CVSS v3.1 |
| In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.2, 10.2.6, 10.0.9, and 9.4.14, a low-privileged user that does not hold the fsh_manage capability could perform Remote Code Execution through Federated Search bundle selection. This could allow for access to all relevant data and affect system integrity and availability. The vulnerability is possible because the Federated Search dispatch flow accepts caller-controlled bundle selection without enforcing the capability that manages federated providers and indexes. For more information see Security models for Federated Search for Splunk (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/search/federated-search/10.4/run-federated-searches-across-other-splunk-deployments/service-accounts-and-security-for-federated-search-for-splunk/security-models-for-federated-search-for-splunk) and Define roles on the Splunk platform with capabilities (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/administer/manage-users-and-security/10.4/manage-splunk-platform-users-and-roles/define-roles-on-the-splunk-platform-with-capabilities) in the Splunk documentation. |
| In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.1, 10.2.6, 10.0.8, and 9.4.13, a user who does not hold the "admin" or "power" Splunk roles could trick another user into running arbitrary Search Processing Language (SPL) commands through the Data Model Editor using the permissions of the affected user. The commands could access all relevant data available to the affected user and affect system integrity. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk Web does not apply SPL safeguards for risky commands when the Data Model Editor runs the base search for auto-extracted fields. The vulnerability requires the attacker to phish the affected user by tricking them into initiating a request within their browser. The user who does not hold the "admin" or "power" Splunk roles should not be able to exploit the vulnerability at will. For more information see SPL safeguards for risky commands (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/administer/manage-users-and-security/10.4/best-practices-for-splunk-platform-security/spl-safeguards-for-risky-commands) and Define roles on the Splunk platform with capabilities (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/administer/manage-users-and-security/10.2/manage-splunk-platform-users-and-roles/define-roles-on-the-splunk-platform-with-capabilities) in the Splunk documentation. |
| is affected by an Incorrect Authorization vulnerability that could result in a Security feature bypass. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass security measures and gain limited unauthorized read and write access, causing a limited disruption to availability. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction. |
| is affected by an Incorrect Authorization vulnerability that could result in a Security feature bypass. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass security measures and gain unauthorized read and write access, potentially resulting in an application denial-of-service condition. The vulnerable component is restricted to an administrative network zone by default. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction. Scope is changed. |
| ColdFusion is affected by an Incorrect Authorization vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code. The vulnerable component is restricted to an administrative network zone by default. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction. |
| Incorrect authorization in frozen BI aggregations in Checkmk <2.5.0p2, <2.4.0p29, <2.3.0p47, and all 2.2.0 versions allows an authenticated user with restricted host and service visibility to learn the names and the existence of hosts and services they are not authorized to see. |
| The GutenKit WordPress plugin before 2.5.0 does not have a sufficient capability check on some of its REST API endpoints, allowing users with the Contributor role and above to retrieve mailing-list audience metadata from the site's connected marketing account. |
| stigmem versions before 0.9.0a12 contain a broken object level authorization vulnerability in the decay sweep endpoint that allows authenticated attackers with write credentials for one tenant to execute decay operations affecting all tenants. Attackers can submit POST requests to the decay sweep endpoint with ttl_seconds=0 to expire facts across all tenants, or use dry_run to obtain cross-tenant fact counts and existence information. |
| phpMyFAQ before 4.1.7 fails to properly enforce CONFIGURATION_EDIT permission on admin API read endpoints for LDAP, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, and dashboard configuration, allowing any authenticated user to access sensitive administrative data. Attackers can retrieve LDAP server topology, bind account names, search bases, index statistics, and site analytics by calling these endpoints with a valid session. |
| No cwe for this issue in Visual Studio Code CoPilot Chat Extension allows an unauthorized attacker to bypass a security feature over a network. |
| A privilege escalation vulnerability exists in Tenable Security Center that allows a user with "Security Manager" role and "manage user" permission on a single group to modify users belonging to other groups. This bypasses the intended access control restrictions and enables unauthorized cross-group user management. |
