields have wrong value if they are not set later. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
perf: Fix addr_filter_ranges lifetime
Lee Jia Jie reported that since event::addr_filter_ranges is used
under RCU, it should be RCU freed. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvme-fc: Do not cancel requests in io target before it is initialized
A new nvme-fc controller in CONNECTING state sees admin request timeout
schedules ctrl->ioerr_work to abort inflight requests. This ends up
calling __nvme_fc_abort_outstanding_ios() which aborts requests in both
admin and io tagsets. In case fc_ctrl->tag_set was not initialized we
see the warning below. This is because ctrl.queue_count is initialized
early in nvme_fc_alloc_ctrl().
nvme nvme0: NVME-FC{0}: starting error recovery Connectivity Loss

The code is fine but needs lockdep annotation, or maybe

Update the check in __nvme_fc_abort_outstanding_ios() confirm that io
tagset was created before iterating over busy requests. Also make sure
to cancel ctrl->ioerr_work before removing io tagset. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: harden FRU PIA parsing with bounded helpers
Replace the open-coded TLV walk with fru_pia_advance()
and fru_pia_copy_field() helpers that bound every read
by the actual EEPROM data length, preventing out-of-bounds
reads on truncated or malformed FRU data. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ntfs3: fix out-of-bounds read in ntfs_dir_emit() and hdr_find_e()
The bounds check in ntfs_dir_emit() compares fname->name_len (a
character count) against e->size (a byte count) without accounting
for the 2-byte-per-character UTF-16LE encoding or the ATTR_FILE_NAME
header size:
if (fname->name_len + sizeof(struct NTFS_DE) > le16_to_cpu(e->size))
This computes: name_len + 16 > e_size
The correct check must account for the ATTR_FILE_NAME header (66 bytes
before the name) and the UTF-16LE character size (2 bytes each):
sizeof(NTFS_DE) + offsetof(ATTR_FILE_NAME, name) +
name_len * sizeof(short) > e_size
Which computes: 16 + 66 + name_len * 2 > e_size
The correct calculation already exists as fname_full_size() in ntfs.h
and is used in cmp_fnames(), namei.c, and fslog.c, but was not used
in the readdir path.
A crafted NTFS image with an index entry containing a small e->size
but large fname->name_len bypasses the current check, causing
ntfs_utf16_to_nls() to read past the entry boundary.
Additionally, add a key_size validation in hdr_find_e() to ensure the
declared key_size does not exceed the available entry data, preventing
comparison functions from reading past entry boundaries on the lookup
path. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ACPICA: add boundary checks in two places
Add boundary checks in acpi_ps_get_next_namestring() and
acpi_ps_peek_opcode() to prevent out-of-bounds access. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
watchdog: lenovo_se10_wdt: Fix use-after-free and resource leak risk
Review by sashiko.dev highlighted potential use after free and resource
leak instances.
Set se10_pdev to null to prevent use after free
Remove DMI call back and instead directly call
se10_create_platform_device. Handle error cases appropriately |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
thunderbolt: Keep XDomain reference during the lifetime of a service
This is needed because we release the service ID in tb_service_release()
and the ID array is owned by the parent XDomain. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
gfs2: move quota_init qc iterator increment
Move qc++ from the loop body into the for-loop increment
expression in gfs2_quota_init().
This keeps iterator progression explicit and avoids mixing pointer
advance with duplicate-slot handling in the loop body. |
| IBM ContextForge MCP Gateway 1.0.0 through 1.0.8 was vulnerable to path traversal in its Admin API log-download endpoint (`GET /v1/admin/logs/file`). The path confinement check uses `str.startswith()` rather than proper boundary validation, allowing an authenticated admin to read `.log`, `.jsonl`, and `.json` files outside the configured `LOG_FOLDER` by supplying a filename that resolves into a sibling directory whose absolute path shares the log directory's string prefix. |
| The Fancy Product Designer plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'output_format' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 6.5.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This requires the Pro Export/Genius feature to be enabled on the site, as the vulnerable fpd_pr_export AJAX action is only registered when that feature is active. |
| The Modula Image Gallery – Photo Grid & Video Gallery plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the upload_image function in all versions up to, and including, 3.0.2. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server. The path restriction to wp-content/uploads is not an effective ownership boundary, as all user attachment files reside within that tree, and Authors trivially satisfy the edit_post check on their own galleries. |