| Copyparty is a portable file server. Prior to 1.20.17, copyparty volumes with the dk or dks directory-key flag combined with the fk or fka file-key flag can convert a valid file key into a directory key, granting read access to the containing folder. This vulnerability was only reachable if both types of keys (filekeys and dirkeys) were manually enabled in the volume flags simultaneously. This issue is fixed in version 1.20.17. |
| Missing authorization in PostgreSQL DDL commands allows an object creator to achieve denial of service against ALTER and DROP of the type, via creating a dependency on the type. Many DDL operations did check the privilege, but assigning a range subtype and referencing the type from an SQL expression did not. Versions before PostgreSQL 18.5, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24 are affected. |
| Vulnerability in the Oracle HCM Configuration Workbench product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: Spreadsheet Loading). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.3-12.2.15. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle HCM Configuration Workbench. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle HCM Configuration Workbench accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle HCM Configuration Workbench accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle HCM Configuration Workbench. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.3 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L). |
| Mattermost versions 11.7.x <= 11.7.6, 10.11.x <= 10.11.21, 11.8.x <= 11.8.3 fail to validate BoardMember.Scheme* fields server-side on insert and archive-import paths which allows a board editor or non-guest team member to grant board admin to arbitrary users via POST /api/v2/boards/{boardID}/members and POST /api/v2/teams/{teamID}/archive/import.. | Missing Authorization vulnerability in Kings Plugins B2BKing allows Exploiting Incorrectly Configured Access Control Security Levels.
This issue affects B2BKing: from n/a through 5.2.30. |
| Missing authorization in PostgreSQL logical decoding allows a non-superuser holding REPLICATION privilege to dlopen any file visible to the operating system account running the server, via the choice of logical decoding plugin. This in turn runs arbitrary code as that account. Versions before PostgreSQL 18.5, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24 are affected. |
| The Zephyr kernel validates the k_thread_join() and k_thread_abort() system calls (declared __syscall in include/zephyr/kernel.h) through thread_obj_validate() in kernel/thread.c. Its default switch branch is the access-denied path, taken when k_object_validate() returns -EPERM (the calling user thread was never granted access to the target thread object) or -EBADF (the supplied pointer is not a registered kernel object of the right type). That branch invoked K_OOPS(K_SYSCALL_VERIFY_MSG(ret, "access denied")), but K_SYSCALL_VERIFY_MSG treats a true expression as success; the non-zero error code ret therefore read as "verified OK", the kernel oops was never raised, and control fell through to CODE_UNREACHABLE.
Because k_thread_join() and k_thread_abort() are system calls, an unprivileged user-mode thread (under CONFIG_USERSPACE) can reach this denial path directly by calling either syscall on a thread object it does not own. Instead of the offending thread being cleanly terminated, execution reaches __builtin_unreachable() while running in supervisor mode inside the syscall handler.
On Clang builds CODE_UNREACHABLE emits an illegal-instruction trap, so a user thread can deterministically crash the kernel — a locally triggerable denial of service that escapes the userspace sandbox. On GCC builds the path is undefined behavior: the compiler may drop the return-value handling for thread_obj_validate(), so it can return an undefined bool; if that is false, the caller proceeds into the real k_thread_join()/k_thread_abort() implementation for a thread the user was never authorized to access, an access-control bypass.
The fix changes the verification expression to ret == 0, so a denied (non-zero) result now correctly raises K_OOPS and terminates the offending caller. |
| Malcolm's nginx Lua role-based access control (RBAC) layer decides whether an authenticated user may reach a role-restricted path (e.g. /htadmin, /auth, /admin_login, /arkime/api/esadmin, NetBox, upload endpoints) by pattern-matching the raw, percent-encoded request URI. Nginx itself, however, selects which location block actually serves the request using the percent-decoded, normalized URI. Because the RBAC check never percent-decodes its input, an authenticated low-privilege user can request an admin-only path using percent-encoding (e.g. /%68tadmin.php) and have nginx route it to the restricted location while the Lua RBAC gate evaluating the un-decoded raw string finds no matching restriction and grants access. |
| Mattermost versions 11.7.x <= 11.7.6, 11.8.x <= 11.8.3 The access control policy unassign endpoint fails to re-validate that each target channel still belongs to the requesting admin's team, which allows an authenticated team administrator to remove ABAC (attribute-based access control) policy assignments from channels outside their team via the policy unassign API after a channel has been moved to another team..
